## Sumo Logic Reviews
  ### 1. Centralized Logging with Intuitive Dashboards

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudarshan B. | System Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I use Sumo Logic as a centralized logging and monitoring platform, which offers powerful search capabilities and makes it easy to correlate logs from different systems. The platform is intuitive for troubleshooting and provides flexible dashboards and alerting. The log search feature is very powerful, with a flexible and fast search language that makes filtering easy. The centralized log aggregation eliminates the need to switch between tools and speeds up root cause analysis. I also appreciate the custom dashboards that provide real-time visibility and the straightforward, easy initial setup.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Pricing can become expensive as our volume grows, and the query language has a learning curve for new users. Improved dashboard customization and more guided onboarding would also enhance the overall experience.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sumo Logic centralizes logs for quick issue identification and provides operational visibility. It offers powerful search, easy correlation, and flexible dashboards for real-time monitoring and alerts.

  ### 2. AI Activity Monitoring That Makes Auditing and Debugging Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal S. | AI Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

What stood out to me most was the AI activity monitoring. I can now see exactly who's doing what with Claude, user logins, admin actions, API key creation, all in one place. For an AI engineer, that kind of audit trail is genuinely useful, not just for compliance teams but for debugging access issues and tracking how developers are interacting with the platform

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The detection rules are solid for standard compliance scenarios, but as someone building AI-heavy workflows, I'd love more customization options specific to model-level events, not just admin and workspace changes

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an AI engineer, one of the biggest challenges I faced was the lack of centralized visibility into our Claude usage across the organization. When we started scaling AI adoption, our security and compliance teams had no way to track who was accessing Claude, what admin actions were being taken, or how API keys were being managed, it was essentially a blind spot in our stack.

  ### 3. Cuts Alert Fatigue with Clear Summaries, but Data Source Onboarding Feels Clunky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** amol a. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

As a software engineer, what I like best is that Dojo AI actually reduces alert fatigue in a meaningful way. The Summary Agent gives my team a clean, readable explanation of what triggered each Insight, instead of everyone digging through 40 lines of raw log data, they get a clear summary of the key signals, scope, and context.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Onboarding new data sources can still feel clunkier than it should be. We added a new SaaS tool to our stack last quarter and getting the logs flowing correctly into Sumo Logic took almost a full week of back-and-forth with documentation and support

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a serious siloing problem. Our security team, DevOps team, and infrastructure team were all working off different tools with different data views, and whenever an incident happened, the first 30 minutes were always wasted just getting everyone on the same page. Sumo Logic solved that by becoming our single source of truth for all telemetry

  ### 4. Live Tail and LogReduce Make Real-Time Troubleshooting Fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** aarti y. | Platform Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

Sumo Logic's Live Tail feature is something I use almost daily, being able to stream real-time logs during a deployment means I catch anomalies within seconds instead of waiting for an alert to fire. The LogReduce clustering has genuinely cut my incident investigation time in half by automatically grouping similar error patterns

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The dashboard building experience is where I feel the most friction, there's no drag-and-drop panel resizing, so arranging widgets into a clean layout takes far longer than it should and becomes a real time sink when you're iterating quickly during an incident review

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Sumo Logic, we struggled with fragmented observability, logs lived in CloudWatch, metrics in a separate tool, and correlating them during an incident meant switching contexts constantly, which easily added 20-30 minutes to every triage cycle.
Now we can investigate the full stack in a single unified interface, which has cut our mean time to resolution by roughly 40% and made on-call rotations significantly less stressful

  ### 5. Brilliant Centralized Log Management with Powerful Search, Dashboards, and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luciana S. | IT Manager , Health, Wellness and Fitness, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I like the brilliant and centralized log management capabilities from the software and this happens both on hybrid and cloud environments
The program issues robust and real time monitoring reports, helping to effectively identify an issue
The search abilities from Sumo Logic is outstanding and this helps in investigation and troubleshooting
The dashboard issues visuals that are helpful with operational insights that are manageable
The integration the tool gives with other cloud based systems including security systems is brilliant
Sumo Logic is resourceful in both security monitoring and observability, and this happens in one place

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Sumo Logic has resourceful query language and this takes time for new users
The program feels expensive, more so when data ingestion keeps growing

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sumo Logic is a remarkable approach for centralizing logs and ensuring that all operational data from diverse systems are monitored
The program supports DevOps and IT teams in matters troubleshooting any outages and this makes the performance more consistent
Sumo Logic gives versatile visibility in all cloud apps, infrastructure and networks
The app has effectively supported the monitoring of all the security updates, which makes the detection of anomalies seamless
The program ensures no manual handling or collection of machine data and this saves on time
Sumo Logic gives proactive monitoring mechanisms and this ensures no downtime or operational distractions that occurs

