## Squarespace Reviews
  ### 1. Great Integrations and Beginner-Friendly Tools, but Customization Feels Limited

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martha V. | Behavioral Health Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It does offer a lot of integrations and tools for folks with no website design experience. For new business owners that aren't trying to spend a fortune on their site, it's great as it allows building of aesthetically pleasing websites, and tons of help to improve traffic and engagement.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

For people with some website design knowledge, the ability to customize and adjust more "under the hood" things is not easy, let alone intuitive. Squarespace forces you to use their layout, and changing that is simply impossible. If you prefer more freedom with your design, it may be frustrating to work with. It also doesn't perform as well on some browsers (firefox seems to be best for editing).

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me with finding ways to promote my website and understand SEO / AI Visibility tools and how I can use them to attract clients. It also offers options for integrations if I don't have my own, while allowing for integrations I'm already working with.

  ### 2. Streamlined, Easy-to-Manage Pages/Shop But Creative Limits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haley M. | O, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The walled garden approach. It is nice that it limits some things, so it keeps the site/brand more focused. It is easy to navigate and edit and keep things streamlined to be aesthetic. Easily able to navigate and monitor marketing benchmarks for performance os specific topics/campaigns/etc. Really love the ease of setting up a shop to sell products and services on the site... that may be my favorite part compared to other ones I have dealt with.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

A double edged sword, but I do dislike the limitations around creativity and setting up pages for the website. It is nice in a lot of ways, but the limitations can also be frustrating.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ROI for selling services and products, having a brand at the forefront of competition in the digital backyard of our area, a place for clients to easily navigate and find all resources.

  ### 3. Squarespace: Effortless to Use, Packed with Evolving Design Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucia C. | Brand Strategy Consultant + Website Designer + Copywriter + Photographer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

We love the ease of use of Squarespace. It seamlessly integrates with some of our favorite products and consistently offers new design tools. As website designers, we appreciate the developers interface as well as the forward facing structure for novice business owners. They offer chat and email support, with useful articles on just about every subject you may need help with. We have used Squarespace for more than 10 years and love how they've adjusted and adapted in that timeframe.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

We would love to see them roll out better calendar tools, like recurring events.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For business owners that do not want their website managed, Squarespace is an all-in-one solution that does not require the constant maintenance needed by platforms like Wordpress.

  ### 4. Popular and Easy to Create, but Feels Geared Towards Retailers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alphonse T. | Senior Manager, Global Communications, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is probably the most well-known website builder for laypeople, and its widespread use makes it easier to share templates and tips. The pricing model is generally affordable as an organizational user.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It feels more geared toward web shops than toward broader organizational needs, especially if you’re mainly trying to build a general informational website. Some of the widgets and design elements are tricky to manage, and they can feel wonky when you try to use them or customize them.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offers a basic web builder platform for microsites that’s quick and easy to set up when you don’t have a dedicated designer. The templates feel familiar and are generally solid, providing a good overall UX.

  ### 5. Drag-and-Drop Ease with Beautiful Templates and Custom Navigation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Delon R. | Graphic Designer, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

What I like most about Squarespace is the ability to drag and drop objects which saves time from having to program i in the code, organise the headers in each webpage, set custom navigation for the different sections of the webpage. included are prebilt templates that are organised by theme to start building without setting everything from scratch, live website viewer, custom typefaces, and

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

What I dislike about Squarespace is that the SEO needs a little work. In search results, it takes a little longer, even though the website domain and header tags are set correctly, unsure whether it's the crawlers or user experience of the site. Unsure exactly how this would be implemented, but fixes are achievable

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace makes it easier to format a site without having to wonder which typefaces go well together, and it benefits me by saving time I’d otherwise spend searching for typefaces. Squarespace also includes a wide variety of templates in the plans chosen and has built-in security, which saves me time setting up a lot of the back-end systems when uploading the site to the web domain.

  ### 6. Easy Invoicing and Client Management for Home Remodeling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raina P. | Assistant project coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It’s very easy to use, especially for creating invoices for my business. I do home remodeling, and it helps a lot when I need to quickly put together an estimate, invoice, or proposal. I also like the different options it offers, and the fact that I can keep my clients and all their information right there in one place.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about this service. My experience using it has been entirely positive.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that I can create an estimate and send it to clients quickly, so they clearly understand the price and the work to be performed. It’s also helpful that I can include different estimate options for them to choose from.

