"Secure encrypted sharing with reliable desktop sync and granular link controls"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tresorit?

We use end-to-end encrypted “Tresors” and password-protected sharing links every day to secure our private API keys, database dumps, and sensitive client configuration files. This has saved us at least 4–5 hours each week during third-party audits and internal security compliance checks.

The desktop sync client runs quietly and efficiently in the background and stays reliably synced across our Windows and Mac workstations without noticeable lag. The UI is intuitive and straightforward, so new engineers can start using it from day one without needing a lengthy onboarding process.

One unexpected workflow benefit has been the ability to apply granular controls to sensitive links shared with external contractors for example, setting expiration dates, limiting how many times a file can be opened, and disabling downloads. These controls help reduce the risk of our internal IP (intellectual property) being leaked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tresorit?

When I upload large, raw database backup files (over 15–20 GB) that require end-to-end encryption, the client-side CPU usage spikes significantly. It would be really helpful if the desktop app included a simple slider to control background resource throttling or bandwidth prioritization, so I can keep working smoothly on my system while those large backups are being processed.
