Recommendations to others considering twine:
The idea of speed networking can be intimidating for those who have never experienced it. I suggest having a trial session where you ask your participants to indulge you by hanging on through two speed networking sessions (maybe 3-4 minutes each). Once they've tried it they'll be hooked! What problems is twine solving and how is that benefiting you?
We discovered twine because our leadership team of 40 (we are a 1,400+ global org) was challenged with the task of meeting one-on-one with each other - in the span of 10 working days! It's not easy to fit 39 meetings into that period of time *and* maintain your day job! One of our colleagues searched for a "remote speed dating" solution and happened upon twine. The rest is history! Our team was able to complete all our one-on-ones in two 90-minute fast-paced, fun filled meetings! We did a rotation of 4-minute meetings where participants shared their role/title, what they're working on and what needs they have, if any.
We laughed A LOT and enjoyed the spontaneous nature of the quick rotation. The interface was lovely and included the prompting questions along with a little timer in the corner with chiming alerts to keep track of when the session would end. It was branded to our company's colors, logos etc. so it looked like our own space.
People loved it so much we decided to look for ways to use it cross-departmentally within teams for connection and collaboration. We added a twine session to the end of an all-company Townhall where hundreds of our team members were able to randomly connect with colleagues from across the globe. It was a huge hit! I personally got to speak with a co-worker from the Phillipines. In my role, this is a person whom I would never have the need to talk with yet through use of twine, we had a meaningful and impactful conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
