What do you like best about Takeoff Web Design and SEO?

What really stood out was that Takeoff treats SEO as part of the core redesign, not something you add on later. Every other agency we talked to had SEO as this separate line item, but Takeoff was like "no, this has to be built in from day one or it won't work." And they were right.

Our situation was complex. In 2021, FiscalNote acquired 12 companies in a short time period, and we were consolidating multiple product brands (PolicyNote, VoterVoice, CQ, Roll Call, FrontierView) into one cohesive experience on Craft CMS. Takeoff's team understood both the technical platform requirements and the strategic challenge of creating clear pathways for our diverse audiences—from corporate affairs professionals to advocacy organizations to congressional offices.

The results have been fantastic. Within just over a month of launch, we're seeing our product pages get way more traffic, up 128% from last year, and keywords we weren't even ranking for before are now in the top 4. Our site health score went from pretty rough to really solid. But what matters most is that we're actually getting more demo requests from organic search, which is the whole point. What do you dislike about Takeoff Web Design and SEO?

What problems is Takeoff Web Design and SEO solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had three big issues. First, our blog traffic was down 59% year-over-year because AI search results were just answering those top-of-funnel questions directly. We needed to completely rethink our content strategy and focus on content that would actually drive leads. Second, our website was structured for the big, sprawling company we used to be, not the focused company we'd become after divesting a bunch of products. The navigation was confusing and didn't match how people actually thought about our solutions. Third, we weren't converting traffic well. We were relying way too much on our sales team doing outbound instead of the website doing its job.

Takeoff fixed all of it. They rebuilt the whole site structure around what users actually need. They also did a massive technical cleanup (we had over 500 orphaned pages that needed fixing). The difference is real: we're getting 3x more demos from our product pages now, and the site actually supports our marketing instead of being this thing we have to work around.

The other benefit is that we're now working with them on ongoing SEO support through their fractional Director of SEO model. We're a lean team and we needed senior SEO expertise but couldn't justify a full-time hire. This model is perfect for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
