## About Trainual
Trainual is the training, learning, and knowledge management platform that connects your entire company to how work actually gets done. Every role. Every process. Every policy. All in one place — searchable, assignable, and built to keep every team member aligned and accountable from day one to one thousand. As companies grow more complex, consistency becomes harder to maintain. The way things get done varies by manager, standards slip across locations, and getting new teammates up to speed takes longer than it should. Trainual fixes that by giving your company one central system — where everything your team needs to know is documented, organized by role, and delivered to the right person at the right time. Trainual is the go-to platform for teams across various industries including business services, real estate, construction, healthcare, technology, marketing, legal and cleaning. Build role-based training paths that get every new teammate up to speed the same way, every time. Standardize how work gets done across departments, locations, and roles — then track it to make sure it's actually happening. And when something changes, update it once and it's live everywhere. The built-in AI assistant knows everything your company knows — so instead of pinging a manager or digging through a shared drive, your team gets instant, accurate answers the moment they need them. Think of it as your smartest teammate, always on, always right. Assign responsibilities. Track progress. Automate accountability. No micromanaging required. The result? Faster ramp times. Consistent execution. Higher-performing people.

## Trainual Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlined Training and Robust Support, Needs More Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda R. | Call center supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love how Trainual makes it easy to build training modules with text, video, and GIFs, and I can track completion effectively. The platform is simple and intuitive with its easy-to-use interface and great searchability. I also appreciate its reliable performance and responsive support. It allows employees to self-service, reducing the need to reach out to managers constantly. We can update the material once, and everyone has access to the materials all in one place, which is very convenient. The initial setup was very easy, and that was a big plus for us.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I think Trainual could be better with more customization and flexibility, particularly in formatting or editing options. I would like the ability to import PPT directly or have more expansive video upload options. Any non-linear workflows feel a bit boxed-in.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual to build training modules with text, video, and GIFs and track completion. It's easy, intuitive, and lets employees self-service without asking managers, with all materials in one place.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> No dislikes and GIFs keeping things fun, talk about music to our ears! Thanks for sharing.

 ### 2. Continuously Improving SOPs with Helpful Project Management Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vannesa Ann G. | HR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I like how it’s continuously improving, not only in the way our processes are stored through their learning system. They’re also incorporating project management tools that should help us improve how we work with employees on performance management and 1:1s.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Not really a dislike but I think two things to improve. I hope they can give us more options on how to make each SOPs creative by using more font styles and sizes not just limited to 5 templates. Also, I hope there is an option to make the whole SOP turned into a word or pdf-like summary or like easy generation when other employees needed a pdf format of the SOPs

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Trainual is giving solutions to it by these platforms where they are really connecting with the users and getting their opinions on how to improve their system. By doing this, they can ensure that the improvements they will be doing in the future are all based on the user's best experience. I can also see that they are not just collating ideas but they are also doing something to take action on those recommendations.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Really glad the platform evolution is landing well — there's a lot more coming. The PDF export and expanded formatting options are great callouts and we'll pass them along to our product team. Thanks for being part of the community!

 ### 3. Fast, Reliable, and Intuitive—Trainual Templates and AI Search Make Policy Building Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny S. | Co-Owner/Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

The product is easy to use in that creating a policies or process doesn’t take long and is somewhat intuitive. I like the templates in Trainual to get you started with ideas of how to lay out policies and procedures.
The only integrations we use are Google and Gusto. We don’t use SLACK so I don’t get the benefit of that integration.
Trainual’s speed and reliability are great.
I like that I can search for anything and AI will help me find it. I also like the AI summaries that can be produced. The outlines sometimes don’t quite fit for my line of work, but when it’s general they are great.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

It’s very overwhelming when you have a lot of subjects. If you don’t start your Trainual organization correct from the start with groups, it’s difficult to sort through all of the subjects.
I wish the test section was more robust in that I can give feedback when someone gets an answer incorrect or even when correct. Research show immediate feedback when answer test questions is more effective than answering test questions without feedback. We still use Google for this task.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like having all policies and processes in one place and that I can send out notifications when anything is updated. I like that it tracks who has completed subjects or how far along they are.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> The test feedback feature is a genuinely great idea! We'll pass this along to our product team to ensure they have eyes on it. Really glad the templates and AI search are making policy building faster. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 4. The training solution I've been needing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa G. | Practice Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I am new to Trainual and it is an absolute life saver. Training has always been an issue for our office even though we use training binders, videos, hands-on, typed outlines, it was always a struggle for training staff to stay on track and have material ready for training. Trainual has everything in one place. I can add all my training videos, PDFs, bullet point lists, procedures and processes all in ONE place and I'm able to track each staff members progress. I can't wait to finish it. It is very user friendly. I watched the training video but it's so user friendly I'm able to figure out how to build my training processes easily. It's going to streamline and make our lives so much easier, so we are able to put more energy into other projects.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

If you want to use Loom to record videos without a timelimit you have to pay for an account. But you could use YouTube video links if you don't want to pay, however, I like the Loom recording process better than YouTube.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having our training material all in ONE place and tracking staff training.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Welcome to Trainual — sounds like it's already clicking! Everything in one place, progress tracked, and energy freed up for what actually matters. The Loom feedback is a fair callout and we appreciate you sharing it. Can't wait for you to see it fully built out!

 ### 5. Trainual Keeps Training Organized and Makes Onboarding Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa G. | Practice Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

What I like most about Trainual is that it keeps all of our office processes, training materials, and SOPs in one well-organized place. It has made onboarding new employees much easier, and it helps ensure everyone is trained consistently. The progress tracking and quizzes also give us confidence that staff truly understand our workflows and expectations.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

The initial setup takes a lot of time, but once everything is built out, it's been well worth it for our team.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual solves the problem of inconsistent training and information being scattered across different places. It gives our team one central location for processes, policies, and training materials, which has made onboarding new employees much easier and more efficient. It also helps ensure everyone is following the same procedures and expectations, saving time and reducing repetitive questions. They have somewhere to reference at anytime.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> The setup investment paying off in consistent onboarding and fewer repeat questions — totally worth it. Thanks for sticking with it and for sharing!

 ### 6. Human Services Compliance and Training Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robyn C. | Compliance Managen, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love that you can use any contect to create your trainings - such as youtube, other videos and text - but it all looks the same. I also LOVE the quiz feature. We are requried to do these through our federal and state funding agreements

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I would love more ways to download and show info on the completion of training for certain users - we are in a very strict compliance field with DDS and are not able to show completion by subject in a clean way. More report filters and formats.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

trainual is solving our large employee training needs and the ability to break down by type of funder/participant as we have very different trianing requirements wand compliance dependent on state funding so for expample a dds patient requires differernt trianing that mass ability

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> So glad the quiz feature is checking your compliance boxes — we know how important that is in the dental field. Better reporting and export options for completion data is a great callout and something our team has been looking into recently. We'll be sure to get this feedback to the right people. Thanks so much for being part of the community!

