**What do you like best about Timely?**

I especially like the fact that I can record my activities and confirm them when I have the time to do so, rather than being forced to do it while performing individual tasks or at the end of each task. I can also make these recordings cumulatively after a long time. Additionally, I can review my recordings and possibly modify them. Timely allows me to deduce some activities, such as offline ones or phone calls, which interrupt the flow but I can still see them thanks to the gaps in the log, and I can mark them manually.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

I didn't have a very good experience with the AI-based automatic recognition system because it makes aggregations that I don't recognize, perhaps because I haven't classified the tasks very well and therefore I'm not helping the system in this regard.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Timely to track activities without having to remember to log them every time. I can confirm them when I have time, review and modify them. It also helps me deduce offline activities, saving me time and preventing errors.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I really appreciate the automatic time tracking in Timely that helps with my project and volunteer activities. The ease of transferring project time to QuickBooks for billing is a huge plus. I love how Timely's AI can automatically sort and categorize my work, which saves me hours each month. The Memory tool is fantastic because it tracks everything and allows me to review what's recorded without worrying about forgetting anything. It's also great that I can export my timesheet in a way that smoothly transfers to QuickBooks. Overall, the AI categorization and task description capabilities are major improvements over my previous experience with TimeCamp.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

I would like to change the task description that AI generates and have the AI learn from it. Sometimes, the AI can't quite determine what I am working on. An integration where timesheets automatically connect to the Time Tracking in QuickBooks would be immensely helpful as the current QuickBooks integration only works with invoicing but I have other line items in QuickBooks to add to invoices so I can't invoice through Timely.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Timely for automatic time tracking, transferring project time to QuickBooks. Its AI sorts and categorizes my tasks, saving hours each month. The Memory tool improves efficiency by tracking work without needing manual input, ensuring nothing is missed. Initial setup was fairly easy.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

Two things: First their people, from technical support to customer service, were responsive, friendly, inquisitive and helped with both the tools and their effective utilization. Second is the memory.ai engine. It works. After a short period of clarifying what events were important - and which weren't important, memory picks up the important things and makes reviewing and recording time very efficient.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

I have some concern that they are early-stage and at some point a very smart big company will acquire them and ruin the great service and product that they have created - and are creating.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First, I track my time more consistently because it's more efficient to do so. Given efficient and consistent recording of time and accuracy of the classification of how I use my time, I can now invest in analyzing how I use my time. I have seen some areas where I waste time, how much of my work is non-billable, when I choose a fun activity versus a useful activity, etc. Since I am analyzing my time, I am improving my efficiency and effectiveness.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I like that I don't have to think about Timely much. It's been working in the background, which is really helpful for logging my time accurately. Plus, if I'm ever audited, I can prove what I've been working on or where I was. This feature makes it easier for me to raise invoices for the time I spent working on things. Overall, it has been sitting on my browser and working seamlessly without needing much attention.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

I really find it difficult to understand how you organize things. I'm a clinician pivoting into consulting work, and I've not really known how to build for time in that way. And so I find it difficult to navigate projects versus tasks and just how to bill. It was difficult because I didn't understand what a project was and what a task was. And as a sole trader, I found it tricky to use. Also found it a little bit difficult to share with my executive assistant who was virtual at the time.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Timely to track my activities, generate invoices, and audit time to see where I lose it. It's been great for logging my time without thinking about it, helping me prove my work audits.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I find Timely really valuable because it uses AI to automatically track what I'm doing and determines the tasks I did for each client. This feature saves me time as I don't need to remember to start or stop a timer or try to recall what was done last week. It's significantly easier to use, which means more hours get logged, making our margin tracker more accurate. Every member of our team has given it positive reviews, mainly due to how much time it saves us. Plus, the initial setup of Timely was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

The Google Calendar integration can occasionally go wrong. For a small number of people, it's picking up appointments and reminders set by their colleagues, not them.

