UKG is also user friendly. I like that I am able to punch in on the wall clock, the computer and my phone. I also like that the system can track the location of the person punching. My job requires us to clock in while onsite. Lots of people have attempted to punch in prior to arriving on location. UKG is not having it, the location, time and method of punch is always documented. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** To be honest it took me some time to think of what I don't like. I have punched in several times and the punch recorded on the system says someone elses name. I am sure to stay to verify that I am actually being clocked in under my name. I also dislike that sometimes I punch in but my punch is not recorded. Other than that, I pretty much like UKG. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am not aware of any problem solving that UKG is doing. ### 2. So far, communication with the implementation team has been outstanding. They are incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and quick to address any questions or concerns we've had. Their formal process, which includes discovery, review, and sign-off stages, is well-structured and instills confidence in the implementation journey. While we haven’t gone live on the system yet, we are eagerly anticipating the transformation this will bring to our business. The features and capabilities of UKG are poised to be a game-changer for us, especially compared to where we were before. This system will provide our employees with more insight and access than they’ve ever had with our current setup. We’re excited for the opportunities this will unlock for our team and our business operations. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** While we’re not live on the system yet and can’t comment on specific challenges or downsides, I will say that the implementation process is a major undertaking. Be prepared to dedicate significant time and effort to this project, as it’s crucial to get everything set up correctly. Payroll impacts every employee, so attention to detail and thoroughness during implementation are essential. This is not a process to rush—take your time and make sure everything is accurate. I also highly recommend allowing plenty of time to watch the training tutorials and familiarize yourself with the system. These resources are invaluable for ensuring a smooth transition and proper usage once the system goes live. We didn't realize how time-intensive this project was going to be, especially with the training videos, so please be prepared! These are not dislikes of UKG but rather notes to those who may be thinking about using UKG Ready for their payroll system. UKG Ready has been an excellent partner in this conversion process. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** We look forward to more automation and our employees being able to be more self sufficient with questions on amount of PTO time and can I get a copy of my pay stub, for a couple of examples. I love that any data or information I can see in front of me in the system can easily be exported to csv. The UI really is the most intuitive I have worked with (ADP, Paycom, and an in-house system) **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** I was disappointed in it's scheduling module. As a manufacturing plant we have set work day schedules for the whole year. The only fluctuation is what time to come in at. With 300+ employees at a plant, it would be a tall ask of my supervisors to go into each person and add a schedule every 30 days. UKG didn't have a time period longer than 30 days for a schedule template. We do have niche need for scheduling as I believe we are different than most with supervisor responsibilities and schedule set up. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** A big conversation is integrations with Employer Navigator for our benefits management. Should hopefully see a direct connection in the future. ### 4. We switched from another payroll software and UKG was fairly intuitive from the start and very easy to navigate for me to manage my team. There are also more robust features from what we were using before (Paycor) **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** I have been using the software for only a few months now, but no issues so far. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** Big improvement from the last workforce management software my company was using, which had a very clunky UI and was difficult to understand. HR switched to UKG primarily to help handle payroll for international entities. As a user, transition and onboarding was fairly simple because the interface was clear. It has provided clear direction for my other team members and access to the information they need to do their jobs effectively. UKG Ready is so powerful and comprehensive. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** It is a tremendous amount of work to get set up with UKG Ready if you have a smaller team to help get set up, however the effort is worth it. UKG Ready forces you to ensure all aspects of your business is organized and set up for success. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** UKG Ready solves all of the issues we had previously; it is impossible to sum up quickly. From comprehensive personnel managment and overall HR, it has been a lifesaver. We onboard about 4-6 new hires/week in the healthcare industry and being able to systemize our appicant tracking and onboarding has been incredibly helpful. Also in our industry, we often have to provide shift incentives and UKG Ready makes it easy to do so for our supervisors. ### 6. The UI is very clean and easy on the eyes. I like that it's not "busy" with a many colors and too much information on the "home" screen after login. Also, I like that some of the widgets can be resized and moved around, and that button icons are easy to understand at a quick glance. Last, I appreciate that my bookmarked link doesn't require me to sign in or authenticate with a 2FA method each time I need to submit a timepunch (especially when it's 07:59:45 and it's time to clock in!). **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** UKG Ready does feel a bit "clunky;" considering that I've been using it only for about 3.5 weeks. Sometimes, widgets you've previously adjusted move back to their original/default locations. Point of improvement: when requesting a new PTO request for a date after requests already approved, the platform doesn't seem to accurately calculate the PTO that would've available for the future request (i.e., doesn't take into account the PTO alloted for the closer/already approved request). **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** UKG Ready makes it easier to see all of my important information in one place - personal details/demographics, compensation/base pay, accruals, emergency contacts, etc. Also, the W-4 form is very simple and user-friendly. This is an improvement over the previous payroll platform. ### 9. It's something my job uses daily so I've grown accustom to the features. It's very simple using the clock in/clock out feature and calculating how much time I have worked and my time off balances. It's almost as if they've thought of everything through the app. I like how I can access my pay stubs and any other paper work my job wants me to complete through UKG as well. I've never run into any extreme issues with UKG and from someone who uses it to get paid, I think that's really important. