## TeamViewer Reviews
  ### 1. Remote Support Made Simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishabh A. | Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

What I like most about TeamViewer is that it makes remote support feel easy. The interface is simple and clear, so you don’t need to spend a lot of time figuring out how to connect or help someone.

I also like that it works smoothly when you need quick support. In a technical environment like IKOS Group, small delays can slow down the work, so having a tool that lets people troubleshoot remotely and solve issues faster is really useful.

For me, the best part is that TeamViewer is practical. It helps teams stay connected, support clients or colleagues from anywhere, and reduce unnecessary downtime. I also like that it is growing beyond basic remote access with features around IT management and smarter digital support.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

What I dislike about TeamViewer is that it can sometimes feel slow when the internet connection is weak. Since remote support depends so much on speed and stability, even a small delay can make the session frustrating.

I also feel that while the basic features are easy to use, some of the more advanced options can take time to understand. For a new user, it may not always be clear where to find certain settings or how to use the enterprise features properly.

Another thing is the pricing. TeamViewer is very useful, but for smaller teams or people who only need it occasionally, the cost can feel a bit high.

Overall, I still think it is a strong tool, but it could be better with smoother performance on weaker connections, simpler advanced settings, and more flexible pricing options.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamViewer solves the problem of distance by allowing people to give support remotely.

For me at IKOS Group, it helps teams understand issues faster, troubleshoot directly, and avoid delays. The biggest benefit is that it makes technical support and collaboration quicker, simpler, and more efficient

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hi Rishabh,
Thank you for your detailed feedback.
We're glad to hear that TeamViewer's ease of use, browser-based connectivity, and remote support features have made it easier for your IT team to assist employees and keep operations running smoothly. It's rewarding to know that TeamViewer played an important role in supporting your organization during remote work periods.
We also appreciate your comments about large file transfers and additional customization options. Feedback like this helps us continue refining the customer experience.
Best,

  ### 2. Best platform for Enabling Remote connectivity.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul D. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2021

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

I like the fact that we can also screen share with web browser, there is no need to download and install the app. This is very helpful, when you have new joiners on the team, we can access their screens during IT induction and help them set up their laptops

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Layout has improved, many customisation options available now. I think it still needs improvement on sharing heavy files, often heavy files does not load or stop transferring in the middle of sessions

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

Need some options for customization and layout change

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helped me a lot during the coronavirus pandemic since all the employees were working remotely. Team viewer was widely used by our tech and IT team to solve any technical glitches or update the system/software of the employees. Thus facilitating the smooth functioning of all the workstation/computers.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hello Rahul,
Thank you for sharing your experience with TeamViewer. We're delighted to hear that browser-based screen sharing has been valuable for your IT onboarding process and that it helped your team stay connected and productive while working remotely.
It's especially rewarding to know that TeamViewer supported your IT team during the pandemic, helping employees quickly resolve technical issues and keep their devices running smoothly.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding large file transfers and customization options. Insights like yours help us continue improving the user experience and enhancing our solutions.
Best,
Ying/TeamViewer

  ### 3. Wonderful product, very flexible, use over many platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny B. | President, Chief Pilot, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2020

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Capabilities have stayed the same, at least the functions I use.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Device management seems to be harder to organize, but you can still get there.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

I respect that TeamViewer is careful about not allowing free users to use their products commercially. Be aware that TV has gotten almost too tough on closing down non-commercial users. Many (MANY) years ago, I had some commercial uses of the application through my employer, but in the last over a decade, I've used TV to support my friends and family. However I suspect because of either the places I've used it from (waiting at a doctor's office was one situation that TV "caught" me) or the number of devices from my family that are connected to my account, TV has at least 3 times made me fill out paperwork to again certify that I'm not a commercial user. This is frustrating and gets in the way of helping a family member probably when they need it most. Again, I respect TV for their need to control this. My warning to potential users: if you're going to use it commercially, respect their license and their business model and accept the cost. It's worth it! And it really will be a pain if you try to use the product commercially but claim you're not.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It takes a special skill set to be able to help users on computers, tablets, and phones and visualize what they're seeing and instructing them in each step. TeamViewer allows you to provide the support and see what they're seeing. It saves time and solves problems that might not be fixable any other way.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hello Danny,
Thank you for trusting TeamViewer and naming TeamViewer as the best remote access solution! We are thrilled that you have enjoyed using TeamViewer's performance, cross-platform flexibility, and reliability.

