## StudioBinder Reviews
  ### 1. Help and Support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** stan m. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

Well, it looked promising and usefull, But, it has soo many issues, making it practically unusable.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

The list is long.
No Support, and I mean NO Support. I have written in the chat for help, small things, and it either says no one is there, the hours are XXXX, they will get back in 24 hrs. Yet nothing no emails no chat response. I send a chat during their support hrs wich are very short and the response is some will get back in 24 hours. And nothing.
Not knowing and not getting any answers I can only say the program is seriously flawed.
Starting with no UNDO and Redo. You make a mistake and want to undo it, cant be done. That alone makes it impossible to work freely with. especially doing scene timing and changes. The only way I have found around this is to copy the project over and over and over, in order to revert to previous project in lue of no undo.
What program hs no undo redo? Davinci? Photoshop? Premier? I could go on.
This is the first program I have run into since the 90s that has no undo.
I cant figure out how to import my strips into the shot sheet? It seems you have to build your shot sheet from scratch, really? How is this not connected via their database all the info is in the program, and if it is, where is it buried in the cryptic UI? You spend all that time building your stripes and then you have to build your shot sheet from scratch, when all the starting info is right there in the strips. This is a complete waste of time.
There are so many issues like these I won't go on.
Let's talk about the UI, it is confusing, with items buried under labels that do not make sense. There is more but too much to list.
Help, tutorials. What a joke, they are slick catchy super fast-paced and tell you absolutely nothing. the interface IU on the tutorials does not exactly match my UI so even when I stop the video and replay it a dozen times to figure out where that mouse is going and click a tab, is a puzzle game I do not want to play.
Implementation and of courseintegration is flawed beyond mentioning.
Stop trying to be so slick and do some tutorials that are in-depth on the working of the program. Really, but some effort into this.

The program looks great but once you get into it the learning curve sucks when with just a few adjustments could be awesome. I have worked in the game development field for over 15 years for xbox, PlayStation, Disney, and dozens of AAA companies. And UI UX Functions is something I know quite a bit about. This program has so many pipeline, UI UX, and simple support issues that make it Zero stars for me. So close to being fantastic, yet so far from getting there. It seems to me that after all the redo's I have had to do, it is going to be easier to go back to Excel and just do it that way.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has not benefited me at all.

  ### 2. It could be SO MUCH better !!!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Motion Pictures and Film | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

The User Interface is awesome compare to the old look & feel of other software

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

There is no UNDO feature! So if you make an error, you need to re-do all the work you've done. ALSO about support, they basically never replied to me or chat back... basically, I would say there is no support.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The look is clean and easy to understand so definitely that can help during your pre-production

  ### 3. StudioBinder makes production so much easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley L. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

When I first found out about studio binder I was really excited and when I started using it I was even more excited. It made production scheduling so easy and provide it in seamless platform for me to communicate with the actors and crew.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

Really i don’t have any dislikes with STUDIOBINDER.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized we could store all of our locations and it made it a lot easier to do scheduling especially when it came to series where we have multiple shoot days

  ### 4. more organized and creative thanks to studiobinder

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** malcom c. | Associate Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2020

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

What I like the most about studiobinder are its characteristics since of all the software that I have tested this is the most serious and with the best tools that I have tested it is very intuitive its ease of use is incredible studiobinder is very well positioned compared to other software One of the things that I like the most is that I can have everything organized in one place. I have all my call sheets. I also add reminders for the whole team. Also, I can add comments from the whole team, which helps us. To make production more fluid, I can also send emails to all our managers and receive corrections almost immediately

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

I think that studiobinder has two big problems. One is that its price is highly high for small companies and people who work independently. It makes it very difficult for them to use the program since it is expensive and another thing is that their technical service is a little slow to give answers. ..

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

studiobinder has made my production work more efficient and creative as well as being more organized and professional

  ### 5. Makes Pre-Production a Breeze (Shot List, Scheduling, Call Sheets)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent D. | Script Reader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

I need quite a bit of help with organization and that's exactly what this program does. I can write my script, make notes, storyboard, share my work, get feedback from my department heads, and schedule the entire production. The screenwriting app is just as intuitive as Final Draft — but here the script feeds directly into the pre-pro planning (breakdowns, scheduling, etc.). I'd also like to give a shout out to their customer service team who are very responsive and helpful if I have any questions.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

I would love to see a budgeting feature get added to the platform. It would make so much sense and add yet another really valuable tool to the service. It would also be great if they added a feature to the storyboard module so I could maybe draw storyboards directly into the program but maybe that's just me being lazy.

**Recommendations to others considering StudioBinder:**

If you're looking for a solution to keep your film and video projects organized and collaborative, StudioBinder is fantastic. It basically forces you to be more professional and take your projects more seriously. I like that a lot. Filmmaking is hard enough so having a solution like this to make it even a little easier is worth every penny.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit I've found is being able to have a central location for me and my department heads to communicate and collaborate. Sending group emails and spreadsheets back and forth was always a disaster for me. Having everything centralized is a lifesaver.

