**What do you like best about Tatango?**

The support team at Tatango is exceptional – always prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. They’ve been invaluable in helping us optimize our campaigns and achieve outstanding results.

While we initially felt misled about the capabilities of the NXT interface, the Tatango team quickly made up for it with their outstanding customer service.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

I love that Tatango is a very user-friendly platform. Many functionalities are available to support segmentation, conduct A/B tests, and various other tools that are needed in order to create a robust texting program. The team at Tatango is also very knowledgeable and has been great to work with. Whenever there is an issue or question, they are ready to help!

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I honestly cannot think of many things that I dislike about Tatango. The only recommendation I would make, or something that would make my team's life a bit easier, would be adding some sort of Tatango subscriber ID. Having a Tatango-specific subscriber ID would be helpful when comparing reports or discussing the particular experiences of subscribers without disclosing personal information about the subscriber.

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tatango and its functionality have helped my organization create a comprehensive text message program. With the use of MMS messaging and a variety of other tools available on the platform, we have cultivated and stewarded our subscriber file in ways that we could not do with our old texting platform. As a result, we have seen great results with overall fundraising efforts and are excited to continue growing our program.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

The Tatango team has been incredible to work with. They have been very supportive through the entire process - from initial onboarding, to compliance, and even working with us to improve our campaigns. The platform is easy to use and relatively intuitive. Any time we have questions or issues we use the chat feature and one of the team gets in touch very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

Right now there is not a native integration with either Engaging Networks or Raiser's Edge NXT, so we are having to manually import our new subscribers. However, I know the team is working on a NXT integration, and we are excited to see that coming soon!

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tatango is helping us to steward our donors and allows us to send them up-to-date information on the impact of their gifts. It also allows us to reach out to subscribers ASAP when we are responding to a disaster or crisis.

Siple layout.

Easy to navigate.

Quick responses from the support team.

Quick fixes when a problem arises.

Never any massive sending errors.

Easy to copy and paste text copy from word file.

Importing and updating large lists is easy.

Easy to export data.

The interface while setting up a text's copy can be buggy.

Specific segment creation can be tedious, namely because it only allows for "all / any" options.

Difficult to work around image, video, and gif size limits.

Changing specific donor / recipient info is difficult.

Tatango lets us communicate with people who want to participate in giving more frequently than they receive mail, but who also don't sit down to check emails all the time.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Tatango's customer service. They were incredibly helpful and friendly from the get-go, answering all my questions with patience and expertise. What stood out the most was their genuine commitment to making sure I was happy with the outcome. They kept me updated every step of the way, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Tatango has definitely earned my trust and loyalty with their exceptional service. Highly recommended!

I wish I did not have to have the two-step authentication. I wish that were an option not to have this.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

Tatango has an easy to use interface, and it's quick to onboard new users. Additoinally, it has good reporting capabilities. The support team has always been highly responsive and quick to reach out proactively when there are platform-wide tech issues (which is rare). Best of all, the flat cost-per-message pricing structure makes it ideal for a growing program - we are able to maintain high ROI as we scale up, whereas other vendors we scoped had high overage costs if you exceeded your monthly message limit.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

The only downside I can think of is it seems like deliverability could be stronger/Tatango could have better reporting and support on deliverability concerns. But I realize SMS deliverability is a fast-evolving landscape and there's not a lot of insight into what the carriers treat as spam.

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's providing the platform we need to send SMS marketing communications, which make up a significant portion of our overall marketing revenue.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

I find the platform to be extremely user-friendly. The dashboard is clear and displays where you can find messages, lists, reports, billing, usage, and subscribers. 

They also support features like individual link-tracking, which not all other broadcast texting platforms have.

The team is also great to work with and diligent at answering questions.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

While I love Tatango, I think certain things like the responses to messages can be improved. I've already brought this up before, but I'd like to see the exclusion of automated replies to contacts who reply to our texts. 

I think having an autoreply response to every respondent message can come off too spam-like and I want to minimize that in a time when people get too many political texts to begin with.

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are constantly improving with product updates and that certainly helps us as users of the platform for clients who have a heavy texting load. From anything as small as adding new merge tags to their recent AI-powered message refinement, they're always looking at ways to improve efficiency.

The team is incredibly supportive an responsive to suggestions. The interface is easy to use, it is easy to schedule messages and it is easy to pull reports.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

The operators limit some of the segmentation. some and/or functionality would be great.
Invoicing has been a bit of a challenge but it has improved.

Tatango helps us reach our supporters at scale in a channel they perfer. It allows us to easily (most of the time) reach out to different segments to deliver the appropriate message.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

I absolutley loved that tatango gets my messages out fast and to a mass number of people. I work for an organziation that has a large number of high school student workers. Using Tatango to get information out was a game changer for my group. Most students do not check their emails however they did check their text messages when we used this service. I also loved that I could schedule send a message out and they get it when needed.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

The only downside of this service is that we do not get notified if people reply to the message in real time. I have to remember to check the website to see if anyone replied. However I would still recommend this service to anyone who needs to get information out to a mass group of people!

