**What do you like best about Unbabel?**

The setup process has been relatively easy and pretty much plug and play, apart from the linguistic resources, which do take a bit of effort on our part (as expected). The results have been really good with a significant decrease in backlog cases and no decrease in quality.

**What do you dislike about Unbabel?**

Quite frankly, there is not much to add here, from our experience. If we could get Unbabel services for a cheaper fee or get some more significant discounts as we add more languages would be a nice to have feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Unbabel:**

If you handle multiple languages and need flexibility and scalability without jeopardizing quality Unbabel is a clear frontrunner to help you in that path.

We are using Unbabel to scale and add flexibility to our Customer Service teams. With Unbabel we can more effectively distribute the workload throughout our teams, delivering more quality and service to our customers and reducing recurring flexible costs in the process.

**What do you like best about Unbabel?**

Unbabel is a fantastic tool for businesses looking to bridge language gaps. The mix of AI and human editors ensures accurate, natural translations, and it integrates seamlessly into workflows. It’s easy to implement, has responsive customer support, and is used daily in our operations. Multilingual communication has never been easier.

**What do you dislike about Unbabel?**

Unbabel is great, but it has room for improvement. Customizing translations for niche industries takes time, and real-time speed for live chats could be faster. Pricing might also be a bit high for smaller businesses. Still, it’s a solid tool overall!

**What problems is Unbabel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

nbabel tackles the struggle of communicating with customers in different languages. It allows us to provide support in multiple languages, which is crucial as we expand into new markets. This has made it so much easier for us to connect with our customers and address their needs quickly. I love how it frees us from the stress of translation, so we can focus on what really matters—building relationships and providing great service. Plus, our customers appreciate being able to communicate in their preferred language, which boosts their satisfaction and loyalty.

- sometimes it does not send in 1 min time frame and my team is not sure what to do. Sometimes they use other translator system or sometimes keep sending messages and then customer is getting more then 1 reply
- have limitation so cannot replace human in 100%
- they not always inform about issues with the system - they are supprise when I report it to them sometimes
- cannot translat epictures which are  included in messages form customers. Message is translated but if in the picture is important info in foreign language -agents do not understand it

I can easily translate my article content within Zendesk.It saves me so much time ! The translated content is already imported with the Zendesk tool.

It was easy to implement, to integrate and the support is quick and efficient. 

I use it on a weekly basis, and won't change for another tool.

Sometimes the processing seems to take longer, causing doubts as to whether the translation is being processed properly. In the end, however, these always do come through properly.

**What do you like best about Unbabel?**

To preface - I think Unbabel as a company and a product has the best of intentions, and would probably work well for a large majority of use cases. Its support translation tool (integrated into Zendesk ticketing) is second to none, and works almost flawlessly, delivering pretty solid translations quickly - our agents had no trouble adjusting to using it and incorporating it into our standard workflows. The concept of varying "pipelines" of translation quality, dependent on cost, it a good one also - and it is very clearly outlined as to how it works when you onboard. The customised portal that Unbabel offers is a reasonable manner of tracking workflow, although could be improved.

On an implementation level, the team you are assigned is incredibly friendly and are (in most cases)  very responsive and able to solve issues that arise along the way. Weekly syncs are useful and where they are not available to support, their own support team is there offering technical expertise promptly and effectively.

**What do you dislike about Unbabel?**

We were sold on the idea that Unbabel's full-PEMT pipeline (their highest quality AI-assisted option) would deliver near indistinguishable levels of quality from full human translation - this used in combination with their Zendesk Guide integration for our Help Centre. Our content was very technical, and unfortunately in use it turned out that their model was not capable of handling the complexity of the writing. Even though a significant amount of it went via human translators, the context as to our product, the terminology and things such as gendering (in German, for example) - were not able to be communicated and delivered effectively.

In addition, their Zendesk Guide integration was poor and lacked a number of very simple features - such as bulk article selection & accurate translation statuses.

Although there is so much focus on AI nowadays, there are simply some areas that AI cannot match a human for - and complex translation (even in better trained model languages such as French & German) is one of those aspects.

