What do you like best about TVPaint Animation?

Easy to learn and even easier to use. I've used it for every single stage of the animation pipeline: preproduction (animatics with easy to edit audio options!), production (the built-in camera makes it painless to plan my shots inside the program without having to depend on AE), and post-production (shading, textures or color correction can all be done IN the shot, no need to export to an outside program). What do you dislike about TVPaint Animation?

the lack of vector options does it make it limited; in the sense that once my pixel-drawing is done, shrinking or expanding it would make it pixelate something awful. I'd have to plan very carefully my shots around that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TVPaint Animation:

it's a big investment, but it pays itself off within the first project. once you get it, you'll wonder why you were so hesitant or how you managed without it in the first place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TVPaint Animation solving and how is that benefiting you?

it's a heavy investment at first, but it minimizes the need/use of outside programs like AE or Premier when i can easily edit everything inside the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
