  ### 2. Boosted Team Efficiency and Focus, Overcame Initial Trust Issues

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

This tool helps me to manage my time better, and helps me to manage my teams time better. Since I have started using this tool I am working fewer hours, but more efficiently and focused.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

No downsides as far as I can see, the team were mistrustful of the tool when we started, believing they were being watched by 'big brother' but now enjoy it as a way to manage their time more efficiently.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was working 12 hour days, but now I am sending my working time more focused and efficiently, so my work life balance has improved and I am able to see what I am actually spending my working day, week, month on, which projects are eating into my time, which projects I should be delegating. As I manage remotely I can easily see what my team are up to and how efficiently they are working.

**Official Response from Mina Park:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We’re really glad to hear Time Doctor has helped you work fewer hours while staying focused and productive. That kind of shift in work–life balance is exactly what we aim to support.

It’s also great to hear your team’s experience has evolved. It’s common for people to feel unsure at first, especially when adopting new visibility tools. We’re happy they now see it as a way to manage their time better, not as something intrusive. Building trust is a big part of how teams get the most out of Time Doctor, and your journey reflects that perfectly.

Your note about understanding where time goes and making clearer decisions about delegation and priorities is a powerful example of the value of transparent data. The fact that it’s helping you manage a remote team more confidently is even better.

If you ever have suggestions or ideas that would make Time Doctor even more supportive for you and your team, we’d love to hear them.

Thanks again for being part of the Time Doctor community.

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I use Time Doctor for time tracking for my work and appreciate that it helps me organize my time and tasks better. I like that it's easy to understand, and I find the break time feature useful as it reminds me to take necessary pauses. The initial setup was straightforward, and I didn't have any problems with it.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

the screenshots, are too invasive all the time

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Time Doctor to track work time and organize my tasks better.

**Official Response from Mina Park:**

  ### 4. Essential Tool for Monitoring Remote Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim S. | Chief Technical Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I like Time Doctor's simple to use interface. I appreciate the good reports and analytics it provides. The initial setup was very simple, and I could install it either locally or through my RMM tool using an installation script.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

Automatically tagging of productive or unproductive websites.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Time Doctor to monitor my remote employees and ensure proper licensing for their software. Its simple interface, good reports, and analytics help me keep things in check.

**Official Response from Mina Park:**

> Hi Jim,

Thanks for taking the time to share this, we really appreciate it.

Glad to hear the setup was straightforward and that the reports and analytics are helping you stay on top of your team and licensing. That’s exactly what we aim for clear visibility without added complexity.

On the automatic website tagging, that’s fair feedback. It’s something we’re continuing to refine so it better reflects real work patterns. In the meantime, you can customize classifications to better fit your team.

Thanks again for your insights.

  ### 5. Easy Time Editing and Simple Clock In/Out

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

Easy to edit time, and it’s simple to clock in and out.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

I don’t like that it pauses my time if I’m not actively working on my computer. There are plenty of times when I’m still working on something at my desk, or I may have stepped away for my allowed break time, and then when I resume work on the computer it shows that my time has been paused. I end up having to get approval for each of those instances.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like being able to see what remote employees are working on and whether they’re being productive.

**Official Response from Mina Park:**

> Hi there, thanks for sharing your feedback.

We’re glad to hear you find time editing and clocking in and out simple and easy to use. That day-to-day usability is important, especially for remote teams.

We also understand the frustration around time pausing during periods when you’re still working away from the keyboard or taking approved breaks. Time Doctor is designed to track active computer work, but there are settings and workflows that can help reduce unnecessary approvals. Our support team can help you fine-tune this so it better fits how your team works.

Thanks again for the honest feedback, it helps us keep improving.

  ### 6. Misleading, overcharged & not refunding

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon .

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I like the screenshot feature in Time Doctor, as it enables me to verify whether remote staff are actually working on their assigned tasks or not. The automatic time and app tracking is good too. Their terrible billing (misleading, overcharging, no refund) and terrible customer support undoes all that is good.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

I added 1 user on the monthly basic plan, then it charged me for all 4 users for the annual plan. I disputed it straight away and they refused to refund and move back to monthly payments. Their billing is misleading, they dont have cooling off periods or refunds even when they mislead the customer into the wrong plan. Many also had bad 'scam'-like experiences Time Doctor. Do not use

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Time Doctor to track employee productivity and monitor different projects

**Official Response from Mina Park:**

> Hi Simon, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced with your plan change and billing. That’s never the experience we want anyone to have.

We’ve reviewed your case internally and can confirm that your refund has now been fully processed. Our billing and development teams have also completed a full audit to ensure there were no technical issues involved. While the plan change was made from within the account, we understand how easy it can be to select the wrong option, and we’re glad we could resolve this quickly for you.

If there’s anything else you need or if you’d like help reviewing your current setup to avoid any future confusion, we’re here to help.

Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us improve.

Making sure our employees stay accountable

I like Time Doctor's reporting dashboard because it provides actionable insights into how time is being spent across projects and clients. The integration options are also a plus for me.

**Reviewed by:** Vijay C. | Solution Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

Time Doctor is a useful tool for tracking the time you spend on various tasks and activities. It offers integrations with platforms like Trello, allowing you to document your tasks and use Time Doctor to monitor your time. It works on your laptop as well as on mobile.

It is very user friendly and allows for manual time tracking if desired. The ability to run multiple reports for productivity and time spent on tasks is very helpful.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I like that i can drill down on a specific metric per team member. It is easy to use and understand.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

The downside is still the resistance from team members to being watched or monitored constantly, so it’s not TD specific.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me know what projects are taking longer to accomplish. It’s also good for monitoring remote workers.

**Official Response from Mina Park:**

> Hi there, thanks for sharing your experience.

It’s great to hear that drilling down into metrics by team member is easy and gives you clear insights into where time is being spent across projects. That visibility can make a big difference when managing remote teams.

You’re also right about the challenge of team perception. This isn’t unique to Time Doctor, and it’s something we encourage teams to address through transparency and clear communication around how data is used, to support better planning and fair workloads, not constant oversight.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review and for using Time Doctor.

  ### 27. Not a way to improve productivity

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabrina C. | CGC Project Manager and Sales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

The software itself is well made, support is fast and reliable. They have apps, extensions and all kinds of different ways for you to use it, which is good i guess to have options.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

I think its fine, I just dont agree and do not like its purpose. I still think it doesnt help employees to be productive, it's a way of micromanagement that i do not agree with. If you're on the employer side, I also think it'd be time consuming and pointless to check on each employee... i'd say its cheaper to hire people you trust and prove theyre productive.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't think it helps solve any problems for employees. Employers might think they are improving productivity by making employees use this but it is absolutely the other way around, in my opinion.

**Official Response from Laura Ramsay:**

> Hi Sabrina,

Thank you for sharing your perspective and for recognizing the quality of our software and support. We understand that not everyone agrees with the concept of productivity tools like Time Doctor, and we respect your point of view.

Our intention is not to enable micromanagement, but rather to provide transparency and insights that can help teams build trust, support fair pay, and work more effectively — especially in remote and distributed environments. Many organizations use Time Doctor as a way to empower employees to showcase their work and balance accountability with flexibility.

We appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us continue the conversation about how productivity tools can best serve both employers and employees.

Time Doctor features like inputting a schedule, setting up management teams, and monitoring productivity with screenshots and keystrokes are incredibly helpful for fully remote teams. Our team has been remote since before Covid-19 hit, and we have utilized Time Doctor to help manage our team, payroll, and reporting for years. It is easy to put in schedules. The only downside is that in order for us to upgrade to the newer version we would have to start all over.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

It tracks our team accurately and in near real time. It helps us spot any discrepancies through manual review, and lets us coach people based on that information.

We are fully remote - so it allows us to have better insight into how our team spends their time.