**What problems is Unbabel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unbabel was supposed to help both with our support team translations (on tickets) and simultaneously with our Help Centre (FAQ article) content translations. The former worked very well, the latter, not so well. We have eventually determined that we cannot proceed with Unbabel beyond the first year due to the latter issue.

There have also been occasional bugs that prevent Unbabel from delivering translations directly to end users. However, it is worth noting that the system still ensures delivery to agents, allowing them to manually forward the translations. Despite these minor drawbacks, our overall satisfaction with Unbabel remains high.

Unbabel is very easy to use, and the translations seem to be on-point for the more technical support tickets as well, which is a big upside. 
Putting everything live was also no problem (install this and that, login there, and done).

At the moment, we're completely satisfied with the service.

The problem that Unbabel is solving is that not all our engineers speak Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, Spanish, and English. Nor do all our customers speak English, so a translation service lets everybody speak in a language their comfortable with.

**What do you like best about Unbabel?**

I use Unbabel primarily for translating a newsletter generated on Mailchimp to other languages. It is very easy to create my newsletter in English, download the HTML file and upload that to Unbabel for translation - all while keeping the original format. (I'm absolutely not tech-savvy in any way). But in general for things that don't require any special formatting you can just copy and paste your text into the box and it comes back in the language you select - straight forward.

In addition to how easy it is to use, the turn around time is actually alot faster than advertised and the tech support is helpful and responsive.  Those two points are quite important to me since alot of my work is time sensitive.

Several team members at my organisation share the Unbabel account and we can easily track who is translating what project, the % of translation left to use for that period, user management can be done by one of our staff.

On the whole I would recommend this service. I also regularly use human translation and interpretation, google translate, DeepL pro and Unbabel is probably the best for anyone doing comms that needs a reasonible turn around time at a high quality.

**What do you dislike about Unbabel?**

The service that we have is to translate English to 5 different languages (and not from other languages to English). If I could change anything, I would recommend getting your top two languages translated to your main working language - rather than just have your main working language translated to other languages. For example, we work mainly in English and regularly translate to Spanish - our service is English to Spanish. But next time I would order the service that allows translation from Spanish to English too. 

This has nothing to do with Unbabel and everything to do with the package we selected. We didn't realise what we needed until we started using Unbabel, especially since we have been growing as an organisation this year. Again, this was just poor planning on our part and nothing to do with Unbabel.

The biggest timesaver is Unbabel's ability to maintain the original format of documents that I submit to the system.  Otherwise, I would have to create a separate re-formatted document for each language audience, which would take a significant amount of time.

Unbabel has enhanced our our capability to provide reliably high-quality customer support in multiple languages, which has improved the experience we provide to our customers and the extent to which our teams in different locations can support each other. The team at Unbabel has been incredibly helpful in helping us to make a success of our Unbabel implementation, and to respond to our ongoing needs.

No major dislikes: where we have encountered challenges, the Unbabel team has been very supportive in helping us to overcome them.

**What problems is Unbabel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using Unbabel, we have been able to leverage English-language customer support resources around the world in offering a multi-language capability: our agents receive the customer's email translated to Engglish, they then compose an English-language response that is then translated into the customer's language, to a very high standard, securely, and customised to meet our specific translation requirements (for example, treating words differently if occuring in product names versus general text). We have also used this capability to provide knowledgebase articles in multiple languages, as well as for secure translation of internal text.

Unbabel has allowed us to make the most of our Care team. We're no longer blocked by language skills, making the experience more seamless for our customers. As well as making the translation of our Help center articles easy. We can now focus on providing more quality replies and improving our knowledge base.

**What do you dislike about Unbabel?**

We still have some bugs from time to time, but the customer happiness team is always super reactive and provides either a solution, alternative or explanation to the problem as soon as possible. Our point of contact have always been attentive to our need and made sure to present the best options.

We have WW clients, but is wasn't easy to find customer care agents who would speak all the languages needed, plus it wasn't the most cost effective solution. It has really helped is manage the volume better and improve the communication with our client's. Also, we've been able to translation our Help center articles faster.