 ### 7. Effortless Documentation and Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catalina M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I really like Trainual because it's easy to use for both documenting projects and training purposes. It's super easy to set up, and I didn't face any issues getting started. It’s valuable to me as it helps keep all processes and training materials organized in one place, making it easier to document procedures and ensuring the information is readily available whenever I need to review or update a process. When I have a question about a process that I don't perform very often, I can simply go to Trainual and review the step-by-step instructions to refresh my memory.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I would like to have the option to reorganize the steps of each process without having to open the process itself, and instead do it directly from the index.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual to document all processes and as a training manual. It helps me review instructions easily and keeps all training material organized for quick updates or review, making it invaluable for managing processes efficiently.

 ### 8. Versatile LMS with Multilingual Support and Easy Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melisa L. | Senior People Business Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I use Trainual as a Learning Management System for operations and compliance, and I love the ease of editing and managing from both a user and employee perspective. It's especially helpful for entry-level managers who are new to LMS software because it's easy to navigate. The multiple language feature is fantastic since our company has many non-English speakers. Being able to provide training content and modules in English, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese without manually translating is a miracle for our diverse team.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I find some of the editing components to be a bit outdated, especially when compared to Canva and similar tools. It would be great if embedding or inserting links could be more seamless, and having transitions for text boxes or slides would enhance the experience. Also, the initial setup was a bit clunky, and while we eventually got it to where we needed, it could definitely be improved. Another issue is that while we use Asana and Slack, they are not integrated with Trainual.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual as an LMS for operations and compliance, simplifying onboarding and capturing digital agreements, which ensures compliance learning. The multiple language feature is crucial, allowing us to deliver content to over 200 staff in their preferred language without manual translation.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Three locations, 180+ teammates, one place to manage it all — that's exactly what Trainual's built for. This is music to our ears and we are so happy to hear Trainual has helped you organize your processes and policies. Thanks for being part of the Trainual community!

 ### 9. User-Friendly, Flexible, and a Huge Time-Saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love how user-friendly it is, and how it gives you plenty of options to create exactly what you need. I regularly use the document and test features for employees. The "write with AI" option saves me a lot of time, and it corrects my mistakes while also giving me ideas when I need them.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I would love to have more text editing options, similar to what we find in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. For example, when creating a document, there’s no option to choose the font or adjust the font size. This really limits our choices when modifying the content. If it’s possible to add these options during document creation, that would be great.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Trainual, we used to write our policies and procedures in a Word document and then share that file with our employees. However, it became a nightmare whenever we had even a few changes to make or an update to apply, because we had to resend everything to everyone all over again. Trainual really changed the game for us: now everything is in one place and much more accessible for everyone. It’s also much easier when we need to make a quick change or update, and it saves us a lot of time. On top of that, it looks more aesthetic and polished.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> AI content creation saving time and catching mistakes is exactly what it's built for. Font and text editing options are a popular request and we'll make sure it gets to the product team. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 10. Trainual: A Game-Changer for Staff Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love how easy and simple it is to use Trainual, not only from an admin end to set it up but also in making it gamified and fun for the staff to use. It's easy to measure and monitor, and the staff love seeing their results and how they stack up against their peers. The initial setup was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, with the ability to drop files in, organize, upload, and edit in real time before publishing. Now, with all the updates Trainual has implemented, it has become far superior and much easier to use. Updating new processes and SOPs today is so much more simplified and quick.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

The only thing that doesn't work as well or could be improved on are the departments versus the roles versus how everybody is registered. That is a little confusing and can be very cumbersome. If it was simplified into just departments or broken down into just roles, that would be a lot easier than having so many different variations of the same training in different areas.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual helps us solve issues with staff training by ensuring our SOPs and processes are updated and reviewed with our staff.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Staff competing on leaderboards and actually enjoying training is a huge win in our book! The departments vs. roles structure feedback is a really helpful callout and something our Customer Experience team would be happy to help work through with you if you're interested. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 11. Trainual makes my life easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morris S. | CEO Sims Training and Consulting, LLC, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual allows me to create systems, and it is systems that make everything easier. The options within Trainual allow me to make it "my own" by creating groups and subjects and organizing the content.

One of the best parts is that our team "bought in" to using it and the users love it! Easy to find the information and training they are using it for. Someone on the team is in the system daily.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Once I had the system designed and populated there have been no real downsides. The work has to go in on the front end learning the system and some trial and error on setting it up the way you ultimately want it to work and your purpose for using it in the first place. That's true of any new system and Trainual isn't immune to it. The training videos do make the process easier as well as the direct support I received from the support group.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Repetitive questions are now answered with, "If you look at Trainual you'll find what you're looking for, and it has more detail than what I can give you here."

Onboarding no longer requires face to face training on company policy and systems. Here's one of best parts: I can require people to complete certain parts or they continue to be reminded that they haven't completed all the requirements. That's really important for Industry and Company compliance. I know who has completed which parts and who has not.

Training now includes some self directed training opportunities while other training is structured with a specific sequence required: you must complete A before you go to B. This is a great benefit to me because certain content must be learned in a sequence while other content can be completely self directed.

**Official Response from Ben Lofrumento:**

> Morris, this is music to our ears 🙌

Love that Trainual’s become your go-to for systems and that your team’s all-in on using it daily. Huge win that it’s taking repetitive questions off your plate and keeping compliance training on track. The mix of self-directed and structured learning sounds like it’s working perfectly for your world — exactly what we love to see.

Appreciate the shoutout to our training videos and support crew, too! 💜

 ### 12. Seamless Playbook Creation, Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica C. | Systems Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I really like Trainual for its organized structure, which makes it easy for everyone to access what they need. The interface is really nice and easy to navigate. I find the support incredible as I've never had any issues reaching out to the support team and getting quick answers. The community is great too, with the Trainual community being very active, helping me learn a lot.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

There's a little bit of a learning curve with training lately. They have lots of different ways to create content, so keeping it organized once there's a significant amount can be a challenge, as well as the upkeep afterwards with multiple users and different access levels. Also, the reporting could be improved; I'd like to see more data points coming out of it and for it to be more easily exportable.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Trainual keeps everything organized and accessible. It helps my clients build structured playbooks and integrates SOPs into one platform, making it easy for trainees.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Our support team and community will love to hear this — thank you so much! The reporting and organization feedback at scale are both great callouts we'll make sure get to the right people.

