**What do you like best about TestStand?**

The ability to do tests has improved team efforts and this in return increased productivity. Its features are meant for tests in lay mans understanding but beyond this there is increased productivity, efficient team work, reduced wastage and trial and error declines. This reduces production costs
To be honest it is not the easiest app to operate if you are not in its field. Besides, the interface can take you time before you understand how it functions and still, implementation is only possible with a person that really understands it well. In short, it is not everbody piece of cake in terms of using. However, the perfectly inbuilt reporting and logging features ensures that you get the right results.
It has reduced our failure rate as well as errors have significantly decreased
When compared to other similar apps, TestStand is the right alternative and it favours large teams
The customer support is to the point, ensures that your issues are solved instantly
Has numerous strengths for software integration such as saving data generated from tests in either cloud-based or local database

**What do you dislike about TestStand?**

What i realized about TestStand is that it does not favor small or medium businesses due to its cost.

**What problems is TestStand solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our firm's error and failure rate have significantly reduced

**Reviewed by:** Max L. | Secretary, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2023

**What do you like best about TestStand?**

The looping feature is useless. The software is finicky when running threads causing issues with closing the application. Error messages originating from LabVIEW interrupt the test sequence in TestStand requiring closure of windows. The pricing is costly for individuals or small and medium enterprises. It requires time to grasp and become familiar with the interface.

**What do you dislike about TestStand?**

It is a useless tool for integrating capabilities with other tools and frameworks. Developing tests using TestStand is ineptness and hard. The software is not user friendly and difficult to learn. It also lacks in documentation and reliable support. It increases the testing time but reduce performance, within our testing process. The error handling capabilities are not robust enough to handle all of the potential errors that occur during testing. This led to test failures and lost data.

**What problems is TestStand solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TestStand interface is a complex and a steep learning curve, which make it difficult for new users to learn how to use it properly. This led to frustration and lost productivity. It is unable to handle the most demanding test automation requirements. It is a commercial product, and expensive to purchase and maintain. This makes it a prohibitive option for some organizations. It does not support all of the devices that an organization needs to test. This is a problem for organizations that are testing a wide variety of devices. The transition from versions to versions is a big issue.

  ### 3. Disruption and flawed of TestStand

Its built-in test modules and functions there are instances where implementing customizations that arent easily achievable with TestStand.

**What problems is TestStand solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TestStand obstructed our business operations. It made our testing procedures more difficult. Increasing the need, for testing, which waste our lot of time and effort. The automated testing features create bugs in user functions and decrease our productivity and precision. We are unable to oversee and monitor test outcomes which ultimately arises the major problem and issues.

  ### 7. Teststand is an overall great platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel A. | Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2022

**What do you like best about TestStand?**

I appreciate the easy integration of LabVIEW in each step and how easy it is to configure. I also like how easy it is for a production operator to test using this software. It is also an easy platform to move around and edit items. The NI platform is a positive aspect about TestStand. NI has a lot of hardware that can pair with TestStand to allow many different configurations to test a variety of products. TestStand is also a useful tool when utilizing the same LabVIEW Vi for multiple steps.

**What do you dislike about TestStand?**

Defining the variables can get cumbersome, especially when transfering variables to different PCs and sequences. The looping feature is not as useful as I woul like to. I would like to see looping for averaging results. Sometimes the software can get finicky when it is running multiple threads and you cannot close the application. I also have had a few issues with error messages from LabVIEW do not allow the teststand sequence to continue. It requires the user to close the window out from LabVIEW in order to continue.

**Recommendations to others considering TestStand:**

I would recommend TestStand when you are required to use multiple LabVIEW Vis and if you like less complexity. Teststand is also easy to modify and easy to create a use rinterface. That is needed.

**What problems is TestStand solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Each LabVIEW Vi can be much less complex, making it easy to follow the test steps that are needed to test a product. TestStand has allowed me to reduce my development time by creating sequences, rather than relying on LabVIEW to create an entire test. It has also helped me by allowing me to utilize the NI hardware and others that work well with NI software. I also like the ability to create reports and store them on a database platform.

**What do you like best about TestStand?**

I like how diverse the program is and how many functionalities it allows you to do. Integrating this software with others like LabView to transfer code very easily allows for faster and more efficient testing of products. Quickly can finish my project and be able to figure out any errors but the smooth error representation which is one of my most favorite features.

**What do you dislike about TestStand?**

Very tough interface to learn and get accustomed to. It takes a bit to find what you need and a lot of functions available and not used or needed for many individuals. Every a couple of weeks it gets very easy but beginning is the most difficult until one is able to be very familiar with the functions and exactly when to use them. Overall not many dislikes.

**What problems is TestStand solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working on automation of radios using LabView code. Using TestStand to test code and different simulations. Can run many trials quickly which allows for more test time in a shorter period of time. Easy error completion as well.