  ### 4. TeamViewer: One Click Away from Easy Remote Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ebini M. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Its best features are its ease of use, reliability, and secure remote access across diverse operating systems. Based on what power users and IT professionals tend to praise most, here’s a breakdown of the specific TeamViewer capabilities I like best—and the “unexpected” benefits that can drastically improve workflow but often go unnoticed.

TeamViewer’s standout strength, for me, is the mix of cross-platform compatibility and simplicity. It lets you control computers, tablets, or phones from almost anywhere, without having to deal with complicated router or firewall configurations.

1. Drag-and-Drop File Transfer: This is often the single biggest time-saver in day-to-day work. Instead of clicking the “File Transfer” button (which opens a separate dual-pane window), you can drag a file from your local desktop and drop it directly into the remote screen window. That small difference can save minutes per session by avoiding the “Email Waltz” (zipping files, attaching them to an email, then waiting for the client to download and unzip). For transferring scripts, patches, or single documents, it turns what used to be a multi-step process into one simple gesture.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

TeamViewer is a powerhouse, but for many users the biggest “deal-breakers” tend to be its cost and what can feel like aggressive licensing detection.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamViewer Fixes IT and machine issues remotely, drastically reducing equipment downtime and wait times. Resolves employee tech roadblocks without requiring an in-person IT visit, ensuring work continues uninterrupted.
It is benefiting me in many ways for instance ,I can instantly log into client or employee devices using the TeamViewer Remote platform to diagnose and resolve tickets. This drastically lowers travel costs and shortens resolution times

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hi Ebini,
Thank you for your detailed and insightful review! We're thrilled to hear that TeamViewer’s cross-platform compatibility, ease of use, and reliability are supporting your daily workflows so effectively.
Your highlight of the drag-and-drop file transfer feature is especially appreciated. It’s great to see how small capabilities can make a big difference in saving time and simplifying processes.
We’re also glad to hear that TeamViewer helps you resolve issues quickly, reduce downtime, and minimise travel. These are exactly the efficiencies we aim to deliver.
We understand your concerns regarding pricing and licensing detection, and we truly value this feedback. We’ll make sure to share it with our team as we continue to improve the overall experience.
Thanks again for taking the time to share such a detailed perspective!
Best,
Ying/TeamViewer

  ### 5. TeamViewer Makes Remote Support Easy and Smooth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nidumollu L. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

What I like most about TeamViewer is how easy it is to use without feeling overly complicated. I’ve used it for helping friends and family fix issues on their computers, and the connection process is usually quick and smooth. The interface is simple enough that even people who aren’t very tech-savvy can follow along.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

One thing I dislike about TeamViewer is that the pricing for premium plans also feels a bit expensive for individual users or small teams.
Another downside is that performance can occasionally lag on slower internet connections, especially during high-quality screen sharing or large file transfers. There are also times when updates or security prompts interrupt quick access, which can be frustrating when you need fast remote support.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamViewer helps solve the problem of providing fast and reliable remote access and technical support without needing to be physically present. It allows me to troubleshoot issues, guide users, transfer files, and access devices from anywhere, which saves a lot of time and effort compared to explaining solutions over calls or messages. The biggest benefit is reduced downtime and improved productivity, since problems can be fixed quickly in real time and work can continue smoothly even when devices or team members are in different locations.

**Official Response from Valeria Di Prisco:**

> Hello Nidumollu,

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review. We truly appreciate it!

It’s great to hear that TeamViewer’s ease of use and simple interface make it accessible for everyone, even when supporting friends and family.

We’re glad the connection process is seamless and enables you to deliver quick, hassle-free support while keeping everything running efficiently across locations.

