What do you like best about TypingMind?

As an engineering student, I use AI a lot to debug my C++ code for microcontroller projects involving Arduino and ESP8266. Standard AI chats get super messy because all my hardware troubleshooting, web server code, and regular college assignment research get mixed up in one long sidebar. TypingMind lets me create separate folders for different projects. For example, I have a dedicated folder just for my "Smart Irrigation System" code. Also, plugging in my own OpenAI API key is way cheaper on a student budget than paying a flat premium subscription every month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TypingMind?

Setting up the API key for the first time and importing old chats took a little bit of trial and error. Also, since you are paying per token via your own API, you have to constantly check your usage on the OpenAI dashboard so you don't accidentally overspend while debugging a huge block of messy code. Some of the features like complex AI agents are cool but honestly a bit overkill for just standard student homework or basic coding help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TypingMind solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves two big problems for me: chat organization and cost. Trying to find an old piece of working sensor code from a chat 3 weeks ago was a huge headache on regular AI interfaces. TypingMind's folder system keeps my lab work and project code neatly separated and easy to search.
