"Automated Unclaimed Property Tracking with Customizable Reporting"

What do you like best about tax.com?

Primarily this is used for tracking property taxes and unclaimed property across many states. It's quite difficult to keep them organized by hand when you are managing more than a handful of properties. Prior to using Tax.com, the Due Diligence Letters and Filings for Unclaimed Property were manual processes and often fell behind and also now a significant portion of that is automatic and the customizable reporting allows us to avoid fighting over the same static report. What do you dislike about tax.com?

Cost is high and if you are a small business you will notice the cost quickly. Setup also took much longer than I had anticipated like over 2 months and before it began working the way I wanted it to and also I am being picky, but frustrating- there seems to be a glitch where if you choose 01/01 for your Fixed Asset Capitalization Date, it thinks the asset was installed in the previous year. Which threw off our numbers until we figured it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is tax.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Customizable reporting is an added feature which is important because each member of my team requires different views of the same financial information and no one likes having to deal with the limitations of a single report style. In addition, the ability to track property taxes for multiple states was a mess prior to using this service and this program provides an organized method to manage the tracking process.
