What do you like best about TaxTrex?

What I like most about TaxTrex is that it brings R&D claim preparation, project management, documentation, and risk assessment together in one platform. The real-time risk assessment is especially useful because it helps us spot potential eligibility or documentation issues while we’re working on the claim, rather than discovering them much later. The structured surveys and activity mapping also make it easier to capture technical information in a consistent, repeatable way. Overall, TaxTrex feels purpose-built for R&D claim documentation, and it has been applied to more than 1,500 R&D tax credit studies per year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TaxTrex?

TaxTrex meets our core requirements well, so we haven’t run into many major issues. That said, the platform includes several features and workflows to learn at the beginning, and a new user may need some time to get comfortable and fully familiar with everything. What problems is TaxTrex solving and how is that benefiting you?

TaxTrex helps us address the challenge of managing R&D tax credit documentation when everything is scattered across disconnected spreadsheets, email threads, and manually maintained records. It provides a centralized workflow for collecting and organizing project information, and it includes real-time diagnostic and risk assessment tools that flag areas that may need attention. As a result, we spend less time on administrative tasks, our documentation is more consistent, and we have clearer visibility into potential claim issues before submission.