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** Although I love it, there are a few hiccups that I have faced with the interface and how to interact with it. When implementing time off, I find there are extra steps users have to take to do so and I had to teach myself how to properly do it. As someone who works part time at a corporation that uses UKG, the way I have to put my time off is already a little different than my full time counterparts. Another thing I find finicky is how in order to Delete my cancled lunch, I have to delete that day. Why not click CL again to undo it? I still find the application easy to use and it didnt take much to get used to it. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** As someone who forgets to clock out/in occasionally, being able to do it myself instead of asking a supervisor to fix my time for me means a lot. The straight forward ease of entering time, modifying entries, and accessing historical time management is what really makes me love this software! The prior software I used was definitely not user friendly nor did it seem to have intuitive organization like UKG Ready does. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** I would truly appreciate more in app training on the numerous tasks completed in UKG Ready for co-workers who are not computer savvy. Whenever someone cannot locate a task or find historical data, they come to me. Typically, their issue is just not slowing down to look at the various tasks within a category. I would love to point them to a training video and say, go check it out. I have heard from a few people that there is too much to go through or choose from regarding options in the program; my response is, "How is that a problem?" I am thrilled with layout and quantity of information and tasks available. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** UKG Ready is a one-stop app to have all of my HR and time and attendance records and information at my fingertips! The phone app is awesome and I have yet to encounter any issues with accessing the program, regardless where I am at! ### 11. Most everything is fairly intuitive and there are always resources available. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** There is so much to learn. One step and one module at a time. Had an issue recently where we transferred 3 employees from one EIN to another. Turns out in Ready things like PTO and sick accruals do not transfer. It has helped us go from very manual procesess, and double and triple entry to a one stop shop for our HR team as well as our employees. While going through implementation you have your bumps in the road but everyone we worked with we were never worried about it not getting resolved or figuring out our solution to make it easier! I love how UKG provides tools and resources to help you continue to use your system better, and they really take the customers feedback and put it into use when changing, adding, or updating any parts of the system. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** Can't really think of anything - the biggest thing for me was a mindshift change from using another HRIS Software. It is not set up like most I have worked in and the naming or location of things is just different. It is truly one big excel spreedsheet. We love the quick response we receive on questions we have. The support community has allowed us to problem solve without contacting UKG reps as well. There are a ton of learning modules and the constant movement towards improveing the product and services was a big selling point for us. We also loved our implementation and build team! My team works in the system daily and really appreciates the ease of use. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** I think integration. It would be nice if UKG was able to pull information from some of the old systems rather than the team needing to spend the time on that. Those pieces were extremely time consuming and at times overwhelming...but, when it's said and done, we are extremely satisfied with the product and that we moved to UKG after years of struggle with no resolution in our old system! **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time keeping and attendance tracking has improved greatly, the applicant tracking and workforce management has reduced the struggles we used to have in completing these tasks. It made navigating the site extremely easy, and the training was quick and self paced! The site is broken down into different tabs with subcateories that make it easy to find where you are trying to go. I also appreciate that you can get to certain tasks in multiple ways instead of just one. For example, if I want to submit a PTO request, there are 3 different places I can do that throughout UKG. A nice fail asfe for users is the optional search bar at the top! Just type in whatever area you are trying to find and it will gelp navigate you there. I am pleasantly surprised with this site. Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect but I am very happy with UKG!! **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** My relationship with UKG is still in the early stages so I have not come across any negatives so far. I know the search bar will help me with anything I cannot find. It would be nice to have options for users to select color themes to personalize their login page, but it is not necessary by any means, just for fun! Lastly, it would be nice and super helpful to include a NOTES section below the main page's login section so that small notes can be included with any punch-ins or punch-outs. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** I appreciate that everything work related I need, is perfectly organized withint UKG. This includes my pay info, time stubs, statements, tax information, and so much more. It is an app well-designed for daily use for the average employee. The UI is also very pleasantly designed with several options available for several different types of employee needs. **What do you dislike about UKG Ready?** Some parts of the UX are a mixed bag. There have been a handful of times in the last couple of months where everybody on my team could not clock out on time due to some sort of issue with the app's servers. Sometimes it will let me log in and then tell me I'm not logged in repeatedly until I restart the app. It doesn't run well on in the background of one's phone, but it does well on PC interfaces. **What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving a lot of problems. Gone are the days of using paper clock in and out forms - apps are the future of employment needs.