 ### 13. User-Friendly Training Modules That Transformed Our Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damon G. | US Operations Manager, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

User-friendly interface and content creation: It’s easy to build modules that combine text, images, videos, embedded links, and quizzes/tests in one place. The AI Assist feature (content generation and summarization) is especially helpful for getting past the blank-page problem when documenting processes. The hundreds of industry templates also speed up initial setup dramatically.

Onboarding transformation: We were able to cut our average onboarding time significantly, moving from weeks of shadowing and scattered docs to a more structured, self-paced experience. New team members can learn at their own pace, take quizzes to confirm understanding, and e-sign acknowledgments. Managers also get clear visibility into progress and completion rates.

Mobile app works well: The mobile app makes it easy for team members to complete trainings on the go, which is a big help for field or remote staff.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Not a full-featured enterprise LMS: It’s strong for SOPs and straightforward training, but it falls short on some advanced customization, deeper reporting, and more complex branching logic that larger organizations may require. The dashboard and analytics are acceptable overall, yet they can still feel a bit basic—or even confusing—at times.

Learning curve for admins: Even though the interface is mostly intuitive, configuring smart role-based learning paths, quizzes, and integrations takes more planning, testing, and iteration than I expected. Some users also mention occasional delays where content updates aren’t reflected right away.

Mobile app limitations: The app works well for completing assigned training, but creating content and handling admin tasks are still much better on a desktop.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a powerful tool that genuinely helps growing companies scale without everything living in someone’s head. The mix of role-based training paths, AI assistance, progress tracking, and flexible content creation makes it especially strong for onboarding and process documentation.

If your team is expanding and you’re tired of inconsistent training or knowledge silos, Trainual can deliver real ROI by speeding up ramp-up and reducing mistakes. That said, it’s best suited to businesses with 15–100+ employees that are willing to invest in building and maintaining documentation. Very small teams, or anyone looking for a lightweight or free option, may find it overkill or too expensive. It’s also not quite a full enterprise learning management system, and it isn’t the cheapest knowledge base tool either.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Cutting weeks of shadowing down to a structured, self-paced experience, that's a win if we've ever heard one. Really appreciate the detailed and balanced feedback here; the reporting and admin learning curve callouts are genuinely helpful and headed to our product team. Thanks for being part of the Trainual community!

 ### 14. Trainual Makes Training Engaging and Reliable, with Great Performance and Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie A. | Training and Certification Coordinator , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I like being able to make our process seem more alive with GiFs, emojis, and video links. As well as the ease of adding individuals to processes and trainings and sharing when needed. Performance is top notch and I don't have to worry about it freezing or being down. It works well with loom and youtube so we can upload company videos. I don't handle pricing but I will say that with what we are currently using per employee it is a good investment and makes it easy for managers to see what the team is and isn't completing or where drop off is. I have had great experience when asking for help and assistance with using Trainual to its full potential. I use the AI feature when cleaning up and coming up with my descriptions of each step or a process. That makes things a lot smoother and saves me time on minute things.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

The only downside is that you can't upload an video that you want without paying for the higher package. At our current size that isn't something that our company wants to do. I do appreciate the alternative of loom and youtube at least.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to not only disperse information quickly and efficiently but also to keep those items streamlined and easy to edit or update. As well as the dashboard for tracking, and the ability for managers to see their team. Its very helpful especially when we have issues with someone and they have done the training but it hasn't settled in.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> GIFs, emojis, and video links making processes feel alive — yes, that's exactly the training energy we're here for. So glad the AI features and manager visibility are saving you time and keeping your team accountable. Thank you so much for the thoughtful review!

 ### 15. Easy, Central Hub for Institutional Knowledge Across the Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francis U. | Personal Lines Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Having an easy to navigate place to collect years of institutional knowledge and be able to make it accessible to everyone in my orginazation.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

This could be from my lack of use with the platform, but having a better way to track new hire onboarding would really benefit my organization. If I could create a template of topics to train and it would link to content I've already created, it would help me keep training schedules on track.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization suffers from people asking similar questions frequently because we don't have all of the information in one place. In a short amount of time, we've seen the number of those questions decrease.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Fewer repeat questions in a short amount of time — talk about some quick ROI! The onboarding tracking feedback is a great callout, and learning path templates might actually solve exactly what you're describing — worth a chat with our support team if you haven't already!

 ### 16. Trainual Makes Onboarding Fast and Intuitive with Searchable, Trackable Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mari L. | HR Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual is extremely user-friendly and intuitive. New hires pick it up quickly, and experienced staff appreciate the clear layout and searchable content when they need quick refreshers. The ability to embed checklists, multimedia, and quizzes helps ensure that knowledge is retained, not just read, and managers can easily track completion and identify gaps.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Limited customization: branding, fonts, and layout options feel constrained for teams wanting a highly tailored look.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual helps centralize our company processes and training, which reduces confusion and makes onboarding much easier. It benefits us by keeping every department aligned, improving consistency, and giving employees a simple way to find the most current information.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Searchable, trackable, and intuitive from day one — really glad it's clicking for both new hires and seasoned staff. The branding customization callout is on our radar. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 17. Modern, Easy-to-Use Training Hub with an Excellent WYSIWYG Editor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex M. | Director of Application Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

We now have the option to centralize our training in a modern app that supports groups and subject categorization. The UI is easy to follow, and the WYSIWYG editor is excellent, which makes creating and organizing content much more straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

We wish there were a full public API so we could embed the documentation directly into our actual endpoints. It sounds like this is already in the works, so we’re excited to see it roll out.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to train our team on our proprietary software and tools. Every new hire gets access to Trainual and follows a pre-configured curriculum tailored to their role.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> We're so glad to hear you're loving the editor and organization! Stay tuned for some API updates in the near future, we might just have a few coming shortly. Thanks for being part of the community!

 ### 18. Trainual Saves Us Dozens of Hours with Easy Process Documentation and Video Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennine B. | Chief of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

In our small but mighty firm, we are too busy to repeat ourselves when teaching new skills to a new employee or refreshing an existing employee's skills. Trainual lets us document a process or policy once, and it lets me say, "But did you check Trainual before asking for help?" Now this is the way everyone thinks! I feel like we have added dozens of hours a week to our availability thanks to Trainual, and now we have more time to complete our deep work for clients. My favorite feature is that it allows me to add videos showing my actual clicks and talk through a process, then document it also. This helps the visual learners like me! The service is great too!

