What do you like best about START Vendor Risk Management?

The START platform has been leveraged by our team for just over 2 years. It's been tailored to our program and has allowed us to automate in areas where we weren't before. The START team has been open to our ideas and suggestions for areas of improvement. They're quick to help resolve urgent issues and are great at keeping an open line of communication. As an Admin, the platform is easy to use and configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about START Vendor Risk Management?

- There are some limitations regarding configuration and ability to customize. Would love to see Admins have more capability to make updates/configure things from within the UI

- Inconsistencies between the Site Security and Application Security modules

- Inconsistences with features being enabled in one area of the platform but not all areas where it seems applicable (an example of this assessment questionnaire can be sent back to the individual(s) for edits, however, that capability does not exist for all questionnaires)

Areas of improvement include:

- Have to rely on the START team to update/apply weighting to intake questionnaire, change statuses, etc.

- Unable to define and build custom workflows as an Admin from within the UI

- Unable to define triggers for automated email notifications (they're pre-defined)

- Unable to customize views at a user/role level (i.e. adding removing columns when viewing the Vendor Inventory, etc.)

- Unable to add custom fields to any view (can add custom fields, however, there are a lot of limitations in this space)

- Unable to customize aspects of the intake questionnaire

- Unable to limit visibility to business users as it relates to the vendor inventory (i.e. would like to have the ability to determine if a business user is only able to view/access a record for which they submitted a request for; additionally would like to be able to give a business user a profile overview limiting what information they can view, allowing them the ability to request elevated access if needed)

- Mass system of notifications (allowing us to easily send email notifications to our entire vendor inventory or a sub-set) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is START Vendor Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

START is looking at improving the UX/UI, as well as adding features/capabilities such as:

- Any time commenting allowing our teams to communicate with the vendor and internally all within the platform

- Updated dashboards

- Ability to define/save filtering parameters within the various inventory views at a user level

- Parent record summarizing child records (i.e. assessment status, remediation items, etc)

- Ability to have multiple assessment report templates Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
