What do you like best about UltraEdit?

I love column mode. I also like hex mode. Overall this is a fantastic editor... the fact that I can use the same editor on any operating system is amazing.

I have, multiple times, over the years contacted IDM about issues with UltraEdit. They have always been extremely responsive and work to resolve my issues.

The two features I use most are hex mode and column mode. These alone make it worthwhile, but the continuous work towards making the product better and listening to customers are key reasons I bought a lifetime license and have never regretted it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UltraEdit?

My only real complaints are that the Mac version isn't quite as good as the Windows version. and the scroll bars on the linux version are a bit difficult to grab with the mouse... But I reached out about this, and they're working on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UltraEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I've been using UltraEdit for about 16 years... It does everything I want a text editor to do. I use many editors, but UltraEdit is the one I go to when I need to work with data in text format. I use this for editing code (these days mostly, Python, Javascript, HTML, and SQL) and manipulating data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