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Honestly, I have not found a true dislike. If I have an issue, I ask for help and I get it.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual has helped us create searchable, repeatable processes and procedures for my team to learn the processes and procedures they need without bothering their teammates or the owner of the firm the same questions over and over. They can follow step-by-step instructions and complete their projects. My favorite thing to ask the team is "Did you document it in Trainual?" for any new processes they didn't find in Trainual, so this has now become a habit for the entire team. Trainual has saved u hours a day and a lot of frustration with my team in general.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> "Did you check Trainual?" becoming second nature for the whole team — that's true adoption! This is so incredible to hear and we are so glad it's giving you those hours back. Thanks for the kind words!

 ### 19. Game Changer Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzanne T. | VP of Operations and Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love how easy it is to organize our processes. It is very user friendly and has great user facing look. I love the AI options. I update our information often so I appreciate how quickly I can do that and that a notification goes out to the users about the update. We were using DocSend prior to this and it was so hard to keep track of people's usage. I love the reporting Trainual gives. We will be using the HIPPA template training soon. Overall, very happy with this platform.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I wish each user had a unique generated link to our site. I often hear that the invitee didn't get the email. If I send them a link and it connects to our account, that would be awesome.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need one space that everyone in our company could access and they would have the most updated docs. We are a newish company so our policies and procedures can change weekly. By sending all of our audiences to Trainual is a HUGE help. Audiences = Client, Sales Team, Sale Managers, potential clients.

**Official Response from Ben Lofrumento:**

> Hey Suzanne,

Thanks for the awesome feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that Trainual is a "game changer" for you! It’s great that organizing processes and using our AI features is a breeze.

Switching from DocSend to Trainual must feel like a breath of fresh air! We totally get your desire for unique generated links for users; we appreciate the thoughtful feedback here and will pass it on to our team!

We’re so glad Trainual is keeping your docs updated in one spot, especially with all the changes happening.

Thanks again for sharing :)

 ### 20. Love this product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madi M. | Project Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual has been a really useful tool for me in my role. I still physically take notes anytime I learn a new process, but I’ve always been the person who types them up afterward in greater detail so I can rely on a more organized, legible version the next time I need to do that task. Trainual gives me one place to store all of those written versions and make them accessible to co-workers and other departments as needed.

Overall, it’s a very functional and genuinely helpful product. I also like being able to customize the formatting, and I enjoy the flow chart feature a lot for visualizing processes. On top of that, recording and embedding screen shares is something I use often, and it makes everything so much simpler.

I haven’t explored the AI features as much as I’d like yet, but I do love picking out cover photos and emojis to customize my modules. I’ve even told my boss I love working in Trainual because it’s basically my only creative outlet in my role—it almost feels like digital scrapbooking.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I don’t have any complaints overall. That said, I’d really like to see a walkthrough or a guided how-to for using the AI tools. I haven’t felt fully comfortable exploring them on my own yet, and some step-by-step guidance would help. To be fair, these may already exist, but I haven't made time to look for them yet.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me an answer to almost any question someone might ask about how to do something: “Have you reviewed the Trainual module?” That saves everyone time. I don’t have to teach someone from scratch if I’ve already compiled a step-by-step written process that explains exactly how to do something, and why it’s done that way.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> This review made our day, thank you! We love hearing how Trainual has become your go-to spot for organizing processes and sharing knowledge across the team. Digital scrapbooking? We’ll take that as the highest compliment! 📘✨

It’s awesome that you’re making the most of custom formatting, flowcharts, and screen share embeds—they really bring SOPs to life. And you're not alone on the AI tools—our support team is happy to help make them feel less intimidating and way more approachable. Don't hesitate to reach out to them for tips!

Thanks for being such a thoughtful (and creative!) part of the Trainual community.

 ### 21. Trainual: Effortless Onboarding and Communication Hub

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom G. | Operations Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I use Trainual as our company's main hub to find information, which is especially helpful for onboarding and HR policies. I love that it serves as a 'one stop shop', reducing frequent questions and saving time for both employees and managers. I also enjoy the ability to make content fun by adding GIFs, which makes reading about procedures more enjoyable. The AI feature to change writing styles is fantastic because it keeps our content fluid and coherent, particularly with so many collaborators. Additionally, setting it up was incredibly easy and intuitive; migrating our content required minimal training time. Trainual is user-friendly, reliable, and hardly ever goes down, which makes it an excellent tool for our team.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I have no negative on feedback for Trainual at this time.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual as a one-stop shop for company information, saving time and alleviating repetitive questions. It centralizes our onboarding, HR policies, and wiki, making content access easy for managers and employees.

**Official Response from Ben Lofrumento:**

> Hey Tom — “damn near perfect” might be our new favorite compliment. 🙌

We’re pumped to hear that the switch from your old wiki setup is going smoothly — and that things like AI search, videos, and yes, even GIFs (the unsung heroes of training 😄) are making the experience better for your team.

Major shoutout for calling out the content check-in reminders too. We built that to save folks from the whole “wait… when did we last update this?” moment — so it’s great to hear it’s doing its job!

Thanks for the kind words — and welcome again to the Trainual crew. We’re glad you’re here!

 ### 22. All-in-One Hub for Company Info and Team Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

We like that it can serve as an all-in-one resource for our team. We have all of our company information and insights hosted in one place, accessible as needed.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

It's not always the most accessible from an admin perspective. It would be helpful to have more abilities as an admin like marking specific steps as complete rather than the whole subject.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps alleviate a lot of admin work when new employees are onboarding and training. We don't have to share documents, worry about who they should send it to, etc. It is all spelt out in Trainual. An employee can begin training day 1 of their job with no staff intervention. It is nice to know if we drop the ball or don't have the time, they still have Trainual to guide them for the time being.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Day one training with zero staff intervention — that's a real win. The granular admin controls are something we have! Our support team is happy to help walk you through options and how best to utilize them if you'd like. Thanks for sharing your feedback!

 ### 23. User-Friendly Modules and Helpful AI Tests, but Procedure Formatting Needs Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

It allows users to create modules (or volumes) that contain processes and how-tos in a fairly user-friendly way. I also like the AI feature to help create knowledge tests, which is a big time saver.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

The formatting of outlined sections within a procedure or how-to is not user-friendly. Even though I create the content in Word and format with A / 1 / a / i type of structure with paragraphs indented and spacing adjusted properly, when I copy/paste into Trainual, added spacing in between lines occur, the paragraph indentations are lost, and it does not as good as it does in Word. The formatting options within Trainual are not robust either.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest one is utilizing AI to help create knowledge tests because that is a big time saver.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> We're so glad the AI test builder is saving you time — that's a big one. The formatting and copy-paste experience is something we are continuously working on improving and we're passing this along to the product team. Thanks for the detailed feedback!

