## ThoughtSpot Reviews
  ### 1. Easy-to-Navigate Search with Powerful Filters and Helpful AI Query Tweaks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

When I search for all kinds of data points related to a topic (example: Fraud), the search results are easy to navigate through and it gives me the list of all kinds of data points along with filters. The tool actually gives good amount of filters to view the specific results.
The AI tool which helps tweaking the queries which I sometimes miss is also very useful. I dont need to go to an external AI for it. It sees worth the price for the performance it gives. I havent used the support so i cannot say much.
It has been very useful to view data in graphs and is easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

The profile section can actually have 'Your own dashboards, queries, Live charts'. Finding your own charts is a bit tedious.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think having a spot for all sorts of data related visualising prowess is very useful unline Tableu. It makes finding data as easy as searching on Google, which means fraud specialists don't have to wait days for data teams to build reports. It automatically connects all your different systems—like bank transactions, IP locations, and account details—into one place. Because it uses everyday language, newly hired specialists can start searching for suspicious activity on day one without needing to know complex coding. This helps teams catch fraud and stop financial losses immediately instead of waiting around for answers.

  ### 2. ThoughtSpot is one of the best tools on the market

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Murugan M. | Senior Data Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

Bridg iDR data is inherently complex because it stitches together SKU-level transaction history, offline behaviors, and enriched demographic data fields. ThoughtSpot allows business leaders, marketers, and regional managers to simply type questions like "Show me the top 5 lifestyle attributes of customers buying item X who aren't on our loyalty program" without waiting on a data engineering queue

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

ThoughtSpot queries data directly where it lives (typically high-performance cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS). Because Bridg uncovers massive volumes of non-loyalty transaction data, heavy ad-hoc querying from business users can quickly scale up cloud compute costs if query optimization and caching parameters aren't managed tightly.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of creating 50 separate static dashboards to track different customer segments or campaign attribution models, teams can use ThoughtSpot’s dynamic "Liveboards" to endlessly drill down into specific audience traits or SKU performance on the fly

  ### 3. Efficient with Visuals, But Needs More Flexibility

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

I use ThoughtSpot for surfacing data in Snowflake and enabling self-serve. It makes it much easier for non-technical users to query data and build visuals. I like the ease of building visuals and querying data, and the live search is a feature I enjoy. The automatic filter pick-up and keyword searching are also helpful. It's easier for non-technical stakeholders to build reports plus NLQ with Spotter.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

I find the flexibility to transform data very limited and there's no way to stipulate what type of join to use. It would be useful to have more flexibility in visual types and data transformations, similar to a Power Query type layer in Power BI. Also, integrating apps built in Claude/Cursor and having the ability to plug them into live data in ThoughtSpot would be great.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThoughtSpot surfaces data in Snowflake, enabling self-serve access and makes it easier for non-technical users to query data and build visuals.

  ### 4. Intuitive Natural Language Analytics That Speeds Insights and Integrates Smoothly with Snowflake

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

What I like best about ThoughtSpot is how intuitive it makes data exploration. The natural language search allows both technical and non-technical users to quickly get insights without needing to write complex queries. It really shortens the time from question to answer, which is valuable in fast-paced environments. This is especially important to my organization, as we need quick, on the spot insights to help us drive strategy. Overall, the integration with Snowflake was straightforward and allowed us to streamline our backend data. Additionally, the continuous improvement efforts of ThoughtSpot to evolve the platform are top of the line - they have an extensive runway of enhancements to better shape the product and respond to customer needs.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

One area for improvement in ThoughtSpot is its formatting and reporting flexibility. While the platform is very strong for ad hoc analysis and search-driven insights, it can feel somewhat limited when trying to create highly customized, presentation-ready reports compared to more traditional BI tools. Additionally, in being cloud based, it can be challenging to bring in data (e.g., text files, etc.) outside of cloud based tools. In our organization, we often receive data from vendors that are flat files and having the abiliyt to easily bring those in would be an added benefit.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThoughtSpot helps solve the challenge of quickly accessing and analyzing HEDIS performance data. It allows us to dig deeper into the data and uncover insights in a much faster, more seamless way. It also provides a self-service capability for end users, which reduces ad hoc requests and frees up analysts’ time. Without it, analysts would spend hours manually querying and analyzing datasets, slowing down decision-making. With ThoughtSpot, we’re able to get to actionable insights much more efficiently.

  ### 5. Revolutionized Insights with Conversational AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farid V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

I really like the Conversational AI, Agentic features, and the Spotter functionality of ThoughtSpot. They provide additional insights and explanations, making the platform thorough, easy to access, and ubiquitous. The value comes in speed, clarity, and broader access to insights, as it reduces the friction between a business question and a usable answer. I appreciate how users can ask questions naturally, iterate quickly, and transition from data to action with less effort. I find Spotter particularly valuable as it goes beyond just information retrieval by explaining data, providing additional context, and guiding users to insights they might not think of on their own. ThoughtSpot becomes more than a reporting tool; it is a decision-support capability helping users interpret results, explore implications, and act confidently.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

There is clear value in ThoughtSpot, but the opportunity is in making advanced capabilities more consistently intuitive and dependable for everyday business users. At times, the experience can still require too much user interpretation, especially when moving from a question to a fully trusted, decision ready insight. Areas for improvement include making outputs more consistently context-aware, improving the precision and relevance of generated insights, and simplifying the experience so users can navigate advanced capabilities without needing significant enablement. In short, the platform is strongest when it reduces complexity. The more seamless, explainable and business-friendly the experience becomes, the more broadly and confidently it will be adopted.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThoughtSpot for quick, insightful data exploration through conversational AI and Spotter, which facilitates natural questions and provides thorough insights, reducing reliance on static dashboards and technical teams.

