As Global HRIS & Talent‑Management Systems Evaluator, I run interviews, vendor demo sessions and cross-subsidiary HR working meetings with team members across multiple countries, and Sylaps’s browser-native meeting access paired with its straightforward account management panel saves me hours each week coordinating global talent interviews and HRIS vendor discovery calls. I regularly use the account dashboard, meeting creation, contact management and linked account integrations shown in the account settings screenshot to streamline our international HR workflows.
Our HR technology team conducts candidate interviews for remote US roles, holds demo sessions with HRIS vendors like Elmo Software, and runs recurring sync meetings with our overseas subsidiary HR teams. Many of our global stakeholders are not allowed to download desktop video conferencing applications due to strict corporate device security policies. Sylaps requires no software installation; participants can join meetings directly from a web browser. Last month, I hosted a series of panel interviews for a senior global HR analyst role with stakeholders based in three different countries. I created new meetings directly inside Sylaps, shared simple meeting links, and every participant joined instantly without downloading clients or fighting through app installation permissions. The push notification feature on the account page alerts me for incoming meeting invites and in-meeting messages, so I never miss time-sensitive interview requests even when I am working in our HRIS configuration environment.
I heavily rely on Sylaps’s native linked account integrations with Microsoft, Google and Slack. I connect my work Microsoft account so my calendar automatically populates meeting times, and the Slack integration sends meeting reminders to our internal HR tech channel. This removes the manual step of copying meeting links into our team communications every time I schedule an HR vendor demo or cross-border talent interview. The account panel also lets me manage my profile, update personal data consent settings, and delete my account entirely in one click, which is a huge plus for CCPA compliance. When I finish interviewing external candidates or vendors, I can review what personal data Sylaps stores and manage consent preferences easily.
One unexpected benefit I uncovered after rolling out Sylaps is its simplified data consent toggle on the account settings page. Since we handle candidate personal data subject to CCPA, it is critical that every external participant can review and opt out of newsletter and personal data storage with a simple switch. This built-in consent control reduces the extra legal documentation I normally need to send out to interviewees before our video sessions. New candidates can toggle their data preferences on their own Sylaps account, so our HR team spends less time distributing and tracking separate privacy consent forms for video meeting participants.
Suggestions for improvement: I would like to see expanded audit logging for meeting participant activity and built-in meeting transcription that can be exported for HR interview documentation. Adding SSO support for our corporate identity provider would also make onboarding hundreds of internal subsidiary users much easier.
Sylaps does not replace our Elmo HRIS for talent records and compliance document management, but it serves as our primary browser-based video meeting hub for global HR interviews and vendor evaluations. It eliminates software download barriers for international stakeholders, integrates smoothly with our existing Microsoft and Slack ecosystem, and provides built-in consent controls to support our CCPA requirements for candidate personal data. It cuts down meeting coordination friction for cross-border HR sessions and gives our team a lightweight, secure video tool for our global talent and HRIS evaluation projects. While Sylaps delivers convenient browser-based video meetings for our cross-border HR interviews and vendor demos, the absence of enterprise SSO, limited meeting audit logging, and weak participant access governance create operational friction and CCPA compliance risks for our global HRIS evaluation and talent recruitment work. These gaps force manual workarounds and add overhead when documenting interviews with job candidates and international subsidiary stakeholders.
The biggest pain point is there is no native enterprise SSO integration for our corporate identity provider. Our company has cross-border subsidiaries, and we onboard dozens of internal HR team members and interview panelists across regions every quarter. Each user must create a standalone Sylaps account, manually set a password, and link their Microsoft or Google accounts individually using the linked accounts section on the account settings page. Last month, we rolled out Sylaps for a global recruitment campaign for seven senior talent roles. I had to walk twelve internal panelists through manual account creation, password setup, and profile configuration one by one. Two team members forgot their self-created passwords ahead of scheduled candidate interviews, which delayed the start of two panel sessions and created a poor experience for our applicants. Without SSO, I also cannot centrally deactivate accounts when internal HR staff leave the company. I have to send former employees instructions to manually delete their accounts using the “Delete my account” button on their profile page, which leaves uncertainty about whether sensitive interview meeting data has been fully removed, conflicting with our CCPA data retention obligations.
Sylaps also does not offer comprehensive audit logs for meeting activity. When we conduct candidate interviews, we need immutable records showing who joined each session, when they entered and exited, and who accessed meeting recordings, for EEOC and CCPA compliance reviews. Sylaps only keeps basic past meeting timestamps, with no granular participant activity tracking. During our last internal compliance audit, our legal team requested a full log of everyone who attended a series of executive candidate interviews. I could only pull a simple list of meeting names and dates, with no way to prove who joined each session, creating a gap in our HR audit documentation.
The platform also lacks role-based access controls for shared meeting workspaces. All users who create accounts have identical permissions, so I cannot create restricted guest accounts for external candidates or vendors that limit their ability to download meeting recordings or access our contact list. External interview participants have full access to their own account settings, which increases the risk of unauthorized sharing of interview recordings containing sensitive candidate personal information.
Suggestions for improvement: Add enterprise SSO integration to automate user provisioning and offboarding for global teams. Build detailed meeting audit logs that capture participant join/leave timestamps and recording access events. Introduce granular role permissions to create limited guest accounts for candidates and vendors. Add centralized admin controls so HR admins can initiate account deletion instead of relying on end users to manually delete their own accounts.
Sylaps will never replace our Elmo HRIS for talent records, performance tracking and compliance document management. For individual ad-hoc browser meetings it works fine, but for global HR teams running regulated candidate interviews across subsidiaries, these missing enterprise controls create extra admin work and compliance exposure. The manual account management and incomplete audit trails slow down our HRIS evaluation and talent recruitment workflows and make privacy audits far more complex.
