What do you like best about Supabase?

Honestly, the best bit is how fast you can get a proper database up and running. I mostly use it as the main database for my projects and it took minutes to set up instead of days. The dashboard is simple enough that I can look at my tables, add or fix a row, and run a quick search without writing much code, which saves me a ton of time. I also like that the basics I usually need later, like logins and file storage, are already sitting there in the same place, so I am not stitching together five different tools. The free plan is generous enough to actually build something real on, and it has been reliable, I have not had it fall over on me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Supabase?

The main thing is help when you are stuck. On the free plan you are pretty much on your own, so it is the community forum, Discord and Google until someone happens to answer. When something breaks and you cannot figure out why, waiting around like that is frustrating, and paying just to be able to ask a question feels like a lot for a smaller project. Even something like a slow email reply for free users would make a big difference. Other than that I do not have much to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Supabase solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before this I was spending way too much time just getting the boring plumbing in place for every project, a database somewhere, a login system, a place to keep uploaded files. It was slow and I would put off starting things because of it. Supabase gives me all of that on day one, so I can go straight to building the actual thing people will use. Being able to open the dashboard and check or fix data myself, instead of writing a script every time I need to look something up, has saved me hours.
