What do you like best about Totara Learn?

What we like best about Totara Learn is its balance of depth and usability. It is intuitive enough for learners to use regularly with minimal training, while offering the range of features we need to support structured programmes, assignments, and resources over time.

From an implementation perspective, Totara Learn was straightforward to adopt and scale, allowing us to integrate it into our existing learning processes without disruption. The platform integrates well with other systems, which helps it sit comfortably within our wider organisational setup.

We also value the reliability of the system and the quality of support available when needed. Because Totara Learn is easy to navigate and dependable, it has become a platform we use frequently rather than occasionally — a central hub for learning rather than an administrative add-on. What do you dislike about Totara Learn?

While Totara Learn is powerful and flexible, that depth can sometimes come at the cost of simplicity. Certain administrative tasks and configurations are not always intuitive, particularly for new users, and can require training or experience to use efficiently.

Some areas of the user interface feel more functional than polished, and small changes or enhancements can take longer to implement than in more lightweight platforms. As a result, there is occasionally a steeper learning curve for administrators compared with learners.

What problems is Totara Learn solving and how is that benefiting you?

Totara Learn solves the problem of managing complex, ongoing learning in a single, coherent system. It allows us to centralise course content, handouts, assignments, and learner progress rather than relying on a patchwork of tools or manual processes.

This has significantly reduced administrative overhead and improved consistency across our programmes. Learners benefit from having one reliable place to access materials, submit work, and track their progress, while staff benefit from clearer oversight and reporting.