 ### 24. Trainual Makes Creating and Improving Staff Training Content Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth F. | Risk and Compliance Manager CAMLO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual makes it easy to create training content for our staff. The features included also allow me to follow up and gain insight into how people are engaging with the material. The feedback tool has been great as well, because it provides a real-time opportunity to refine and improve our content.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

It would be great if I could import PowerPoint files directly, and also download them in different formats. At times, the editing functions feel a bit limited. It would also help to be able to change the background across every page, since I’m trying to make the content as user-friendly as possible.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual provides an online solution for full training for our staff and board of governors. We also launched risk assessment programmes using the tool, and it has created a very agile workflow for everyone.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> So glad the feedback tool and engagement tracking are adding real value — that's exactly what they're there for. The PowerPoint and formatting callouts are helpful, and we'll make sure they get to the right people. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 25. Clean, Easy-to-Use Training Hub with Videos and Tips at Your Fingertips

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billie H. | Approximately 400 employees, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual has become a favorite source of information! I love that all of the videos and tips are so easy to find in a pinch. The system is very clean and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I can not really think of any downsides to Trainual... I have had a wonderful experience thus far.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual has solved the staff from having to sift through a binder or emails to find the "training" document or video for answers. One stop hunting!

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Your favorite source of information?! What a win! Thanks so much for the feedback and being part of the Trainual community.

 ### 26. Trainual Turns Scattered Know‑How Into Clean, Organized Training Modules

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashelley W. | Training Coordinator/Health & Wellness Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual excels at taking scattered processes, institutional memory, and “this is how we do it” know‑how and turning it into clean, organized modules. For agencies like DOB, where workflows span multiple systems and teams, that structure is gold.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Trainual shines with linear processes, but when you’re dealing with multi‑path workflows — like CRM scenarios, permitting exceptions, or role‑specific variations — it can feel a bit boxed in.
You sometimes have to get creative to represent real‑world nuance.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual is essentially solving the operational chaos that happens when knowledge lives in people’s heads, processes vary by team, and training depends on whoever happens to be available. For someone in your role — orchestrating enterprise‑wide training, technical rollouts, and consistent adoption — the benefits are especially tangible.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> This is such a great way to put it — thank you. We love hearing how Trainual’s helping turn institutional knowledge into something clear and usable across teams. And you’re right: real-world workflows aren’t always linear, so we appreciate you sharing how you’ve had to get creative to capture that nuance. Feedback like this is incredibly valuable, we're so grateful you took the time to let us know!

 ### 27. Trainual Makes SOP Training Easy with Smart Assignments, Quizzes, and AI Content Creation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I like that trainual is purpose made for training and SOPs. The user assignment system is perfect for what we need. Simply make the content and and place in the proper category to auto assign training to any staff group. The automatic quizzes are nice and the AI features have made writing content a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I wish the folder system for content was a little more granular. I understand assigning it to a group but I would rather prefer a simple folder hierarchy system where I can make a folder structure to suit our needs for different types of content.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves us time by having to organize an SOP or training system manually.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Folder hierarchy is a popular request and a good one — we'll make sure it gets to the product team. Glad the auto-assignment and AI content creation are making your life easier!

 ### 28. Empowering Staff to Work Smarter

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clara I. | Training Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

It's searchability, flexibility, and how interconnected it is. I can update one piece of it and know any linked/connected content is also updated. No more "missing spots". My team likes that they can actually find the answers they are looking for. The support from Trainual staff has been incredible as well.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

It can be a bit glitchy and slow to load sometimes. I also still struggle with how to set up learning pathways and ensure user settings and access is correct.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual is reducing the number of repeat questions and answers that traditionally clog up email inboxes. It empowers our staff to find the answer themselves, which in turn keeps their workflow going and serves our customers better.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Thank you for the honest feedback — this is really helpful. Glad the searchability and connected content are landing well for your team. For the learning pathways and user settings, our support team would love to help get that sorted — don't hesitate to reach out.

 ### 29. Trainual Makes Success Scalable—and Employees Stay Engaged

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brenda T. | Human Resources Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual helps new hires be successful right off the bat, improve time to productivity, and boost engagement. This impacts overall team success. The shared documentation is easy to access, and there’s so much flexibility with the ability to embed files, videos, hyperlinks, and more. It’s also very easy to share changes and updates as things evolve. Without Trainual, my team and I would not be as successful in our work. The UI is great—simple to use and genuinely effective.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

There isn't much I dislike. It's a great product!

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to document and retain knowledge so that, if there is turnover, the knowledge and information don’t leave with one person. This helps reduce gaps in the work and keeps things moving smoothly. Additionally, it supports everyone on my team in being successful. Setting someone up for success is a win for everyone: the individual, the team, and the business. Engagement is key, and this is a critical tool for employee satisfaction.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Thank you for such an incredible review! We love hearing how Trainual is helping your team ramp faster, stay engaged, and keep knowledge from walking out the door when turnover happens. That “win for everyone” mindset is exactly what Trainual is built for, and it means a lot to hear it’s making a real impact for your team.

 ### 30. Trainual Makes Role-Based New Hire Training Easy with Training Pathways

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa L. | Administrative Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I’ve found that the most beneficial feature in Trainual and the part I love most is the ability to streamline new-hire training by role using training pathways.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I have found to real dislikes while using Trainual for my current needs.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to eliminate duplication of SOPs and shared documents, providing a much more comprehensive and cohesive approach to a system for training documentation and standard practices and forms.

 ### 31. Convenient Curriculum Management and Easy Edits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I like the convenience of being able to load our curriculum quickly and make easy edits. This feature helps to organize and creates an ease of use for our organization, allowing us to work on other things instead of spending all of our time in the program. The initial setup also felt easy, as our team was able to work together to get all of our curriculum uploaded smoothly. Overall, I'm very likely to recommend Trainual, and I love it.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I think just from a training standpoint for our staff, just make sure our staff understands the program. So better utilizing the videos that are with the program would help us.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual keeps all our training and curriculum in one space, allows us to test apprentices, and makes it convenient to load and edit curriculum quickly, which saves time and lets us focus on other tasks.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> So glad the upload and editing experience has been smooth for your whole team. Great callout on leaning into the training videos — Trainual U is a great resource if you haven't explored it yet! Thanks for the love and for being part of the community!

