It integrates with QBO and Xero, and the pricing is good for accounting firms. They make good use of AI and adopt new technology quickly. There are also a lot of software updates, which helps keep things improving. **What do you dislike about Syft?** The mapping and overall layout can take some time to set up. Reporting isn’t always as flexible as I’d like—for example, the cash flow statement can’t be changed. **What problems is Syft solving and how is that benefiting you?** It’s a great way for clients to see their financial performance, and it saves us time when preparing reports. ### 2. We set up custom equations like gross profit, operating msargin, gros margin, EBITDA, and more. We also create KPIs to track whether our business financial performance is on the right track, comparing our actuals with both the budget we uploaded into Syft and our forecasts. Additionally, we use other modules and features such as ledgers, P&L builder, cash manager, dashboard visualizations, and the connection module for uploading non-financial data. ### 3. I had some very specific needs in regards to altering reports and their response was swift, kind, empathic, and extremely helpful. I use Syft to visually speak to our entire company at once, many of which have no financial backgrounds. The beautiful charts and ease of creating the reports to tell a story through those charts have been a game changer for our team to be able to understand what I'm talking about. We use Xero and implementation was seemless, I didn't have to do any heavy lifting to get started, only connect the 2 accounts. **What do you dislike about Syft?** I have yet to come across anything I don't like, but I am aware that they are constantly working behind the scenes to offer more to its customers. **What problems is Syft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syft is allowing me (a CFO equivalent) to be able to have financial conversations with all members of our company, including new hires, who do not have any financial background or prior knowledge of business finances. The reports and charts allow me to paint a picture that can easily be understood by everyone in our company in all departments. ### 4. It integrates with multiple platforms, making it useful for accountants, bookkeepers and most importantly, clients. The simple FP&A activities, now layered with AI, provide outstanding analytics saving time, money and adding thought processes from multilple vantage points. The implementation is fast and easy and the product support and customer experience are bar none. Courtney is my customer experience manager and she is amazing. There has never been a question posed that she has not been able to solution for me. I use Syft daily and cannot imagine running my practice without it. **What do you dislike about Syft?** The API is not extensive and there are some reporting formats that excel can perform for drilled down custom analytics that Syft cannot do. However, it is still an amazing platform and I'd highly recommend it. **What problems is Syft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Layered on top of my clients' accounting systems, Syft allows for easy professionally looking FP&A that can be auto scheduled and generate tons of insights saving me time, money and allowing me to focus my deep thinking on other activities. ### 5. It has greatly reduced the amount of time I spent developing and distributing monthly financials. **What do you dislike about Syft?** We've had some issues getting the budget forcasting to sync, but I will say that the customer support team is very available to help walk you through it, you just have to carve out the time. **What problems is Syft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syft automatically updates monthly and the reports are available to my finance team in real time whenever they want them. ### 7. I've found great use in Syft's ability to both segment & combine data. Segmentation has been great for allowing department heads to view their departments financials/budget while blocking their access to the spend of other departments. Combining entities has been great for business owners with multiple entities looking to see the full picture of their business performance. **What do you dislike about Syft?** Syft has so many features, there is certainly a learning curve. Their training and knowledge library is incredibly helpful though **What problems is Syft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syft can undertake more complex reporting that Xero can out of the box. The customisable mappings - as an example - enable users to create layouts that enable individual entities (underlying a consolidated group) to benefit from a universal report layout. This both simplifies managerial reviews and reduces the administrative burden of recreating the "master report template" in each underlying entity's accounting software. Additionally, Syft's friendly customer support is always just a click away :) **What do you dislike about Syft?** To fully unlock Syft's potential, users who do not come from a strong auditing background may require some time to become "platform proficient". **What problems is Syft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syft has increased cliet-facing data visibility, without the need for "custom developed" Business Intelligence reporting. ### 9. I think a 24 hours sync of all data is a bit too late and to have to pay for anything else for an auto update should be eased up a little, maybe auto update every 18-20 hours? **What problems is Syft solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is helping me with reporting features that I would have to do on Excel manually otherwise ### 10. Its user-friendly interface and powerful features make reporting efficient and accurate. The excellent customer service, with knowledgeable and responsive support, further enhances the experience. Highly recommended for improving financial reporting efficiency. **What do you dislike about Syft?** The only downside to using syft is its integration with QuickBooks Desktop. It is a little clunky (not a big issue since QB Desktop is on its way out anyway).
