We looked around for a platform to help us run calls for research funding and found that Submit.com were the most affordable and intuitive option for a small organisation such as ours. Other members of my team have been quick to learn how to use the system which isn't always the case with other options I've previously used so there is less time spent training and troubleshooting. I like the flexibility of the system and I feel like we could use it for any kind of submission need we might have. An added bonus is that the support team are knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. There are some minor quirks in terms of formatting but we've been able to find workarounds for these so far. I think we could also make better use of some of the functionality to streamline things further (e.g. reviews/folders) but these feel like a slightly complex add on to our process so we haven't explored them yet (this is more our challenge than Submit's though!) We use Submit.com to run research calls which involve people who are very familiar with such processes (e.g. academics) but also involve people from charities who might have less experience.