 ### 32. User-Friendly Training Tool with Excellent Visuals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xana L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love how user-friendly Trainual is and I really love the flow feature. The flowchart is great for visual learners and for processes with multiple outcomes, which makes it better than just a bunch of text. It's just so user-friendly, unlike a different company's flowchart program I used before.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I think the search isn't always the best. Sometimes I know the exact keyword because I make all the trainings. So sometimes I know the exact word that's written down, and it just still doesn't pick it up.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual to make trainings for my support agents, consolidating all information in one place, making it easy to reference.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Thanks so much for the thoughtful review! We’re glad Trainual’s flowcharts, visuals, and completion tracking have been a strong fit for your team. We really appreciate you calling out your experience with search and AI, too. If you’re open to sharing more, our support team would love to learn from you and pass that context along to our product team.

 ### 33. Revolutionized Our Staff Training and Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessi C. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love being able to create individual pathways on Trainual. It really helps cater to what each staff member needs, which is great for our unique business set-up as a swim school. I can tailor individuality to each position and team member, ensuring major trainings include specifics from each role so everyone has the knowledge they need. The general layout of all the pathways is something I love, even though I would like more design options. The initial setup was fantastic. Our implementer was amazing and made the process seamless with weekly meetings, assigning specific tasks, and helping upload years' worth of documents into one program. She was thorough in answering all my questions and was always available throughout the week. As an operations manager on the verge of a major company transition phase, Trainual makes documenting and training on all our core processes super important, ensuring that we can continue to provide the same reputable service in new locations.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I would like some more design options. I love the general layout of all the pathways, but I would like to be able to upload our brand design, vision, voice, and message. I would like to upload our logos (not just as a header) but our company colors to the backgrounds, upload our brand voice to the AI features.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual provides a sustainable system for housing processes and procedures, ensuring consistency and company alignment. It allows me to create tailored pathways for staff needs, incorporating specifics from each training for comprehensive knowledge across roles, while maintaining consistent branding.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> We are so glad your implementer made the process feel seamless, and got you up and running! We hear you on branding customization feedback, and we're making sure this is headed to the right people. Thanks for the thoughtful review!

 ### 34. Effortless Onboarding with Seamless Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee D. | Partner, Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I like that Trainual is really user-friendly for all people in all generations. It has a great way of updating people on when they need to do different trainings. It's very automated, and it's got a great user interface. I also appreciate that it saves us a ton of time and ensures everyone has equal training on things like software and overviews of our company and how we work. I find the knowledge checks at the end helpful because they ensure our team actually absorbs the information and can use it. It's easy to set up too, which is a plus.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Easier video editing would be great. It would be helpful to give some ideas for people who aren't as comfortable with recording video on how they can have some best practices.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual saves us a ton of time by eliminating the need to onboard everyone individually, ensuring equal training on software, company overviews, and work processes.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Equal training for every teammate, every time — that's exactly what we're here for. The video editing and best practices feedback is a great idea and we'll pass it along. Thank you for the kind words!

 ### 35. Streamlined Training, Slight Navigational Challenges

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serene C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I really find Trainual easy to use, and I love having all my training documents and modules in one place. It's great being able to embed links and create modules with training-specific topics. These features provide solid support for the trainees and make it easier for me as the trainer to guide them through a clear training path. Also, setting it up was super easy!

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I think it's a bit slow at times and maybe too clicky like you have to click around a lot to find where you need to be. I think when trying to find a page or document I can get lost in all of the buttons or functions, creating more clear guidance may help to ease that. As for slowness, it may be because we have so many documents uploaded but at times it takes a few minutes to get to a new page or locate a section due to speed.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual helps by having all documents and training in one place, making it easy to use. I like embedding links and creating modules for clear training paths, which support trainees and help me guide them better.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> One place for everything your trainees need — that's the foundation. The navigation and speed feedback is really useful and we're passing it along. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 36. Trainual Makes Training Easy with Organized, Role-Based Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual is organized and easy to navigate. It is ideal for a company with members at different levels whose training needs are different. Access can be granted based on job duties.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

There is no real downside to the application and user interface. I do wish the initial level would apply to more than 50 employees. We try to keep up with archiving someone that is no longer with the organization but having 75 at the initial level would be helpful.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual creates a centralized location for all company policies, procedures and educational items. It also ensures that everyone has access to the same materials and provides employee accountability.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Role-based access ensuring everyone gets exactly what they need — now that's exactly how easy training should be. The seat limit feedback is noted and appreciated. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 37. Scalable, User-Friendly Onboarding with Real-Time Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

The key features we rely on include step-by-step process documentation, embedded multimedia such as videos, quizzes, and images, and the ability to assign content to specific roles or teams. The built-in tracking and completion reporting is especially valuable because it lets us monitor progress in real time and quickly spot any gaps in compliance or capability.

An unexpected benefit has been the consistency it brings to supporting the onboarding new employees. New employees receive a standardised experience regardless of their location or manager.

Trainual has strengthened our ability to deliver scalable, consistent, and trackable learning across our company.

Our employees are very happy with the user friendliness of this system, especially the AI Support Assistant and how much information is at their fingertips and the speed at which they can retrieve information when they need it, which saves time and money.

Our Trainual Administrators like the AI support they can use when creating content descriptors and for ideas when developing content, as well as the suggested templates available.

Our company completed a review of Trainual in comparison with other products approximately 10 months ago and Trainual has remained as our preferred platform due to its competitive pricing and administration capabilities.

We are very happy with the level of support we have at our fingertips with Trainual. We have never had a problem of no one getting back to us if we have a query or need more information or technical issues to resolve. The service we have received has been excellent.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

The reporting features are relatively basic and do not provide the level of detail required for comprehensive training analysis. In particular, generating meaningful training summary reports for employees who have left the organisation is challenging. Once a user is archived, their training data is not easily accessible for reporting purposes. To extract a report, we are required to reactivate the user, which is inefficient and creates unnecessary administrative effort.

Even after reactivating users, the available reports lack depth and do not provide a consolidated or detailed view of completed training, progress, or historical learning activity. This makes it difficult to meet internal reporting requirements and limits our ability to maintain accurate training records for audit or compliance purposes.

Enhancing the reporting capability—particularly the ability to generate comprehensive, exportable reports for archived users—would significantly improve the platform’s overall effectiveness and reduce manual workarounds.

Another feature that could be improved are the Trainual Template Paths. We tried to use these to separate what we wanted our new starters to focus on from week to week by using the split functionality, but this is to rigid for our requirements as it stops the employee from being able to open any other content outside of the fixed section they first commence. we would rather this was a 'guide' and if the person wants to skip to other content outside of the split section they are currently working through, they should be able to do this.

