I'm also frustrated with customer service because I was charged one day after my trial ended, and they refused to refund the charges. Switching to Sync.com from Dropbox was difficult. Misleading Trial Experience, No Integrations, No Flexibility I signed up for Sync.com expecting a competitive alternative to Dropbox or Box. What I got was an outdated product with modern pricing and zero flexibility. There are no native integrations with the tools businesses actually use today. No CRM integrations, no automation support, no meaningful ecosystem. Yet pricing is on par with Dropbox, Box, and other platforms that actually invest in integrations and workflows. The bigger issue is billing ethics. I was charged one day after the trial ended, immediately reached out, and was told a refund was not possible. No grace period. No consideration. Just a hard no. For a company positioning itself as business-ready, this is a poor look. If you are confident in your product, you should not need to rely on rigid trial cutoffs and refusal to refund a brand-new charge. If you need integrations, automation, or reasonable customer treatment, look elsewhere. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Sync.com for syncing with Synology, but it has very limited integrations despite claiming unlimited support. ### 2. It only costs about half or less as much as our previous product. ### 3. The support was slow and absolutely unhelpful. I have a paid plan and accidentally noticed that about 50 of my files disappeared from the storage without any notice. According to their own logs, my files should be still in storage but they are obviously not. I checked their servers' status page, and no downs or errors were mentioned there. I contacted their support and provided all the needed information for the investigation and only after 7 weeks of communication by email, they just say that the files can't be restored and that is not the kind of user experience they want to provide. And that is all! No excuses, no explanation, no any kind of compensation or refund. They present themselves as reliable cloud file storage, but they can't do the only thing that you want them to do. I hardly can imagine such a situation with even old-style website hosting providers. Don't trust this service! If my memory serves me right I think I first heard about Sync.com in 2015. At first, I did not think Sync.com was such a big thing. It was only after I realized Encryption and its importance that I realized how good Sync.com is. Since then I've kept all the very important bank information and most important things related to our Business Website at Sync.com. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** To be honest, Sync.com's mobile application is not enough. Sometimes Automatic Backup does not work at all. Not enough Desktop Syncing is very slow. Probably because Sync encrypts all the files. In any case, they should pay more attention to their mobile application. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** If online privacy is a serious concern for your business, you should use Sync and I'm sure you will love it. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Even though we are a small team we have a lot of important things to keep as documents about the business. We do not think it's safe to store it on a hard drive. We were not content to simply store such important files in any online cloud storage. So I decided to put it in Sync. Now everything is safe. ### 6. You can elect to share entire folders to single documents, and I feel confident with end-to-end encryption that documents are secure. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** There are no major drawbacks compared to a system like dropbox. It's designed to keep data safe from hackers. It encrypts your file with a cipher which no one can unlock. It is basically built around for security purpose. You can use various varification methods to keep your data safe. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** Few things that I am not sure could be useful. It sometimes makes hard for us to sync including the 3rd party like google. It is less useful as a team collaboration. Drag and drop can't be done in it. In order to choose and a file and move we have go through a menu. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** It would say atleast they can introduce drag and drop feature and benefits as I already mentioned it guarantees full security of data what I most like about it is it has 2 factor verification process. There is version history in case a file is written over, I can go back and restore a previous file. I like how links can be password protected and you can specify who has access to what folder. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** I do not like how two people can work on one file at the same time and it creates two different versions (vs. collaborating in real time or locking the other person out until finished). This creates the headache of trying to figure out what changes were made on what document. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** It's a great tool for the price compared to the other file storage tools with all the bells and whistles. What it lacks it makes up for in price. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using it for file storage and sharing. We are able to have the company internally work on documents and have them be stored in one place. We can also send our clients password protected files. ### 9. No conflicts with files. It works like a real file server. It even saves previous file versions. Very secure with 2FA authentication. Great desktop and android app. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** Not much. The desktop app may need a little work on UI, but it works perfectly. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cloud server that works.