  ### 6. Great Way to Keep your film projects in order!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela B. | Owner/Makeup Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

I love the layout of StudoBinder. Everything is pretty self-explanatory but isn't so simple that it doesn't do the job for more complex productions. Basically it is both user friendly and effective. I'm not personally one that creates the productions and I needed something that helped me to help my team to really make our production organized and professional without having to be in the industry for years. This program really laid it all out for me and helped to guide what I needed in order to get orgainized.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

The cost is honestly a bit much. You can either have the free forever plan which allows you one project OR the "Indie" plan that allows 10 Projects but is $49 per month. We fall in the middle. I think that if they offered some additional pricing points it would be very helpful so that we can scale up as we needed.

**Recommendations to others considering StudioBinder:**

It is a really great program but it does get expensive to use all the features that you can have with your project.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was so easy to use to create a call sheet, production schedule, etc and it looks very professional. Much better than a spreadsheet!

  ### 7. Studio binder the best solution for your production problems

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

It offers an impressive range of tools that can certainly be considered one of the best serious production tools I have used. However, the software feels somewhat immature, which can lead to It offers an impressive range of tools that can certainly be considered one of the best serious production tools I have used. However, the software feelso occasion somewhat immature, which can lead to occasional poor user experiences and interface errors that may interrupt its use.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

the only drawback we could have with studiobinder is its cost since it is higher than its competitors and that makes it difficult for small companies to allow using it freely

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

now it helps us to be organized and to be communicated no matter the day or time we can all be on the page and be aware of the calls

  ### 8. The best video production management app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

The biggest upside of StudioBinder is that you have everything that your production needs all in one place. This includes the ability to make call sheets (and send them), create shot lists and storyboards, make schedules, DOOD reports, etc.

The fact that I can make a shooting schedule just by importing my .pdf (sometimes using a .fdx), and it's able to easily recognize it. It makes it really easy to onboard my entire team to the application, without any additional hassle.

I also love that I can add shots (and storyboards) to individual scenes in my schedule, and it makes it really easy to save them as PDFs and/or print them.

The screenwriting feature is a game-changer for me if I need to make any quick adjustments to the script.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

The pricing can get expensive but the good thing is that you can easily downgrade/upgrade to meet your production needs.

**Recommendations to others considering StudioBinder:**

I would LOVE to see a budgeting feature implemented in the application. Is there a timeline or beta list that I can add myself to?

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped speed up my entire production process and it's eliminated the need to depend on emails, text messages, and outdated templates that I used to use for callsheets, shot lists, schedules, etc.

It's also solved a communication barrier between myself and teammates. In the past I would need to go through multiple email exchanges, spreadsheet sharing, outdated script versions, etc. and it would get really tedious to manage the entire production.

StudioBinder just makes the entire process SO MUCH easier for me. I'm able to easily communicate with my entire team without a hitch, and keep them in the loop with my script, shooting schedule, and storyboards.

I'm excited to see what's coming up next for StudioBinder!

  ### 9. Great for Pitch Decks

They layout makes it easy for me to make adjustments to personalized my work

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

Nothing so far, everything works great. Maybe so additional features for designing

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wass unsure how to create a pitch deck and using Studio Binder Template made it so easy. I've actually become more professional at this point in my career because of it. Now I use this model to help others in my field

  ### 10. Great project management software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anita L. | Film Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

Definitely it's ease of use and intuitive layout. It's features rival a lot of larger project management software.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

Price point can be a big hindrance for a lot of smaller companies like ourselves. I think in time, once we get bigger clients, we'll utilize a little bit more.

**Recommendations to others considering StudioBinder:**

I am really pleased with StudioBinder. There are constant updates, some of which I did not realize were problems. New features are always being added. I would recommend it to anyone.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love the budget program - it has really helped me. The scheduling system seems wonderful but it will not let me upload my whole script even though I upgraded. So disappointing

  ### 11. Best for Call Sheets, but an ok screenwriting program

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

This app is best for sending call sheets, although I did have a major bug that almost derailed a shoot. The app has been steadily increasing in capabilities. The design and UX is great and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

The last time I looked at the screenwriting software, it looked less robust than Celtx and Final Draft, so I prefer to use that.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Best for sending call sheets

  ### 12. Good software with a big price tag

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

Intuitive interface and sleek GUI. Easy to use and learn.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

It’s more expensive than similar software. Although it is “prettier”, it doesn’t make it more useful.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to send out call sheets with all the info pre-populated is a useful tool. Overall production management is simple and straightforward.

  ### 13. The best production management solution

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

What I like best about this film production software is that it saves a lot of time by creating your strip boards for you all the cast and crew gets to stay on the same page on and off sat

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

There’s nothing really that I dislike about the software so far

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problem that we are solving his time management and keeping everyone on the same page no matter what hour of the day or night

  ### 15. Software with ease

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about StudioBinder?**

What I find mostly intuitive and pleasant is the UI design.

**What do you dislike about StudioBinder?**

Sometimes the navigation is still a bit more tedious since it has too many options to click from.

**What problems is StudioBinder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Production needs that need to be solved.