I use Timely to track team hours for client profitability. It saves time by automating task tracking with AI, reducing manual entries. It's easier to use, leading to more hours logged and accurate margin tracking.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

Time reporting is generally considered to be a real drag.  Timely does its best to help by automating Time reporting and recording activities.  Memory shows us what we've been working on and for how long - applications, files, emails, URLs and locations.  Memory entries can be converted into Time report entries.  We use Tagging to categorise time entries which makes analysis much more powerful.  Technical support is quick, friendly and useful.  We've looked at numerous different platforms; Timely is a standout leader in this area.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

There are very few downsides to using Timely.  Memory can get confused when generating automatic time entries but the benefits of having a full detailed record of what you've done massively outweighs that.  It's a platform that gets constant updates and sometimes those changes can break some of our ETL routines but that's usually quickly fixed.  The API is simple and comprehensive so the ETL issues are now a thing of the past.

**Recommendations to others considering Timely:**

I'd recommend Timely for any organisation that depends on accurate, detailed time reporting.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No-one likes doing time reporting but Timely takes away a lot of the pain.  We charge for our time and Timely helps us produce better, more detailed and more accurate time based invoices.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

The interface and the way Timely works are great. It’s easy to use without any difficulties, and it’s genuinely fun to operate. It also doesn’t make us feel overly watched or monitored, which is definitely a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

To be blunt, there’s really nothing negative I can say. Everything just feels better overall, and I genuinely don’t see any loopholes or problems. So I’d say there isn’t anything I dislike about it—if anything, that’s exactly what I like most about it.

I think Timely has been a huge help. It tracks data very easily, and it’s also simple to differentiate the data and export it when needed. I also like that you can make personal changes to fit your preferences.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I use Timely for my interior design business, and I love that I can log hours per project phase because that's how I bill for client work. It really helps take the guessing out of estimating my fees because I can look back and have clear hours logged per project. This is super beneficial when clients ask if I charge hourly or a flat fee. I also find it so helpful that Timely runs as a background app while I'm on the computer. If I forget to log hours, I can look back and use the tracking to see where my time went, which reassures my clients that their investment is worth it. Additionally, the initial setup of Timely was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Project reporting can be cumbersome at times, and if it were simplified, it would help save time. The report organization could be simplified.

I still love the lay-out. It gives a great overview.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Before, I used to go to projects, timesheets and then generate a pdf with an overview. Now you need to go to reports and I find it a little bit more difficult to generate a pdf with the fields to be seen in the pdf to be selected.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timely is always solving problems that occur in a very timely manner. With the chat function, Timely is easily reachable. 

Timely makes time and budget trakcing a lot easier and also gives you a nice overview of the hours that you performed which is useful for own use too.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I like Timely's memory feature that tracks my activity across all platforms because it allows me to go back in time and see what I did in the past days. It really helps when I don't have time to track what I'm doing in real-time. I also like the AI help for tagging and classifying most of my time entries, which saves me time. Though it's not 100% accurate, it seems to get better the more I use it. The initial setup was really easy. I started using, and from the very first day, it seemed good already.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

The AI feature is not as good as it could be. It makes a lot of mistakes, and it would be great to have better ways to train it. Like prompts or other feedback input for their training. Also, I tried connecting Timely with ClickUp with their native integration, and it didn't work as I'd like. The integration was a disaster for me. So I just forgot about it. The timely / ClickUp connection is not a must-have for me.

Super easy to set up and use, helps me track the work I do for my different clients much more easily.

It's created a new timeline that doesn't work as well for consultants. I'm hoping the old timeline view will always be there otherwise I'll have to find a new product.

As a fractional people leader and consultant with several different clients, Timely helps me keep track of the work I'm doing. I like to switch between tasks for clients and Timely helps capture all the things I work on and makes it really easy for me to parse out who I was doing what for.

