**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

What I like best about TrustArc is its comprehensive and scalable approach to privacy management. The platform doesn’t just provide compliance checklists—it enables organizations to operationalize privacy through automation, centralized data mapping, and continuous risk assessment. I also appreciate how TrustArc stays ahead of evolving regulations like GDPR and CCPA, giving teams confidence that their privacy programs remain compliant and efficient.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

While TrustArc is a strong platform overall, one area I think could be improved is the user experience. Some modules can feel a bit complex or require additional configuration to fully leverage their capabilities. Streamlining navigation and making reporting more intuitive would make the platform even more powerful.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc is solving the complex challenge of managing global privacy compliance in an ever-changing regulatory landscape. It centralizes activities like data mapping, risk assessments, consent management, and regulatory reporting into a single platform. This helps streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and ensure our privacy program remains audit-ready and compliant across multiple jurisdictions. It ultimately saves time, increases visibility, and builds trust with customers and stakeholders.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

What I like best about TrustArc is how it brings structure and consistency to privacy work that would otherwise be very manual and fragmented.

The platform provides a centralized way to manage key privacy processes such as data subject requests, PIAs/DPIAs, vendor assessments, data mapping, cookie consent, and regulatory tracking. This has helped reduce reliance on spreadsheets and email-based workflows, improving overall efficiency and visibility.

One of the biggest benefits is the ability to standardize processes and create repeatable workflows, which makes it easier to maintain consistency across teams and scale the program as needs grow.

It also supports better cross-functional collaboration by giving stakeholders a shared framework to work from, rather than operating in silos.

I’ve had prior experience with TrustArc in a previous role, which gave me confidence in adopting it again. It’s a mature platform that supports a more operational approach to privacy.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

Like most enterprise platforms, there’s an upfront effort required to fully configure it and get the most value. It’s highly configurable, but that can take time to tailor to your organization. Expanding into additional modules can also add to the cost.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my experience, and from working across various implementations, the main problem TrustArc solves is moving privacy programs away from manual, fragmented processes (e.g., spreadsheets, email tracking, and inconsistent documentation) to a more structured and centralized approach.

This shift enables organizations to standardize workflows such as assessments, data subject requests, data mapping, and regulatory reporting, which improves consistency and reduces manual effort. It also creates better visibility into privacy risks and activities, which is difficult to achieve with more ad hoc approaches.

The benefit is a more scalable and operational privacy program, teams spend less time managing processes and more time focusing on risk and decision-making. It also supports better cross-functional collaboration by providing a shared framework across stakeholders.

  ### 3. A One-Stop Privacy Platform That Makes Risk Assessments and DSARs Effortless

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

It’s a true one-stop shop. From cookie banners to complex risk assessments, everything talks to each other. It makes a really complicated job feel way more manageable and organized. Instead of chasing people with spreadsheets, I can manage all our assessments and data maps in one spot. The automation for DSARs alone has saved our team hours of manual work every week.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

The pricing isn't the most transparent. It’s an enterprise-grade tool with an enterprise-grade price tag, so it might be overkill for smaller teams. Also, I wish there were more self-service options for customization instead of having to hop on a call with support for certain technical tweaks.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were losing track of where all our customer data was stored across different departments. It gives us a single source of truth. Now, if someone asks where our EU data is sitting, I can actually answer them in seconds instead of launching a two-week investigation
Handling DSARs (data requests) and risk assessments was a full-time manual job that relied on endless spreadsheets. Automation. It’s taken the "busy work" off my plate so I can actually focus on strategy. We’ve cut down our response times for privacy requests significantly.

  ### 4. A Well-Designed App with Great Potential

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

It is user friendly. They Nymity AI is so useful, where we can learn alot of stuff. The real-time alerts and centralized dashboard are game-changers for managing assessments. Started using the Data Mapping feature. Introduced the automation stuff but it is not quite iplemented.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

The TrustArc support team sometimes takes longer than expected to resolve issues. In certain cases, they send standard procedures without first checking our specific settings. Only after we raise the issue again they dig deeper. Instead of being proactive, their approach tends to be reactive. The Linking Feature needs to be improvised - we don't think it is fulfilling the need. The Data Mapping can be improved.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) TrustArc is helping us streamline Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and data mapping, which are critical for our compliance efforts. By centralizing and automating these processes, it reduces manual effort, ensures consistency, and helps us maintain better visibility into how personal data flows across our systems. This supports our regulatory compliance and improves our overall data governance.
2) We are facing issues in revalidating PIAs. We are trying to use the linking features which needs to automatically pick the latest template for the revalidation assessment.
For example, If we send an assessment named "AAA" in 2025 of version 1 and later if we are updating the template to version 2 , then the revalidation alert for the assessment "AAA" needs to automatically pick version 2.
The TrustArc team is working on it, if it is resolved it will be much beneficial for us. 
3) We are recently using Data Mapping, we have requested the team to design some colour for the mapping process.
For example, Integrate is a platform, where the process starts from A then B and goes to Integrate platform then the process C starts and again it goes to Integrate platform then the process end with the customer. While we map this process everything shows like a interconnection which seems confusing. If a colouring option is given by TrustArc team it will be beneficial to differentiate the process.
4) The Linking feature needs to be improvised. There is no save button and there is no option to test it.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