Adding Tables into content can be a bit of a challenge. Sometimes it is difficult to format these properly.

We have had problems when developing content that we can lose it if we have accidentally got 2 Trainual windows open at the same time and have made edits in both windows (we use multiple screens so this does happen sometimes). Would be great if Trainual saved these edits regardless how many windows we're working from, or provided a warning that it is already open in another window.

Trainual us unable to provide us with Google Sheets reports, only excel, so when we receive these reports via email, we then have to convert them to Google sheets before we can analyse the data. Would be great if this happened automatically.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual is helping us to addresses inefficiencies in onboarding and training delivery. Without a structured system, onboarding relied heavily on managers and ad hoc training, which was time-consuming and inconsistent. Trainual enables structured, role-based onboarding pathways that reduce the time required from managers and allow new employees to become productive more quickly.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Really glad Trainual has become the go-to across your team — from admins building content to new hires finding answers fast. Consistent onboarding regardless of location or manager is exactly what it's built for. The reporting feedback, especially around archived users, is detailed and incredibly useful. We're passing it straight to our product team now. Thanks for being part of the Trainual community!

 ### 38. A Great Training Tool with Great LMS Integration!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon F. | Training Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual is a great training tool. One of the biggest upsides of Trainual is that my company has set it up to communicate with our Learning Management system.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Some of the content creation steps were confusing at first, but as I get more familiar with the software, it is getting easier.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Training information to staff and very beneficial for getting policy information to our New Hires.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! We are so glad to hear Trainual has been working well for you and your company.

 ### 39. Effortless Process Documentation with Trainual

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie Y. | Strategic Growth Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I use Trainual to keep up with company processes and I appreciate how it helps with documenting and creating a better workflow. It's beneficial for detailing processes with screenshots and steps. I find the UI easy to use and appreciate the good amount of customization it offers. Adding personality with GIFs and emojis makes dry content more interesting by breaking it into smaller chunks and adding some flair. It's the easiest training software I've used in my career, making it a 10 out of 10 for recommending to others.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I wish we could use our company branding to make it look more custom to OUR needs. Our company has a branding guide I'd like to be able to upload so that the Trainual fonts, colors, etc. align with our company's guidelines.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual for documenting processes, ensuring business continuity, and keeping workflows moving even when teammates are off. It breaks complex tasks into smaller, engaging parts with GIFs and emojis.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> This is music to our ears, thank you so much for sharing! So glad the customization options are making the content more engaging for your team. The branding feedback is a great callout and something we'll definitely pass along to our product team.

 ### 40. Streamlined SOP Management with Trainual

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I like using Trainual for making sure all employees are up to speed and have verified their understanding of any new process or change. It's great because it gives our managers reminders, ensuring that procedures don't become stale. By setting a renewal date for processes, it forces us to revisit and make necessary adjustments. This really helps reinforce consistency within the company, regardless of who is handling the task. The content area is used the most, and I like that we can create groups not only by department but also based on required awareness. The reports function helps us understand our people's engagement, which is very beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

There's a bit of a learning curve because Trainual is a much deeper product with more depth and breadth. It's just different from what we were used to with IT Glue.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual to ensure all employees are up to speed and familiarized with new processes or changes. It reminds managers to review procedures regularly, reinforcing consistency and helping the company scale.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> We are thrilled to hear the renewal dates and reporting is keeping your team consistently aligned. Totally fair on the learning curve, if you ever want some tips and tricks our support team is happy to help! Thanks for being part of the Trainual community.

 ### 41. Ideal Tool for Training and Content Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I really appreciate the quizzes feature in Trainual. They're not only fun and cool to create, but also offer various answering mechanisms like multiple choice, complete the sentence, and selected choices, which I think are pretty cool. I love how the system requires you to pass the quiz before it's marked as completed, which ensures thorough understanding. The chart showing percentages completed and the leaderboard feature is another aspect I enjoy, as it allows me to see how I compare with other employees. It's a great way to track progress. Furthermore, Trainual's organization is something I like; it's very neat and allows separation into training material and learning content, which makes navigation easier.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I believe something that could be improved is when you're creating content and you have the type-in box, where you select the font size, the font color, if you're using bullets or indents, it could be upgraded to be more like Microsoft Word. Yeah, it would be nice to have more features in those tools and be more user-friendly. I need that thing to be as fast as I am.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual helps create a database for new hires, storing and organizing company systems. It solves data storing, cataloging, tracking, and teaching content management, allowing new hires to learn efficiently with interactive quizzes and exams.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Thank you for this — the detail here is so helpful! Really glad the quizzes and leaderboard are making training feel engaging. The feedback on the content editor is heard and we will be sure to get this to our product team. We appreciate your thoughtful review!

 ### 42. Engaging Onboarding and Training Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacey H. | Partner / Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I use Trainual for onboarding all new hires and as a portal for all company policies, shared documents, SOPs, marketing, and sales documentation. It's now very easy to find all shared company info, and it makes the info engaging and fun. I like the ability to take a wall of words and format it so it's not boring; it's fun and engaging. Employees enjoy participating and absorb the info better. The ability to embed videos such as Loom videos is great and helpful, letting us make shorter, relevant videos and demos that are embedded into our trainings and SOPs. This way, employees can relate better and learn faster. I found the initial setup super easy and actually enjoyed the implementation and training.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Possibly the integration into other tools, specifically maybe other EOS related tools.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual makes it easy to find company info like policies and SOPs, and it turns training into an engaging experience. Employees absorb info better with shorter videos and demos, making learning faster and more relatable.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> This is such a joy to read! We love hearing that Trainual’s helping turn SOPs into something engaging and actually enjoyable to learn. So glad setup was smooth and that our team could support you along the way — and we’ll happily take the “nothing we don’t like”. Thank you so much! 😊

 ### 43. Build Your Company's Playbook with Trainual

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I love the interface and how intuitive it is to edit and create content. It is connected to our HRIS so user information is always current. The AI search is excellent, searching our large database of policies and procedures with ease. Implementation was a breeze, with Chris and Fatima by my side we were up and running in 4 weeks. Plus, with Trainual U, there's no excuse NOT to be an expert. We're already saving a lot of time by using Trainual as our company's playbook.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I have not had great luck with the AI writing tools, there seems to be a very long processing time and I'd rather use a different LLM to achieve my writing goals at this time. There have been occasional network issues, and several bugs I have reported with no updates yet. Looking forward to future releases.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual was first and foremost a way to fix our training. Our secondary goal with it was to reduce onboarding times/increase efficiency. The software is perfectly aligned with our budget as a small organization.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> So glad you're seeing value so quickly and that Chris and Fatima made the launch smooth. We appreciate the feedback on the AI writing tools and will be sure to get this to our product team. Thank you for the thoughtful review!