Timely has been a game changer for us. We switch tasks frequently which can make it challenging to keep track of all the work we do. The insights that Timely has given us has led to more accuracy in timesheet updates and and increase in being able to invoice for billable work.

It's minor, but having to manually request the AI update for everyday takes a bit of time and could be done instantly.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I love Timely because it automatically tracks what I do on my computer, which helps me remember my tasks better and ensures I bill my customers accurately. I appreciate how it tracks my activity down to the minute in every app, and all I need to do is click to add those times to the billable project, making invoicing every two weeks a breeze. The initial setup was very easy, and I totally love Timely and highly recommend it.

The only thing I wish Timely did was track what I did on my phone because sometimes I do work-related things from my phone, but that's no big whoop.

I really enjoy using Timely. It has become an essential tool for me, as I rely on it every day to keep track of my hours for my IT consulting business. I find it straightforward to log time for each project, and the reporting features make it simple to generate the information I need for my Quickbooks invoices.

It seems they may discontinue their desktop app, which is disappointing for me. I rely on multiple browser profiles for my work and prefer not to run this app in a browser.

I have been using time trackers for years, and Timely is by far the best one I have encountered. It not only provides options to record your work data automatically but also allows you to generate detailed reports to present to your employer. 

What I appreciate most about Timely is its ability to help you quickly and easily organize your projects and hours. It allows for necessary adjustments while ensuring the privacy of your work.

With the Memory app, you can easily view all progress made on a task, simplifying its integration into your workflow for everyday use. 

Timely is a tool that I use frequently without worrying about it.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

One aspect of the Memory app that I find frustrating is the lack of an easy way to turn it off. Not all projects require automatic tracking, and it would be helpful to have the option to enable or disable it as needed.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I’ve been using Timely for a while now and it’s honestly a lifesaver. Thanks to the AI, my timesheets are filled out in about a minute. No more digging through emails or calendars. What makes it even better is the Memory app: it quietly tracks what I do across my devices so I don’t have to manually keep notes. Seeing my day automatically laid out is both accurate and surprisingly stress-free.

And when I do run into a question, their chat support is fantastic: fast, clear, and actually helpful. It feels like they value my time just as much as the app itself does.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

One small quirk: The AI Timely logs activities in blocks of 15 minutes. Most of the time that’s fine, but when I have a quick 5-minute call, it either rounds it up to 15 minutes or ignores it completely. Not the end of the world—it kind of balances out, since sometimes I bill a quarter hour and other times nothing at all—but it does mean ultra-short tasks aren’t always perfectly reflected.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don’t have to stop what I’m doing to start timers, guess later how long I spent on tasks, or try to reconstruct my day from memory. The AI plus the Memory app automatically logs what I’ve been working on across devices and organizes it into timesheets in literally a minute.

The benefit for me is huge:
- I save hours each week that would normally be wasted on admin.
- My timesheets are more accurate, which means fairer billing and fewer disputes with clients.

I have been using this tool for over 10 years and will always use it. The simplicity of the app, to add projects and quickly/simply keep track of the time spent on various projects throughout the work day has ensured I don't ever have to guess about hours when quoting work, and I don't miss hours when invoicing work. It also means that any overtime is foreseen and the conversation with the client can happen in advance instead of at the invoicing stage.
Also their support team is genuinely kind and supportive!

Some features that used to be part of the base plan (marking billed hours) became part of a higher tier which I was a bit disappointed about. However kudos to the support team who helped me with this feature as a long time customer ! I am still a happy one!

Timely is very simple and easy to use. Timely makes time tracking my every day jobs seamless. I add my entries as I go but the Memory app that works along side is always there to help if I have forgotten the time spent on a job. This is especially helpful when you're juggling many projects in one day. This feature captures so much billable time for the business without it there would be lost time and money. It also allows me to look back and see how productive I have been or where and when I can be more productive with my time. It's great to monitor capacity for the day to day schedule and works hand in hand with project management tools.

