What do you like best about Synthesia?

My favorite feature in Synthesia is the AI Avatar, and also i can create high-quality videos quickly from a simple script. I also like the new features such as Sessions, Avatar Builder, and Developer Tools. Synthesia's commitment to continuously adding new capabilities is what I value most. What do you dislike about Synthesia?

What I dislike most about Synthesia is the limited tracking and control available in some interactive experiences.

When using Interactives, learners cannot easily identify which tabs or sections they have already completed and which ones are still pending. Unlike Storyline, there are no clear visited/completed states to help learners track their progress within an interaction.

Another challenge is with AI-generated footage. The maximum footage length is typically limited to around 8 seconds, which can be restrictive. Sometimes my narration is longer than the footage duration, causing the visual to end before the narration is complete. This can create a mismatch between the audio and the on-screen content and requires additional editing or scene splitting.

Overall, while I appreciate Synthesia's ease of use and innovation, I would like to see better interactive state tracking and more flexibility in AI footage duration to improve the learning experience and video production workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Synthesia solving and how is that benefiting you?

Synthesia is solving many of the common challenges involved in video-based learning content creation, especially around time, cost, and scalability.

For me, the biggest benefit is that I can create professional training videos within minutes using a simple script, without needing a camera, studio, voice-over recording, or video editing expertise. This significantly reduces development time and allows me to focus more on instructional design and content quality.

Fast video production, enabling quick updates whenever training content changes.

Multilingual capabilities, making it easier to create content for different audiences.

New features and continuous innovation, such as Sessions, Avatar Builder, and Developer tools, which expand what's possible for content creators.

Reduced production costs, since there is no need for professional video equipment, actors, or recording sessions.