**What do you like best about Unbabel?**

We have been utilising the translation services provided by Unbabel at our workplace for a while now. Overall, we have found their service characterised by quick response times, approachability, and a demonstrated willingness to improve where possible.

Their systems handle translation requests swiftly, and when we submit translation feedback, these are handled promptly with detailed responses and concrete actions.

Moreover, the team at Unbabel has consistently shown a friendly and approachable attitude. They are always receptive to our inquiries and responsive to any specific requirements or instructions we provide. This level of communication has fostered a positive working relationship between our teams.

Despite occasional challenges, Unbabel has demonstrated a genuine willingness to address these concerns and improve where possible. They have been receptive to our feedback and have taken steps to ensure our expectations are met to the best of their ability.

Their quick response times, friendliness, and willingness to improve make them valuable partners for our translation needs.

There have been occasional translations that did not meet the quality standards, which slipped through the quality assurance safety nets. However, as mentioned, the team has been responsive and collaborative in finding concrete solutions. We appreciate the proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Unbabel is solving the challenge of providing multilingual customer support, which significantly benefits us by allowing us to support customers in a broader range of languages. With Unbabel's support, we can assign our customer support heroes to handle a multitude of multilingual support queries, enabling us to assist more customers faster. The service eliminates language barriers and helps us deliver the right expertise to every customer, no matter from which market our customer is.

**What do you like best about Unbabel?**

The team love that there is a real person translating, as opposed to a bot, their messages because they also help with grammar. It is also really quick an efficient and speed is really important in this industry! Customers want answers and they want them asap!

**What do you dislike about Unbabel?**

Some of our agents do not use unbable on Sprinklr Live Chat. When they already have 3 chats going on simultaneously, it is difficult for them to have to open another window. We have a lot of systems as is so we would love to integrate it within Sprinklr

**What problems is Unbabel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again just providing us with translations in a super quick time frame. Particularly during peak when customers have the tendancy to be more impatient. The quicker we get a resonse from unbabel, the quicker we can go back to the customer and resolve their query. We also really love that we can translate our help centres, this means we can help more people across more regions. We want our brand to be inviting and unbabel allows us to do that!

Always quick to respond to any queries and get problems sorted quickly. Always happy to accomodate on tight deadlines.

The ease platform could be a bit more user friendly when uploading documents. For example, taking away any options that are not included in the package you have, just to speed up the upload.

We have 2 non english sites that require translations. Before Unbabel we were using different agencies to translate content with meant it was hard to keep consistency. Also, having the platform to upload documents  saves time as you are not waiting for someone to respond to email to organise the translation. The platform also make it easy to raise multiple translation requests at one time and keep track of them.

Unbabel is user-friendly and slick. It allows us to support our global users from limited bases and internal language cover. We always receive excellent service when we seek collaboration on expansion or quality analysis.

**What do you dislike about Unbabel?**

There haven´t been any things to dislike; their service has been outstanding. A small, "even better if" suggestion would be to allow the user to change from formal to informal tone on each transaction instead of having this set by language. This is a tiny point - overall a delighted customer.

We do not have native support in-house for all the languages we deal with. Unbable allows us to service customers in their native language, without having to recruit internally.

The level of support and openness to trying things out has been incredible from day one. Evelyn and the team have displayed a perfect blend of professionalism, speed and friendliness, making each interaction a pleasure.

More clarity on timelines for integrations with specific systems would be great. We'd benefit from having a clearer idea of if/when integrations will be prioritised by Unbabel so that we can better manage our expectations and make measured decisions.

Unbabel are working closely with us to identify the best solution to support our user marketing comms, sent via our CRM platform, Braze. As an administrator of Unbabel at Wise, I find the Unbabel portal most helpful. The ability to view usage and quality statistics, add users for access, and flag any potential incorrect translations all in one hub makes my job much more manageable and convenient. I have grown to really like the UBB portal :)

It is difficult for me to pinpoint something I dislike, but I can identify something that I feel may be a missing feature I have seen in competitors: attachment translation. This feature may be handy for our CS agents working on foreign language cases.