  ### 6. Empowers Self-Service Analytics with Speed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

I love how ThoughtSpot is quick and enables us to democratize data, allowing more people to access it. It's fun to build with, and it offers many unique features. I appreciate the specific visuals we can create, such as heat maps and bar and line charts, which serve multiple purposes for our users. I find it very intuitive to use ThoughtSpot, making it easy to create quick answers with filters. I've learned to perform tasks rapidly and provide a lot of value with engaging visuals instead of just showing quick tables. People respond well to these visuals, which has been really helpful. Additionally, I enjoy ThoughtSpot for its ability to handle a vast amount of data and manipulate it, impressing everyone I have shown it to with how fast they can create reports and customize data.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

Sometimes, it does take a little bit of time to index the data when a new data model is created, and that is a little frustrating. So being able to get that indexing time down would be great.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThoughtSpot enables quick report creation and self-service data access, reducing back-and-forth on requirements. It democratizes data, allowing quick customizations, and users love the visuals and tabular download options. It's intuitive and lets us manage vast data effortlessly, impressing everyone with its speed and capability.

  ### 7. ThoughtSpot: Easy to Use, Clear Documentation, and Seamless AI Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maayan B. | Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

What I like most about ThoughtSpot is its ease of use, the ability to build relationships within the data model, and its very clear documentation. It also offers a seamless integration of AI capabilities and a well-designed user interface that aligns closely with market needs.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

“ThoughtSpot is highly accessible to end users, so once the models are built correctly within the platform, the responsibility for operating reports and visualizations lies with the end users. You don’t need to be a BI developer to manage the system. This has saved the data and engineering teams significant time, allowing them to focus on deeper business analysis rather than report maintenance.”What I like less at the moment is that while the platform is very AI-focused, their agent isn’t as powerful as I would expect. It doesn’t fully learn user behavior as anticipated, even though it leverages the OpenAI engine.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThoughtSpot is highly accessible to end users, so once the models are built correctly within the platform, the responsibility for operating reports and visualizations lies with the end users. You don’t need to be a BI developer to manage the system. This has saved the data and engineering teams significant time, allowing them to focus on deeper business analysis rather than report maintenance.

  ### 8. Great Self-Service, But Formulas, Modeling, and Dashboard Access Are Too Many Steps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabelle N. | Associate Data Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

The platform makes it easy for non-technical users to self-serve, and the software is relatively easy to learn. Customer support is also responsive.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

The formulas don’t use SQL or Excel-style formatting, so they’re difficult to build, understand, and troubleshoot.

Also, for a dashboard to include filters, the data has to be created as a model rather than pulled directly from the source table. That’s frustrating because it adds an extra step to what should be a straightforward setup.

Adding users to dashboards and granting access also feels unnecessarily drawn out. Users request access, it comes through via email, and when you click “grant” it takes you to the dashboard—where you then have to remember the user’s name and manually add them yourself. On top of that, if someone needs to use the dashboard filters, you’re required to give them access to the underlying sources. Why? Overall, there are just too many steps.

The formatting available within ThoughtSpot also feels very limiting in terms of fonts, colour palettes, themes, etc. available.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dashboarding and analytics for the business in real-time. Varied dashboards can be built fairly quickly and easily to answer business questions.

  ### 9. Most useful for data extraction and performance analysis.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Titus J. | Sr Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

Thoughtspot has given me an edge in obtaining relevant data sets to get clear and up to date view of the market segments compared to othe sources we use.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

It's almost perfect. But it does take some time to load in the browser. If there is a stand alone application that eases the accessibility of data, would be an added enhancement. Inability to get weekly comparison data because of storage limitation.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me a single source for data which in other sources are spread across different platforms or sections. Thoughtspot saves me a lot of time in obtaining data for analysis

  ### 10. Spotter Is a Huge Time Saver for Charts, Tiles, and API Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?**

I think the Spotter tool is really cool at interpreting prompts and producing answers/liveboard tiles that match well with what I wanted. Huge time saver when making charts and tables. I also use the SpotterCode MCP regularly to understand and make API calls as we build out our integration - its awesome!

**What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?**

Not much! At first I found it a little difficult to generate charts & tiles manually, but it was just a different paradigm than I'm used to. I know we had one recent workaround when it comes to displaying a duration column, but with formulas we were able to make things work.

**What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thoughtspot has been able to provide the same level of reporting functionality so far as our home-built Reporting we're placing, plus more