TrustArc has been key to our operations, enabling us to scale and mature our privacy compliance programs within an enterprise organization in one of the most regulated sectors. The platform has also been instrumental in helping us execute and automate tasks and optimize privacy-related consulting costs with exceptional performance. Arc's AI functionality is invaluable for generating reports, searching for information, and understanding the progress of our compliance program. The onboarding and support team is fantastic, with weekly follow-up meetings and immediate support, even on weekends.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

From a UX perspective, we need the platform to be available in Spanish. We use the platform for Latin America, and its lack of availability in our native language is possibly the biggest barrier we face in the learning curve for our end users. In a competitive landscape, the price could also be improved to better suit emerging markets.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc helps us comply with current local regulations, which require us to demonstrate evidence of processing activity records, impact assessments, and records of personal data rights exercised. The tool greatly facilitates collaboration between consultants, organizational departments, DPOs, and stakeholders. We are currently evaluating integrations to improve the traceability of our information and personal data.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

I like using TrustArc for managing cookie consent management, which helps comply with GDPR laws related to user privacy. I appreciate the TrustArc OneCCM Self Service platform for managing day-to-day operations, like setting up GDPR or CCPA compliant cookie consent banners and updating user privacy choices by myself. I also value the professional services support for additional requirements that the OneCCM platform can't address alone. It's very easy to set up a banner with TrustArc, as there's a small script provided that can be injected into the website to invoke the banners.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

TrustArc OneCCM tool is not completely a self-service tool. In my experience, there are multiple other tools working in tandem with OneCCM to support the implementations, most of which are not available to me as a user. This adds up extra lead time to any request. If OneCCM can be made 100% self-sufficient to address the requirements around setting up consent banners, it would be really good.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TrustArc to manage cookie consent and GDPR compliance. The OneCCM Self Service platform helps me set up compliant banners and update privacy choices, while professional services support more complex needs.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

What stands out most is the human element present throughout our engagement with them. Throughout our collaboration with TrustArc, we have had dedicated contacts who guide us, answer questions, and explain their feedback in detail. There’s an ongoing dialogue, and it’s helpful to understand why certain findings are raised and how best to address them. They also inform us of any updates to requirements and how to answer (new/updated) questions. 

From a platform perspective, TrustArc provides a clear structure to what would otherwise be quite a complex certification process. Everything is set up in a way that makes it easier to track requirements, upload evidence, and see what’s still outstanding, which helps keep things organized. 

It’s also useful that they review submissions and flag gaps or areas that need improvement. That guidance helps ensure alignment with CBPR/PRP requirements and generally strengthens our privacy program. 

Overall, it’s a helpful combination of a structured tool and hands-on support, which makes the process more manageable year over year.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

The main downside has been some technical issues with the platform. For example, there have been instances where updates weren’t saved properly, which meant re-entering information and losing some time in the process. That can be frustrating, especially when working through a large number of questions.  

It can also feel quite manual and time-intensive, particularly when updating or reviewing responses and supporting documents each year.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc helps simplify the certification process by giving us a structured way to manage all the questions, responses, and evidence in one place. Without that, it would be much harder to keep track of everything and ensure consistency across submissions. 

It also helps identify gaps in our responses or documentation through their review process, which makes it easier to address issues early and improve the overall quality of what we submit. 

More broadly, it supports us in demonstrating alignment with CBPR/PRP requirements and maintaining a consistent approach to privacy obligations, which is important for both compliance and business reasons.

I like TrustArc for its customer support and professional tools. The customer engineers are always available to help implement better and smarter solutions. The tools are well developed for their use cases and easy to navigate. The initial setup was very easy with the TrustArc team support. I also appreciate the better price and more accessible support which prompted our switch to TrustArc.

The price can be prohibitive for smaller organizations.

What I like most about TrustArc is its centralized platform. The DPIA workflows are efficient, the AI assistance is helpful when I need quick privacy guidance, and Privacy Central keeps everything organized and easy to find.

What I dislike about TrustArc is that the BP Form can be buggy at times, but support is responsive and consistently resolves the issues quickly.

I like how TrustArc centralizes privacy and compliance activities into one platform, which means we have a single source of truth for all our data protection efforts. It organizes everything, like data mapping, assets, and compliance documentation, within one platform instead of scattered across multiple tools or spreadsheets. I also found the initial setup to be very easy, especially with the help from the team.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

I'm happy with everything, but it would be good to have a user dashboard to manage settings and also create tickets.
