What I like most is the high flexibility of the platform. Even complex product data models, classifications, validation rules, and approval processes can be mapped in detail in STEP. Particularly valuable for us are the workflow functions, the role-specific web UIs, and the diverse integration possibilities. This allows us to centrally manage product data from various sources, systematically ensure their quality, and consistently provide them for different business areas, markets, and output channels. The great flexibility simultaneously brings with it a high level of complexity. For new users, the user interface is not always intuitive, and deep specialized knowledge is often required for configuration, error analysis, and further development. The documentation could be more consistent, up-to-date, and more focused on concrete practical examples. With large amounts of data and extensive mass changes, we also wish for more transparency about ongoing processes and more reliable performance.
