What do you like best about UltraEdit?

Although the editor is fantastic, the relationship with UltraEdit over the years is the best. They ALWAYS help you with whatever you need. Licensing problems, editor comments, OMG. And FAST. You generally won't wait for days. The helpful response is coming.

As fart as the editor goes, writing macros is SO easy. Replacements, formatting, changing code, looking for something, alphabetizing. I have never found anything that the editor should be able to do that it can't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UltraEdit?

If I had to complain about anything, it is that they modify the code with great regularity, and there always seems to be an update available. Do you realize how good this company is if that is all I can find to dislike? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UltraEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?

The business problems that UE solves for me is making the output of "A" compatible as the input to "B". There seems to be a constant opportunity, whether is it importing a list into output, fixing a grading program output for input in to BlackBoard. Finding patterns in data, "hidden" in comments.
