I love how simple and fast Traefik Proxy is: open source, secure, and easy to configure. You can get the hang of it very quickly, even as a beginner. The documentation and configuration files make sense even to me, a marketer!

The dashboard loads instantly, and new containers are picked up very quickly. Configuration is incredibly flexible: you can customize pretty much anything. Being able to configure middleware individually for each service is especially great.

The large marketplace of free plugins helps adapt Traefik to all kinds of tasks. I use CrowdSec Bouncer to protect against malicious traffic, Sablier to start containers only when an incoming request needs them, and another plugin to block AI bots. Together with Cloudflare, I also get additional traffic filtering and access controls.

My setup runs around a hundred containers, including a mail server, and Traefik has handled everything without any problems.

I also appreciate that the developers warn users ahead of significant configuration changes. Bug fixes and updates arrive regularly, and you can see that the team puts real effort into the project.

Setting everything up and troubleshooting it yourself can take a day or two. With AI helping, you can get it done in 30 minutes or less.
