"Umbraco: Clean Backend, Flexible CMS That Saves Time"

What do you like best about Umbraco?

I've been using Umbraco for over two years now, and even before that, I watched my father work with it for five years — so it's been a platform I've trusted for a long time.

One of the things I appreciate most is how easy it is to design with and edit. The backend is clean and well-organized, and you can get to any element or piece of content quickly without unnecessary complexity. This has saved me a lot of time and effort in my day-to-day work, especially given the nature of the projects I handle.

I've used Umbraco to build more than 12 projects for large companies, and every time, it's proven flexible and capable of handling different requirements without major issues. That stability and flexibility is why I rely on it for almost all of my projects now.

Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone or any team looking for a strong, flexible, and easy-to-use content management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

One issue I've run into is when deploying Umbraco to a server — sometimes after making an edit or adding something new to the templates, the changes don't get picked up right away. I end up having to restart the server just to see the update reflected. It's a small thing, but it has been frustrating at times, especially when I'm trying to move quickly on a client project. What problems is Umbraco solving and how is that benefiting you?

Umbraco makes it much easier to build and manage content-driven websites for clients without reinventing the wheel each time. Since I build sites for large companies, having a CMS that's flexible enough to adapt to different business needs — while still being easy to edit and maintain — saves me a huge amount of time and effort on every project. Instead of spending extra hours on content management logistics, I can focus more on customizing the site to fit each client's specific requirements.
