Not a lot really.  The pricing at first is hard to understand but once you figure it out this is hands down the best SMS out there

I enjoy that we're able to integrate with other platforms which makes crafting and segmenting lists more convenient and manageable.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I wish there were some better ways to report on things - it would be nice to be able to track the number of opened texts or set up a way to reference back to if they took action in the message.

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to contact our members in an entirely new way to encourage conversion rates of event registrants to attendees. We have found that having an additional touchpoint allows us to remind users that we're holding the event and not getting lost in the world of email.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

The Tatango platform is incredibly intuitive and easy-to-use. This has been very valuable to me as I have had to train people on the platform a few times. You don't have to take a lot of time learning a new and complicated platform with Tatango.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I wish some of the integrations with other softwares were a bit easier to access.

**Recommendations to others considering Tatango:**

If you need a ready-to-use broadcast SMS program, Tatango has it all. A lot of other platforms I was looking at had a lot of "extras" that weren't going to be that valuable to my program. Tatango's platform is simple and highly functional if you want to send out a lot of text messages to your list. Their support team is also fantastic and they were willing to answer my questions promptly and enthusiastically — even if that meant jumping on the phone with them.  Highly recommend!

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to get a broadcast SMS program up quickly, and I was able to do that with Tatango's help. Managing texting programs can be hard, but the support from Tatango and accessible software made it as easy as possible. Using Tatango, I was able to communicate with donors, volunteers, and supporters quickly and at a low cost.

Tatango is extremely easy to both learn and use.

I wish it were easy to implement AB testing to different segments of the list. As it stands, you can do only on or the other.

It's great to communicate our lists through multiple digital platforms. With Tatango, we can more easily share rapid-response messages than we would be able to with email.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

I like the interface the best.  It is an easy to use, straightforward platform where you can easily track your schedule of posts (and history), content, and engagement.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

This is not a knock on tatango exactly, but there are some limitations with certain carriers and types of messages that may hinder your campaigns' at certain points.  Be aware that carrier issues do come up from time to time and it may be an obstacle.  It wasn't for our team, thankfully, but be aware of that ahead of time.

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional digital outreach through email and social media is great but we were missing engagements with interested people who we did not have email addresess for or for one reason or another were not following social media.  The direct, and somewhat more intimate contact through SMS is a great way to actually connect with people.  It's an active consumption instead of the passive (reading and scrolling) of email and social media.  Responses were great and I like knowing that the person on the other end cared enough to respond.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

The user interface is very easy to navigate and easy to train new users on. The platform is intuitive and gets the job done. It has allowed my clients to easily reach donors at higher rates than email alone and increase our fundraising potential. Tatango also allows for increased rapid response potential for political clients, not just for fundraising but for rapid communications. Reports are easy to access. The customer service has been very fast and support is quick to alert about issues facing the platform. Of all the various software platforms I use for my job, the customer support at Tatango is top notch.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

The thing I dislike most is needing a separate email address for every organization or candidate I use tatango for. While this might not be a problem for many, as a digital consultant with multiple clients it gets difficult to have enough email aliases. It is also sometimes difficult to find admin features, however actually loading and sending texts is easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Tatango:**

If you are using tatango for multiple clients, then make sure you have enough email aliases. But otherwise, Tatango's features are great and meet all my needs. I have not used, or been in charge of sourcing other texting platforms, but Tatango has been great and I do recommend it to others.

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email opens are down as more and more people get in the game. Text allows us to reach more donors and get higher open rights and maximize our fundraising potential. We've seen fantastic ROI and increased the reach of our clients. It has allowed our candidates and organizations to increase their budgets and electoral work.

I wish there were more options to segment and split groups into test groups. I also wish there were a way to search by names of each text.

I think my biggest problem is the number of segmenting options. A benefit is the team is always very responsive.

I love how simple of a platform Tatango is to use! Very user-friendly interface and the onboarding process was very robust and supportive for new users.

I think more capabilities for donor personalization would improve the tool even further.

We're raising a ton of revenue via SMS and MMS messages! We've seen great ROI while using this tool.

We like that we can engage and reach our members quickly with new information. The reports have been very helpful in figuring out subscriber errors. Overall it's a very user friendly tool to use for communicating to a large audience quickly. The customer service has also been very helpful whenever I had questions.

The UX feels a bit outdated and I wish we could collect data outside of the opt-in series.

Great service overall! Expect delays at inconvenient times around major political events and end of month deadlines, but they are communicative in real time about these issues. Otherwise love!

It's relatively easy to use and self-explanatory once you become familiar with the interface.

The reporting tools are almost non-existent and not helpful in the way we need them to be to glean results. There's no report we can download to be able to see the top-level numbers of our program.

A different way to reach our audience to get them to donate.

The most distinguishing feature about Tatango is to create campaigns and setup automated text campaign features

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

The API features are limited, for ex bulk messaging on a 1:1 basis is not there (not supported), only mass messaging is allowed.

Biggest problem we are trying to solve is trigger based text messaging, as soon a criteria is met in the database it should trigger a message

This app is really user friendly. It's so easy to copy and paste text and there are pre-filled options for names, emails, cities, and zips that make keeping track of our consumer's information easier. In a world where more and more consumers are becoming more active via text messaging, this site definitely provides the tools needed for marketers to reach their audiences by segmenting specific groups.  This site also makes syncing from platform to platform a breeze. Would highly recommend to others.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

The only thing is that the scheduling tool automatically sets to the next day rather than the present day.

**Recommendations to others considering Tatango:**

It may be pricey, but it definitely does give a major return for clients, especially those who are eager to reimagine their marketing strategies to audiences that prefer texting rather than email

With Tatango, we're able to send blasts to our audiences in ways that are digestible. This has given us a huge return in engagement, reduced list turnover, and increased revenue.

The time and details that Alexis and Hanna have taken to help me stay in compliance.

The fact that 2 factor authentication has to be explained, but I understand why, not everyone may have the same thoughts on security.

The texting is the main reason i chose Tatango. I dont see any problems.

Derek is a great resource for us as he is incredibly knowledgeable regarding SMS/MMS messaging. short codes, long codes, etc.

They are a little more expensive than other competitors.

We needed a partner for SMS messaging and they were able to get us up quickly and keep us compliant with all the TCPA rules.

The best feature on Tatango is the ease of pulling reports, specifically the number of recipients after sending several SMS messages to large amounts of people.

One feature I dislike is that it takes a long time for the reports and numbers to load.

Allow for some time before pulling reports. It may take some time to load.

Tatango is simple to use and easy to teach others to use. I like the new password requirements before sending, which have made it harder to accidentally send to a larger universe than intended. The security is also strong.

I wish that the API was more sophisticated and made it possible to exclude recent donors from new text messages. Text messages are sometimes delayed, which is a carrier issue.