  ### 34. It has slowly improved in how fast it runs, it how quickly you can edit time, and although it's still a controversial tool for micro-managing, it has tons of features to help all styles of time and people management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose S. | Content Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

You can better visualize the time you've accumulated overall but also in certain tasks. Its integration with browsers and other apps is also smoother.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

It should allow you to edit, review reports, and perform all other functions within the app instead of merely redirecting you to the browser page for those tasks.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to work remotely and our boss wanted to monitor our work computer screens and time logged in for work. They use its recorded hours to pay us.

**Official Response from Laura Ramsay:**

> Hi Jose,

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear that Time Doctor has improved in speed and continues to help you visualize time across tasks, as well as integrate smoothly with browsers and apps.

We understand the concerns around micromanagement — in our experience, this really comes down to how the tool is implemented. Many teams use Time Doctor to promote transparency and fairness, especially when it comes to remote work and accurate pay, rather than for micromanagement.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie K. | CMO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I really like Time Doctor for its robust tracking features that give me a clear picture of our team’s productivity. It helps me keep tabs on total hours worked, as well as what’s considered productive versus unproductive time, and even idle time. While I don’t usually pay too much attention to small mismatches—after all, everyone is human—it’s been invaluable for spotting significant discrepancies that I would have never discovered otherwise. This level of transparency makes our reporting and invoicing process much more accurate.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

So far, everything has been fantastic. The chat support has been incredibly helpful. We encountered a few issues with certain features and billing, but Roxy, the Customer Support Head, assisted us in resolving them. Additionally, Lemuel from the support team was very friendly and made sure to follow up with us.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to track service demand monthly, but now we see it in real-time.

It makes doing my payment run each month so much easier as I know the exact hours worked by my team. It's also very helpful for picking up any issues from my team - the activity reports and screenshots every 15 mins show me when a team member isn't working as they should so that I can quickly address any issues with them. It's quick and easy to set up and makes my life a lot easier as a team leader!

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

With quite a few people in my team it does cost a bit but I'm sure I save enough to cover the cost by saving time and it highlighting any issues in the team.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me accurately know what hours have been worked on our projects and highlights if there are any employee issues so I can address them before they become a problem that affects our work output.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny P. | Senior Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I wanted to share positive feedback regarding Time Doctor. Its tool for identifying productive hours and reporting on web activity has been valuable in monitoring our team's efficiency.

Additionally, I have found both the standard reporting tool and the support team to be very helpful in generating the data necessary to track team productivity. We use it every week to review the report from the tool.

It is an easy tool to configure, it feels like a one or two-hour job for managers to set up the tool and it is quite easy to install on Windows and Mac too.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

There is nothing specific but sometimes it does not provide explorer data to understand the idle or unproductive hours.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time doctor is solution to many problens that my team was facing initially, I will try to list down a few here:
1. Login Log out time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francheska S. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

We started with Time Doctor 1, and when we switched to Time Doctor 2, the transition was effortless. Their customer service was patient and knowledgeable, guiding me from scratch when I moved from a sub-account to a primary one for tracking my VA team.

The ease of implementation and integration was a huge plus—straightforward, no unnecessary steps, just plug and play. What keeps us using it every day? Accurate time tracking and the payroll feature, which makes paying my team simple and precise. No shenanigans, just a reliable tool that works. Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

Like any app, it has its hiccups. Sometimes, the activity bar pauses while tracking runs in the background, or it turns on automatically even when I’m not working. Not a deal-breaker, but a bit frustrating.

Still, it’s the best time-tracking tool we’ve found, and we use it every day! Just hoping they fine-tune those small quirks.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we work remotely, Time Doctor helps me monitor my team’s activity to ensure they’re staying productive. It also improves accountability and transparency, so I always know when and how work is being done. The payroll feature is a huge benefit, making payments effortless based on actual hours worked. Plus, its ease of use and integration means no complicated setup—just a smooth workflow every day.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

Needs some sort of automation of how to detect when a category is changed. Manual changing can be frustrating.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time Doctor provides transparency to our work. It's helps avoid the "Mirco" Managing - Especially for remote workers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberto G. | Virtual Health Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I really appreciate the autostart feature, and I find the idle activity timer to be both practical and very useful.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

The activity sidebar is the least helpful feature for me. I prefer to keep my workspace visually uncluttered, so I have it disabled.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets my employer know or be aware of my time during work and what I do.