The problem that Tatango is solving is getting information out to a mass group of people in real time. By using this service I am able to send one message out to over 200 people at once.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

Tatango has a really intuitive texting feature which allows you to use rich formatting. Other servicers sometimes require a lot of coding or limited functions for how your texts can appear.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

Some campaigns need to be monitored or else they will continue to send, resulting in spending overbudget. It's not a big issue if you factor that in but is still a significant thing to note given other texting servicers provide more stopgaps to prevent this from happening. I'd almost appreciate some kind of Robinhood (finance app) functionality where it could, for instance, stop sending if there have been no clicks to any links in the text after 5 minutes of sending, or no donations after 20 minutes of sending.

**What problems is Tatango solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tatango is allowing us to offer texting services to our clients which sometimes perform better than our email program despite needing much less effort. This attracts more clients and brings more of their digital fundraising into our orbit.

Tatango's onboarding and service is second to none. It is personal, direct, and comes with a ton of ongoing resources to keep you going, from templates to sample texts, campaign ideas, and more!

It can feel expensive at first, but diligent use and growth makes it easy to receive a return on investment. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you're committed, it can work for you.

One of the biggest differentiators for Tatango is its cost per message, both for SMS and MMS. The platform provides pretty good insights in terms of message performance. The sales and customer support teams have always been a pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I would like for the user interface to be organized in a better way that allows for phone numbers to be universally opted out, rather than relying on an integration to update contact information. The invoicing on the back end can also make it tricky to track spending by campaign.

Tatango allows our organization to quickly reach potential advocates, event attendees, or donors with much higher engagement rates than traditional email marketing.

Tatango has integrated seamlessly with our various campaigns, and their team has been a joy to work with. Any time we have a question, we receive a quick answer and solution. They are also constantly innovating on their capabilities. We went from zero text subscribers to over 5,000 in less than two years.

The only thing that I wish it could do is actually embed a video in a text message.

The customer service at Tatango has been so strong - from the quick responses to the out-of-their-way support, our team has appreciated the hands-on support!

I'd like to see some of the features improve like being able to better segment sends - but I do feel this has been heard and acknowledged by support, which is great!

The user platform is not super intuitive and reports are not very clear - we aren't able to pull a ton of quick analytics.

I think link tracking, the ease of upload for images and unicode has been great.

It's buggy sometimes. Texts get lost and sometimes it's a bit glitchy with images.

Link tracking has been great. I'm not sure I am trying to solve any problems with it since it was being used when I came on the job, but definitely have benefitted from it's existence.

It's fine. Send speeds are usually pretty good, especially for SMS messages but can be slower on MMS messages to larger audiences. It's easy-ish to use and figure out.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I would personally prefer a platform that's Dem-owned instead of one that works with Republicans. Updates tend to take a while to roll out too.

I use Tatango for digital political fundraising. It helps us raise money.

I've worked with Tatango direct to consumer and from an agency perspective, managing programs for clients. 

Their staff has always been immensely helpful in trouble shooting and helping us follow best practices. Highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

There are some limited capabilities around large scale testing and dynamic programs -- I'd also love to see them incorporate with more political softwares as they grow and scale -- they are also costly for clients

It is allowing us to send blast texts for clients -- for larger programs it's a helpful product for us to offer and we see good ROI once a program is launched for clients

With a lot of employees, it's easy to communicate changes within the company.

Tatango can only be used on a desktop at the moment which can be incovenient when making last minute changes that need to be communicated.

When it comes to sending text messages, Tatango is the best. From training, onboarding, and building campaigns, they are willing to share their expertise every step of the way. They are even wiling to edit and format videos for MMS. I couldn't be more impressed, and our subscribers enjoy using the platform too.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

Nothing about the service! The platform is great, but the rules on disclaimers and opt-ing in are very strict. I know that's from the cellphone companies' rules, not Tatango.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

For fundraising, really good to send mass texts and imports data easily from spreadsheets. The message preview function has always done a good job showing uploaders exactly how their message will be sent to their customers. So far, when I use that easy feature that lets me send a message to myself, I have not seen a difference or discrepancy between the message preview and the actual message on my phone.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I don't like how Tatango charges clients SMS rates for three or more messages. Just me being finnicky I suppose. It makes more sense (and ends up costing less) for our clients to end up  sending an MMS instead of sending an SMS. But they do not even use the MMS features like images or emojis. So I don't know how fair it is exactly, in terms of cost when we consider what features our clients are paying for when we use Tatango for them. Also, sometimes the message feature can just cover too much or be it too distracting while I am trying to edit and upload my messages.

