"Good, Cheap and Sluggish"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Storj?

This product is incredibly cheap, which for, let's say, storing pre-transcoded video files, archiving a huge amount of emails or warm backups or some other warm archival task is incredible and is another tool in the data storage tool belt that is practically indestructible and is incredibly versatile: allowing you to access data at similar latency from copies around the world thanks to its distributed nature. What do you dislike about Storj?

It is sluggish: doesn't matter much for archival storage, even warm archival storage, but the lag is just enough that you can't use it to back a live service in the same way you would S3 and still expect a good user experience unless you structure it in a way that this is backing a "cool" layer of data that still needs to be accessed on-demand but not instantly. It's not bad but it's something that should be considered in system architecture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