 ### 44. Creative and Comprehensive, But Navigation Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becky W. | Learning and Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I like that Trainual allows for creativity with the use of graphics, PDFs, videos, screen shares, and different fonts and GIFs. I appreciate the format where it's divided into people, company, team resources, and processes. It also offers a way to not just have words on a screen but something to move people through and kind of entertain them as they go along.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Just the overall finding of information in Trainual really makes people not want to use it. It's hard for me. I've created it, and I still can't find where things are. Sometimes as you're creating, it's not simple to create and find what you've created. The other hard thing about Trainual is the updating portion. There needs to be a better AI feature to help you create the content.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual keeps all our processes in one place, provides a foundation for training individuals, and offers how-to videos for all our platforms.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Thank you for such a thoughtful and honest review, it’s clear you’ve spent a lot of time building in Trainual! We’re really glad the flexibility around PDFs, links, visuals, and updates has been a strong fit for your team.

We really appreciate the feedback on searchability and organization, especially as content grows over time. If you’re open to it, our CX team would love to connect and help you work through structure, navigation, and ways to surface content so things feel easier day to day. We’re also sharing this feedback with our product team — the ideas you shared around visibility and updates are especially helpful. Thanks again for sticking with us and taking the time to share what would make Trainual work even better for you.

 ### 45. Central Knowledge Hub with a Time-Saving AI SOP Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aliyah H. | Contact Center Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I use one system as a central knowledge hub to organize information across departments. The AI feature for building SOPs is also great, because it saves time and makes it easier to manage everything.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Being limited in uploads. Some of our files have 5+ pdf's. It would be great to upload and then organize vs organizing as we upload. Will there be a bulk upload option in the future?

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual is solving the need for leadership proximity and reducing tribal knowledge.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> One central hub for everything across departments — that is music to our ears. The bulk upload feedback is a great callout and we've already sent it to our product team. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 46. Intuitive Learning Management System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josiah D. | Learning and Development Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Trainual has implemented several tools and data components that have streamlined employee onboarding and tracking. First off, Training Paths have simplified content assignment. With a custom template, I know each employee is getting access to the correct content, in the order it was designed for. Secondly, Trainual has updated the ability to review content completion and resetting previous completions as needed.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Sometimes there are updates that I wasn't aware of, requiring me to figure out its implementation on my own. Trainual University is a helpful too, but it seems like some updates slip through the cracks on guiding users on how to best use them.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual has allowed us to streamline training and relaying information companywide. This opportunity has connected the company despite being in multiple locations. It has allowed for consistent communication and equitable access to materials and information.

**Official Response from Mallory Glessner:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback, Josiah! So glad to hear that you've enjoyed your time using Trainual and working with our team. We hear you on feature updates and are actively working on new ways to make this process smoother and easier for all. Here if you need anything - we appreciate you so much!

 ### 47. Great UX, Smooth Payroll Integration, and Helpful Human Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billy G. | Owner/Manager/Veterinarian, Veterinary, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

Great UX for both creators and users compared to other documentation platforms I've tried. It integrates with our payroll system, making user provisioning quick and easy for me. The support team is great, and its nice to chat with real humans when I need it. AI features make it easy for users to find the answers they're looking for.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I'd love to see user-defined templates to help us standardize our content formats. I can already set defaults for font, color, etc, let's just take it a step further.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consistency is crucial in our business, and Trainual helps build consistency into training and execution.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> The "real humans" comment about our support team genuinely made us smile, this call out means everything to the team. Glad the payroll integration and AI search are making life easier — and the user-defined templates idea is a great one. Passing it along!

 ### 48. Efficient Training with Some Flexibility Challenges

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonam C. | Head of Finance and Governance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I really appreciate how Trainual saves time by reducing the need for in-person training. Staff can self-train using clear information on systems and processes, ensuring consistency and saving time on onboarding and new processes. I value Trainual's structured playbooks, step-by-step process documentation, and onboarding paths the most. They make it easy for staff to self-train, ensure consistency, and reduce the need for in-person training. Additionally, the initial setup was straightforward and easy to follow. Although it took some time to upload and document processes, the platform itself was intuitive and simple to implement.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

Updating and editing content can feel time-consuming at times, and the platform can be a bit rigid when processes change frequently. More flexibility and faster editing would improve the experience.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual saves time by reducing the need for in-person training with clear, structured information and playbooks, enabling staff to self-train. This ensures consistency and simplifies onboarding and process updates.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Love hearing this — thank you! It’s awesome to know Trainual’s helping you keep everything in one place and making onboarding a breeze. Totally hear you on the editing side — quicker, smoother updates are something we’re actively improving. Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience!

 ### 49. Streamlined Onboarding with Custom Learning Paths

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I appreciate the ability to build custom learning path templates in Trainual, making managing new hire training much easier for me. The course builder is easy to use and efficient, allowing me to quickly make a course and set up a templated learning path that I can easily assign to new hires. This is really valuable because I'm very busy managing new hire training. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, and the support was helpful.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

I find the organization aspect lacking. I would love to be able to make folders to better organize content instead of organizing it by user group.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Trainual for easy access to sales onboarding materials. It provides clear learning paths for new hires and customizable learning journeys. The course builder is easy and efficient, allowing me to quickly set up templated learning paths.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> Really glad the course builder and learning path templates are saving you time — we know how much is on your plate managing new hire training. Folder-based organization is a great callout and we'll make sure it gets to our product team. Thanks for being part of the Trainual community!

 ### 50. Revolutionized Our Onboarding Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley L. | Office Clerk, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Trainual?**

I use Trainual to help train our team and assist in onboarding. It's helped us avoid constantly repeating ourselves, as any question a new hire has is already answered through Trainual. I like how easy it is to use and how customizable it is, allowing us to match our company needs and eliminate the repetition of information. The initial setup was super simple, and I even started it without having to watch the tutorial videos.

**What do you dislike about Trainual?**

The only issue I have ever had is with uploading videos. I wish I could just drag and drop videos into the document, but instead I usually post it on YouTube and add in the link. I wish that I could integrate ServiceTitan and ServiceChannel.

**What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainual helps reduce repetitive explanations by answering new hire questions and matches our company needs with easy customization.

**Official Response from Rachel Astori:**

> This is music to our ears! We appreciate the feedback on video upload and will be sure to pass this to our product team. Thank you for the thoughtful words.