Definitely recommend for anyone looking to get their message across by directly sending a message to their target audience

During this pandemic, we have been unable to meet in-person with constituents, clients, and other members of our audience. There are so many things to love about Tatango! For one, the reports are comprehensive and easy to use. Our subscribers are easy to track. Sending a message is as simple as texting a friend. I also love how they are constantly improving. I receive emails frequently with an update that makes using their service even easier!

The only downside is the cost. We used to use a service that was free to send messages with. We simply paid a fixed fee per month. But besides that, for what we do and the simplicity of Tatango, it's worth it!

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

How quickly you can launch a message and how easy it is to edit and schedule blasts. We also love the cost - Tatango makes it really affordable to send SMS and especially MMS and has low start-up costs compared with other competitors. Their support team is also A+ (much more responsive than competitors). We also love their design team who is able to help design or resize graphics at no cost.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I dislike that it is lacking many features of competitors, like the call-to-connect tool and conversation threading abilities that Upland/Mobile Commons has. There also is a lot to be desired with segmentation - for instance there is no way to group previous clickers into static or dynamic groups. I see that Tatango is always adding new features and I know many of these things are on their list.

Tatango helps us send blast messages fast, which can be a major problem with competitors. It also is much more affordable than competitors who lock you in to expensive annual contracts.

The side-to-side view of the text message as you create the message is really helpful. Also, the new addition of being able to send emails at specific times by the minute has really been a game-changer.

I do wish that there was a way to switch between different accounts more easily or at least be able to make the homepage for each account be different. I have multiple Tatango accounts that I need to switch through, and I sometimes get confused on which account I am on. Also, it is a bit cumbersome to log out and log in for each account.

Loading texts and sending them at specific times are problems that Tatango has helped solve. Again, the side-to-side view of the preview of the text and the loading box has helped me make less grammatical mistakes.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

The user experience is really intuitive. Once you've walked through the software once, it's pretty simple to find what you need going forward, and the onboarding process ensures that you're set up for success. When I have run into questions, support has been very responsive in answering questions. 

Overall, communication has been outstanding. Throughout the carrier approval process, the team was communicative about where things stood and steps we could take in the interim in order to start from a good place.

The team is also proactive in providing tips to build a successful blast SMS program from the ground up, from formatting options and best practices to tactical input to list-building ideas. 

The integration with ActBlue is seamless, easy to set up, and a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I haven't experienced any problems. I'm anxiously awaiting the completion of an integration between Tatango and NGP Digital 8, which would definitely improve the experience. I think it could also be easier to pull reporting on certain subscriber attributes (e.g. opt-in keywords). On occasion, reporting metrics can be a bit buggy, but when they've gotten stuck for an extended period, support has been quick to address it.

Really love how quick and responsive the Tatango support team is. Getting started and troubleshooting issues is a breeze.

Fairly frequent technical issues. Tatango is always proactive in fixing issues, but often have big delays. Also, the targeting functions are pretty rudimentary. We'd love to be able to do more complex targeting with ease but everything targeting wise is a bit of a chore.

Problems: Long approval time for short codes, a few issues with little bugs that put accounts out of commission, issues with send times. Benefits: When it works, it works well. Very easy to use and send messages to our list. Easy to upload new subscribers and get reports on each message.

**What do you like best about Tatango?**

Tatango's interface is very easy to learn, which makes it great for a workplace like ours where individuals are often shifting between teams and clients and we do a lot of training on the fly. The interface is very straightforward and intuitive. Some of the platforms we use in our work routinely have issues or service disruptions, but Tatango has barely every (I literally can't think of a time) caused any issues for us.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

Some of the search features aren't optimized for the way we organize our work. For instance, you can't search by a fragment of a mailing name. However, the search features have improved GREATLY over the past year, and it's much less of an issue now. I gave feedback about search issues to the Tatango team around October of 2020, and we saw improvement within months. So the responsiveness was great, and I trust they'll continue improving.

Tatango allows us to expand the reach of our clients' fundraising programs by incorporating texting. This allows us to give clients another option to add lift to their fundraising totals at a fraction of the cost of some other outreach options. I like the user-friendly interface, which allows us to maximize productivity within our team. I also like the simple analytic tools, which give us the opportunity to understand what is and isn't working for our client. Finally, I really appreciate the ultra-responsive customer service representatives. A few months ago, I was having trouble with send times and one of their helpful representatives video chatted me to quickly solve the problem.

**What do you dislike about Tatango?**

I wish there was a way to draft texts when there aren't credits in the account, as we rely on the client to add funds. We've also had some issues in the past with texts being sent on time, but those have since been fixed. Additionally, although the interface is relatively simple and user-friendly, it's a bit outdated. Finally, the default schedule time for texts is always one day ahead, which leaves more room for user error in my experience.

I have used a couple other texting programs and Tatango is by far the best in my experience, if only for the stellar customer service team. If you value responsiveness, efficiency, and reliability, Tatango is the platform for you.