Unbabel does a great job of translating our communications into several languages, unlocking the possibility of mobilizing agents trained in other languages to assist in unexpected events of high demand. This benefit is a game changer, allowing us to quickly adjust work assignments to meet the SLAs that our Customers expect.

The current integration with our CRM tool has some gaps, and while it's fast to use, it provides a slightly different experience for the Representatives from what they're used to.

The translation is great and really allows my team and our customers to have a conversation without any barriers. It has been easily integrated into our ticketing tool - originally Zendesk and then Salesforce without any issues. The team and UB were a great help in making this happen.

None. The application is great and no negative comments. I would recommend its use to other companies and departments to enable their teams to grow and exand in to new counties.

I feel like Unbabel is the most efficient way to bring people together. Makes me think about Babilon where everyone spoke it's own language but still understood eachother.

There are no dislikes from my end. I think that on certain languages there is still room for improvement and sometimes the human factor feels missing because of idioms and casual speaking mostly but I'm sure in time this can be further developped and get better at recognizing even the particularities in speech.

Dealing with chats on multiple languages and having the opportnity to benefit of real time translation. Unbabel is solving headcount issue on multiple languages at the moment.

UnBabel is a tool that we have been using for just short of 2 years for translations that need to be done in a CX environment.  I really enjoy the fact that the tool is simple and very sure friendly.

The main thing that I dislike at this stage is that the tool is only able to translate from English to other languages which makes cross-language translations tough to do.  Especially when the translator is not native in English.

It is allowing us to efficiently handle our tickets in CX as we do not constantly have to depend on various language teams to assist with support. We have not seen a drastic decrease in AHT not an increase in CSAT.

Zenly loves that Unbabel can help us support our customers in all languages. It is fast and professional. It is a pleasure to get in touch with their support. They are super fast and friendly. Working with Unbabel brings us joy. It translates all the tickets we receive automatically, moreover, you can request the translations easily.

Zenly didn't find any disadvantages :) Unbabel is perfect for us. We have weekly meetings with the Success manager to discuss issues or potential improvements.

Unbabel is intigrated into zendesk. We have really rare issues with Unbabel when it doesn't translate/work properly. However, it has never been a problem for them to fix it super quickly :)

I used Unbabel for Japanese to English translations. Translations were delivered instantly and with good quality. I had peace of mind while using sensitive data which was crucial for my use case. All in all it's a very good product and recommended for quality of translations and handling of sensitive data.

Cost and lead time for onboarding new language pairs. Turnaround time for bug fixing. Lack of an API for software integration.

I find it extremely helpful that the translation process has an extra layer of proofreading done by humans. Since the time we started using Unbable I could see crazy improvements in the quality of the translations, which often sound more human than something that is usually a result of a machine translation. 
It's impressive to see how the machine translation learns from grammar and spelling mistakes in the source text and avoids reporting them in the result translation text. 
Overall I really appreciate working with Unbabel team, which has always been so helpful and supported us in the implementation of the tool and still assists us in finding easy solutions to every problem we ever presented.

Overall, my experience with Unbabel has been great but I would love it if the tool could welcome in an easier way the usage of pre-made text.

There are two aspects of Unbabel that stand out prominently in my mind. First, their product works like a charm! Second, the folks at Unbabel are super attentive and transparent.  Every conversation with them was direct, positive, and most importantly, they followed through. We value partners we can trust and Unbabel has earned that trust a dozen times over.  One of our best business decisions was signing with Unbabel!

UH, wow, to be honest, I wouldn't change a thing. Seriously.  How awesome is that?

**What problems is Unbabel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our market, we support multiple languages.  Recruiting multi-lingual agents has been a true obstacle. Even with offers of higher pay, we had difficulty finding multi-lingual agents. Even when we find them, there is more work than we have multi-lingual agents to handle.  This leads to higher burnout rates.   Unbabel relieves us of that pressure for both email and chat.  This has been a HUGE boost to our service efficiency, agent retention, and budget cost reduction efforts. As a by-product, both customer and agent satisfaction scores have improved as well.  Plus their price is very reasonable. Toss in their dedicated and honest support team, well what's not to love?