**Official Response from Mina Park:**

> Hi Roberto,

Thank you for sharing your experience and for using Time Doctor every day. It’s great to hear that the autostart feature and idle activity timer are making your workflow smoother, those tools are designed to stay out of the way while keeping everything accurate.

We appreciate your note about the activity sidebar as well. Everyone’s workspace preferences are different, and it’s helpful to know when something feels unnecessary or visually distracting. Feedback like this guides us as we continue improving customization options.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad Time Doctor is supporting you and your team.

  ### 44. Good for monitoring and productivity!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shikher G. | SEO Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I like how Time Doctor’s gentle reminders to stay focused and the option to track time silently make it feel less intrusive and more supportive.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

I still believe Time Doctor is a great tool, but the screenshots every 3 minutes can feel a bit much. Just capturing the desktop should be enough without needing frequent images of us.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increases productivity of employees and help effectively monitoring the work they have done.

**Official Response from Laura Ramsay:**

> Hi Shikher,
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad to hear you find the focus reminders and silent tracking helpful, and that Time Doctor supports productivity in a way that feels less intrusive.

We understand your concern about screenshot frequency. Time Doctor is designed to be flexible, and many settings — including screenshot intervals — can be adjusted by employers to fit the needs and comfort level of their teams.

We truly appreciate your input, as it helps us ensure Time Doctor remains both effective and supportive.

It is decent for tracking staff movements.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

The customer service team is horrible and money hungry and refuse to process refunds or notify of upcoming renewal periods. Christian Montellano and the support team are difficult to work with and I don't recommend this software, there are far better alternatives.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking

**Official Response from Laura Ramsay:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry that our initial handling of your request caused frustration, and we understand how important it is to feel supported and informed. While this situation has since been resolved with a refund and account cancellation, we recognize we could have managed it better from the start.

We’re taking your feedback seriously and making improvements to our communication and support processes so that future experiences are smoother. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

We used to use the honor system- having remote workers fill in an excel worksheet. Now I log in, print out the custom export with the start and end dates and export to excel. I also like that it shows idle time. I also have the ability to see what websites people are on. I don't use this often, but it's good to have in case there is a problem.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

The downside is that when the i.t. department switches out a computer on me, it's still showing the old one and recording zero hours. Sometimes it takes a cycle to get it working correctly on the new machine.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of remote workers. I don't have to wait for workers to self-report their hours before I do payroll.

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

Time doctor allows me to track the hours and activity of my foreign employees. I find it incredibly useful for this purpose.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

Sometimes navigating to the right piece of data is a little difficult. One thing i find a little frustrating is when I set a date range for a data set, that date range changes if I pick another employee or task or go to a different menu. if you don't notice, you get wrong information

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to track my employees time which I would otherwise struggle to do.

  ### 48. Short, but honest, review

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

I really like that I'm able to set up a screenshots, the productivity status. Being able to download the hours worked to submit payroll is nice as well.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

What I dislike about TimeDoctor is that there isn't a way to create a schedule and share to the team. I think it would make sense for time doctor to allow you to create schedules.

**What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time keeping

  ### 50. AWFUL SUPPORT and BILLING!

**What do you like best about Time Doctor?**

A good software when it works but it is very buggy.

**What do you dislike about Time Doctor?**

I've been a customer since 2020 and used the software daily, but my recent experience has been frustrating. The billing system is chaotic, and support has been unhelpful. I downgraded my user base to migrate off the software, then upgraded again with the same lower user count—but I was charged at the older user count, which I have removed.

The support representative seemed confused, repeatedly referencing my old user count despite my explanation. After much back-and-forth, they finally understood the issue but said they'd need to "investigate" and check timestamps, delaying resolution further.

To make matters worse, there seems to be no record of my historical data. Despite migrating to Time Doctor 2 two years ago, they continue to claim it’s a recent migration. The tech stack feels buggy and unreliable, with clear signs it needs extensive testing.

This software has potential, but the current state is enough to drive users away. Fix these issues before they alienate more customers.