  ### 6. MoBot’s AI-Guided Assistance Makes Observability and Security Workflows a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudhakar I. | Platform Solutions Architect - Principal, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

As a solution architect, what impressed me most was MoBot. Having an AI-guided assistant that helps you navigate observability and security workflows, write queries, and even refine them with suggestions and nice UI experience, That's a game changer, especially for someone who's still getting comfortable with complex log queries.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

While Sumo Logic is incredibly powerful, it can feel overwhelming when you first get started. There's just so much to take in metrics, logs, Cloud SIEM, automation, MoBot, and without proper training, it's easy to feel lost navigating the platform

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with sharing visibility across teams, integration with external tools like Auth0, but the ability to build, export, and import dashboards means stakeholders across security and operations are now working from the same data, resulting in better collaboration and faster decision-making.

  ### 7. Robust Logging, Application Monitoring needs UI Upgrade

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin C. | Sr Network Security Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I appreciate Sumo Logic for solving scalability for different logging sources and naturalization of data. I find the ability to monitor our applications for secure performance concerns particularly useful. Troubleshooting applications is easier with the ability to look through data across multiple sources and correlate that data quickly, which is critical for us. I also value the security aspect, as it helps us put a security lens on our data analysis. Additionally, I appreciate how the application monitoring ensures we can parse data and correlate it with our existing log data. The initial setup of Sumo Logic was extremely easy, which is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

I feel like the application monitoring is not quite up to current industry standards. A modern UI redesign would help considerably.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sumo Logic solves scalability for different logging sources, naturalizes data, and lets us monitor applications for secure performance concerns. It aids in troubleshooting by correlating data across sources and applying a security lens, making it critical for our operations.

  ### 8. Sumo for Devops usecase

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jitae K. | Devops Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

There has been lots of improvements since I wrote this review,
UI changes - its still optional like you can have a experience with new UI, but I still prefer old UI though.
AI Query - Like there is a bit learning curve to learn about how to query, now we can use a query agent to translate natural-language questions into search query.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

There are bunch of ways you can save money like Frex Pricing or Assigning data to infrequent/frequent tires,. etc, based on your use cases. But its still bit pricey.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. CS/Dev team uses Sumo everyday to analysis data / find logs / debug errors
2. Ops created a dashboard to monitor all deployment pipeline deployed in Prod to see its status / versions,. etc
3. Sumo provides real time monitoring of logs such that we can get alerts from logs showing any potential issues and maintain system reliability

This is written by me 100% based on my expereince and my usecases and not even partially written by AI

  ### 9. Powerful Data Ingestion and Queries, but a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ján J. | SQA Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

One of Sumo’s strongest suits is its ability to ingest and normalize data from almost any source—AWS, Azure, GCP, or on-prem—into a single “pane of glass.” The query language is incredibly robust, and I use it every day for debugging.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

If you aren’t familiar with their specific syntax, it can take some time to become proficient. I’d suggest improving the “out-of-the-box” query builders to make it easier to get started. Also, when running complex queries over large time ranges (for example, 7+ days), the UI can sometimes feel sluggish or even time out.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sumo Logic acts as a Single Source of Truth. It unifies logs, metrics, and traces into one platform.

  ### 10. Powerful, Fast, and Effortless Data Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

The platform remains incredibly powerful yet accessible. The ease of use in terms of getting data in and the speed of the query language are top-tier. I appreciate how quickly you can go from a raw log to a meaningful visualization. The pre-built dashboards and the App Catalog make it easy to get immediate value without having to build everything from scratch. It feels like a platform built for engineers who need answers fast, not just a storage bin for data

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The new UI is a significant pain point. Specifically, the removal of the internal tabbing system has disrupted my workflow. In the old UI, I could manage multiple searches and dashboards within one browser window effortlessly. The new "browser-native" tab approach feels cluttered and makes it much harder to pivot between concurrent investigations without losing my place. Additionally, the navigation in the new UI feels more "click-heavy" and less intuitive for those of us who grew used to the classic layout.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sumo Logic solves the problem of data silos. Before using it, we had to hop between different servers and cloud consoles to find logs; now, everything is indexed in one place. This has drastically reduced our Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR). The benefit is that my team spends less time "hunting" for the cause of a bug and more time actually fixing it, which keeps our systems more reliable for our users.