We also appreciate your honest feedback on pricing. We understand that affordability is an important factor, especially for individuals and small teams, and your input is valuable as we continue refining our plans to meet different needs better.

Regarding the occasional lag and interruptions, you mentioned, we understand how disruptive that can be—especially when timely support is critical. To help improve performance, we recommend ensuring both devices are running the latest version of TeamViewer from our website. Restarting the devices and, if possible, resetting the Wi‑Fi/router can also help stabilize the connection and reduce latency.

We hope these tips will help you with future connections.

Best,

Valeria/TeamViewer

  ### 6. Simple and Reliable, but Getting Too Expensive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shresth k. | data analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

What I like best about TeamViewer is that it usually just works without turning setup into an IT project. You send someone an ID and password, connect, and you're in. That simplicity is honestly the main reason it became so popular in the first place. Even non-technical people can figure it out in a few minutes.

I also think its cross platform support is genuinely strong. Windows, Mac, android it handles mixed-device environments better than a lot of competitors. For remote support, especially helping family members or clients, that matters more than flashy features.

I wouldn't pretend its perfect. A lot of users complain about pricing becoming aggressive over the years, random commercial use detected warnings, and occasional lag or connection drops. Those criticisms seem pretty consistent across reviews and Reddit discussions.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

What I dislike most about TeamViewer is its pricing and licensing system. The software itself is easy to use, but the constant subscription push and random “commercial use detected” flags can make the experience frustrating, especially for personal users. Performance can also feel inconsistent at times, with occasional lag or connection drops during remote sessions.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamViewer solves the problem of remote access and technical support without needing physical access to a device. Instead of traveling or explaining fixes over a phone call, I can instantly connect to another computer, troubleshoot issues, transfer files, or access my own system from anywhere. That saves a lot of time and makes remote work and support far more practical.

It also helps when working across different devices and locations. I can access files, software, or systems remotely without depending on complicated vpn setups, which makes work more flexible and efficient.

**Official Response from Valeria Di Prisco:**

> Hello Shresth,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review.

It is great to hear that you value the simplicity of connecting, the ease of use for non-technical users, and the strong cross-platform support. Being able to quickly access devices and provide remote help without complex setup is exactly what we aim to deliver, especially across different systems and locations.

We also understand your concerns regarding pricing, performance consistency, and the limitations you mentioned.

Sometimes, TeamViewer may mistakenly flag personal use as commercial. We apologize for the inconvenience. You can learn more here:
https://www.teamviewer.com/en/global/support/knowledge-base/teamviewer-classic/licensing/personal-use/commercial-use-suspected/
If needed, you can request an ID reset here (please include all IDs):
https://www.teamviewer.com/reset

For performance issues like lag or drops, please ensure both devices are updated to the latest version, then try restarting them and your WiFi router.

Thank you again for your balanced perspective and for using TeamViewer to support your remote access needs.

Best regards,

Valeria/TeamViewer

  ### 7. Best Remote control & File Sharing App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayank G. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2022

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

TeamViewer is the best app for remote desktop connections. Just share TeamViewer ID and password of the person you want to take control of pc. That's it. The best part is that it keeps changing your password whenever you close and start the application, so the security is also maintained, or else anyone can connect to your pc any time. Also, in their new update, you can copy and paste data directly from 1 pc to another.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

A few security issues were present, but TeamViewer solved them by generating or refreshing passwords at set intervals, so now your password changes at regular intervals. Costs are high after the free plan; the free plan allows only 3 devices to be remotely controlled after logging in.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We just need to sign in from 1 account on all our devices having team viewer application, then we can directly connect remote desktop without any id and password, but in the free plan, only 3 devices can be connected.

**Official Response from Valeria Di Prisco:**

> Hello Mayank,

Thank you for sharing your experience with TeamViewer.