Sometimes it doesn't pick up when I'm working on software, but this doesn't happen often and when it does the Timely support team are more than helpful!

I really like that you can integrate your browser and other plugins to ensure it captures work completed across multiple browsers and tools. Being able to break down projects and time by users, with custom tags, and budget allocated by totals or hourly rates is a game changer. Having the timer on means you aren't able to track with Memory what you worked on so if you forget the Timer is on and go on to work on multiple things it means you can't quite log it. It may have changed by now, but this was a challenge I experienced. Still though, it's an excellent project, and though the timer exists, I prefer to rely on the Memory app within Timely.

Timely is super easy to use and install and works seamlessly in the background. I've been using it for 2 years now and it is an essential tool in my stack now.

Currently there is a small bug which sometimes stops timely from working temporarily when I join video calls but support are being very responsive in helping me troubleshoot this issue. It's only been happening for the past couple weeks.

Timely tracks what I am working on, and it makes doing my timesheet so much easier.  The training took about 5 minutes, and it knows where my mouse is (or is not) all day long.  The fact that it tracks even my meetings makes it fabulous.  It also allows me to do several days' timesheets at once so I don't have to remember exactly what I was working on and the need to do a timesheet everyday is no longer a necessity.

There are no downsides.  What would I like see improved:
I would like to see the root directory of files I am working in.  I use same file names for many clients and without the root directory, I sometimes have to figure out which clients data I was working on.
I think it should suggest a client based on the email addresses in my calendar invites.

Its just so much more accurate than me guessing at the end of the day how many hours on a client.  Its more equitable to my clients.

With Timely, I can easily make sense of all the activities I do in a day. I can assign them to the correct project and add a meaningful description in seconds, even if they happened a month ago. We also used the API to implement a dedicated internal app that helps us enhance each report. We moved from Toggl to Timely, and the migration was very smooth. Support has been quick to respond to all our questions. It’s definitely the best tool we’ve integrated into our daily workflow.

The  projects configuration/management could be enhanced. I would also like to be logged in directly when I click the link in the Memory Tracker app. Currently it just opens https://auth.memory.ai/login and I need to fill in email and password.

No one likes the task of tracking their time. It presents the dilemma  of either constantly tracking how you are spending every minute, or reconstructing it later. Timely neatly resides in a tab in your browser, and its memory feature provides you the exact data to determine exactly how much time was spent on each matter. It makes it so easy to click over to the Timely tab and create an entry that I actually look forward to tracking my time throughout the day. The fact that it syncs across multiple computers means I see how my time was spent from any of my computers/work locations. Fantastic.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I've been using the Timely plugin for nearly two years now, and it has been a game-changer. Before this, I had to manually log my work hours, often worrying about forgetting something. Since installing Timely, tracking my time has become significantly more convenient and accurate, making my workflow much more efficient.

Since the last update, the auto-tracking has improved in accuracy, but I still wish it were just a bit more precise.

Timely is solving the problem of manual time tracking and the risk of forgetting to log work hours. Before using the plugin, I had to record my time manually, which was inconvenient and sometimes led to missed entries. With Timely, tracking my work has become much more automated, convenient, and precise, ensuring that all my time is accurately recorded. This has helped me stay more organized and efficient, ultimately improving my workflow.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

Ease of use — interface is intiutive and user friendly, makes it easy to log hours and track work without knowing the software too well.
Automatic tracking - you can integrate Timely so that it records time spent on specific apps/tasks which you can then add quickly once you're going through your day. 
Tagging - the tagging system means you can log hours for granular things which is very helpful from a management perspective so you can see who has spent time on specific projects. Very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

I'd like to see a feature where it automatically fills in all the tasks you've completed in a day (e.g. adds all tasks/calendar inputs to your logged day after a prompt, then you could take out any as needed).

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work remotely, so it helps to get a view of how people are spending their time. As an agency this is critical for measuring profitability.