We’re happy to hear that you find TeamViewer easy to use and reliable for remote desktop connections. It’s great that features like ID-based access, automatic password changes, and secure copy‑paste between devices are working well for you.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding past security concerns and pricing. Security is a top priority for us, and we’re pleased that improvements, such as regularly rotated passwords, have helped address those concerns. Your comments on the free plan and device limits are well noted. Feedback like this helps us better understand how users experience our plans and where we can continue to improve.

Best regards,

Valeria/TeamViewer

  ### 8. Fast, Smooth Remote Access That Makes Helping Friends Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian B. | Unemployed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

I like the ability to be on my friend's computer without having to actually be there. I like the remote ability to log in and do what I need to do to help them. Logging in with the ID and password is easy enough. It fast and smooth. I like the ability to turn the desktop background on or off. Have not used the paid subscription, as I only use the free version.
I also have not needed to use the support part of the software either. And as far as I'm aware, there's no AI / Intelligence in TeamViewer.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Transferring files can be tedious, depending on how many and how large the files are. And if you're using a software like Teams, Zoom, or Battlenet to talk to the person on the other end, it causing an echo making it hard to talk. They don't hear it, but you do.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None known.

**Official Response from Valeria Di Prisco:**

> Hello Adrian,

Thank you so much for your review and for sharing your experience.

Glad to hear TeamViewer makes it easy and smooth for you to help friends remotely.

We understand how frustrating audio echo can be when you’re already using tools like Teams, Zoom, or Battle.net for calls. This usually happens because audio is enabled in both applications.

To avoid this, you can disable audio in TeamViewer by going to Settings → Advanced → Remote Control and turning off “Play computer sounds and music” and Voice over IP, if enabled. That way, you can keep using your preferred app for talking while TeamViewer handles only the remote control, eliminating echo and improving collaboration.

We hope this tip will be helpful in your next connections.

Have a nice day!

Valeria/TeamViewer

  ### 9. Quick Setup with Seamless Remote Access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nehal D. | Lead Analyst, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

I like how quick it is to connect with TeamViewer without needing a complicated setup process. Even nontechnical users can usually join sessions easily, which is great. I find the file transfer and screen sharing features work very smoothly, especially during urgent situations when quick access to reports or systems is needed. The setup has been very smooth, and even nontechnical people can set it up easily without complications.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

One thing that could improve is the licensing or the pricing side, which sometimes feels a bit restrictive for smaller teams. There were also a few occasions where the connection lagged on weaker Internet networks.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TeamViewer for coordinating with offshore teams, connecting quickly without a complicated setup, smooth file transfer and screen sharing, and easy access during urgent situations.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hi Nehal,
Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. We’re glad to hear that TeamViewer is helping you connect quickly with your offshore teams and that features like file transfer and screen sharing are supporting you in urgent situations. Making remote access simple and accessible, even for nontechnical users. It is exactly what we aim for.
We also appreciate your feedback on licensing and performance on weaker networks. This is valuable input as we continue to refine both our pricing structure and connection stability across varying environments.
Thanks again for your insights! They help us keep improving.
Best,
Ying/TeamViewer

  ### 10. Great tool for screen viewing and team remote screen access but need some bug fixes.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh V. | Assoc. Data Science Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2023

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Team Viewer has been easy to use and easy to collaborate to get all the IT issues fixed by the team, remotely gseek and help our colleagues but recently the app has started showing some bugs which I feel the team can improve on.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Recently I have seen, it has become a bit difficult most recently where whenever we are trying to generate a new password. And again sound sharing in some plans is still an issue but not a dealbreaker.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamViewer is helping in getting screen sharing and controlling screens remotely. It is beneficial if the team is working remotely and something is to be viewd. It is also a life saver if you getting remote support from IT team.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hello Ashutosh,
Thank you for sharing the great feedback about TeamViewer and we are thrilled to know that TeamViewer become a powerful tool for remote access connections!
Sometimes, TeamViewer does not support remote control but only screen-sharing with a certain range of devices and operating systems in general. If you are unsure about the compatibility, feel free to visit TeamViewer Community (https://community.teamviewer.com ) for any technical questions. Hope to see you there!
Best,
Ying/TeamViewer