  ### 7. Effortless Website Creation with Professional Templates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush A. | Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace offers clean and intuitive website building experience. Drag and drop features feels smooth and the templates look professionally built without heavy customization. What I like most is how quickly I can go from an idea to a fully functional site. It is good especially for portfolios, blogs, and small business pages. The platform handles the technical side (hosting, SSL, performance & analytics, SEO) effortlessly, so I can focus entirely on design and content.
The biggest upside is the ease of implementation. Even without design or coding experience, you can build a visually appealing website within a few hours. The pre-built layouts, block-based sections, and styling tools are thoughtfully organized, which reduces learning curve. Squarespace’s integrated features like built-in analytics, email marketing, ecommerce, scheduling tools, finances, and SEO basics make it feel like an all-in-one solution. For someone who uses it frequently, it saves a lot of time compared to juggling multiple third-party plugins and integrations.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

While it’s very smooth to use, Squarespace can sometimes feel restrictive for people who want full customization or access to deeper technical controls. The editor, although polished, can occasionally be slow or imprecise when trying to make small layout adjustments. The pricing also feels slightly high for users who only need basic features. Trying to make it very dynamic and integrate it with Git can get frustating.
The biggest downside is the limited flexibility when compared to open-source platforms. Some integrations require workarounds, and advanced functionality often depends on custom code injections, which aren’t beginner-friendly. Customer support is helpful but not always fast, especially during peak hours. The number of features is solid, but certain capabilities like more advanced SEO controls, deeper ecommerce customization like Shopify, and broader plugin availability are still missing. If you plan to scale a very complex website, the platform may feel a bit boxed-in and it does go out-of-memory or becomes slow in case you have too many pages.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace solves the problem of building a website which looks professionally built without investing excessive time, technical expertise, or developer resources. It eliminates the complexity of hosting, theme management, security updates, and plugin maintenance everything is managed in one place. For me, this means I can focus completely on building content and growing my online presence instead of troubleshooting technical issues or spending time on development. The built-in analytics, email campaigns, ecommerce tools, finance management, and scheduling features also reduce the need for multiple separate platforms, saving both cost and effort. Overall, Squarespace helps streamline my workflow, speeds up website creation, and makes it effortless to maintain a professional digital presence.

  ### 8. Effortless Website Management with Customization Potential

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** K A. | Founder, Host, Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like Squarespace for how graphical and content-focused it is, which makes it very easy to use with its WYSIWYG interface. It's also customizable, making it simple to train clients so they can update things themselves. Compared to other CMS options like WordPress, it's much easier to see and understand your own edits, with fewer bugs and better security since it doesn't get hacked. Squarespace feels more mobile and less clunky than manual methods like Dreamweaver and server-side edits. I always switch my clients to Squarespace from platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Tumblr. The initial setup for Squarespace is always a breeze. I always recommend Squarespace to others and rate it a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I always want more customization. They continually update it but I seem to always be stretching the limits. You can add snippets of code here and there and workaround things, but essentially the formats are the same. Also, you can’t upload videos to a gallery template.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace helps with content organization and presentation, making it easier to see and understand edits compared to WordPress. It's less buggy, doesn't get hacked, and is mobile-friendly, enhancing ease of use and the ability to train clients.

  ### 9. Easy Setup, But Customer Service Is Hard to Reach

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mrs. Phyllis C. | Owner, Music, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Getting started with the website builder was easy enough, and the overall setup felt straightforward. I also appreciated having a free trial period, which was definitely a plus.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The lack of easily accessible customer service really turned me off. On top of that, the pricing felt a bit high as well.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Squarespace, I was able to secure a domain name and build a website. That's been a real benefit for my new business, which didn't have a landing page for quite a while, and it helped me finally get an online presence up and running.

  ### 10. Simplified Website Management with Powerful SEO Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** alpana c. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I appreciate Squarespace for its ease of use, especially compared to WordPress, which I've used for over a decade. Squarespace makes it simpler with user-friendly widgets that are just drag-and-drop. Everything you need is built inside, so I can easily copy and paste a WordPress article, and it handles the formatting like headings and alt text smoothly. I love that it offers a dashboard where I can study website traffic without needing extensive knowledge in SEO. Also, setting everything up and maintaining plugins is quite easy. The dashboard's ability to conduct market research and study trends right there is impressive, and you don't need to know a lot about SEO to understand what's happening on your website. Also, the initial setup was very easy, making Squarespace an excellent choice.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The ability to micromanage things in Squarespace is limited compared to WordPress. You can't customize or add JavaScript as freely as you can with WordPress. Using tools like in links isn't the same on Squarespace as it is on WordPress. The technical SEO aspects, like schema files, feel a bit outdated and need to be updated.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Squarespace easy to use for website management, especially with SEO optimization. It simplifies editing, doesn't require coding, and offers beautiful, user-friendly designs. The dashboard allows me to monitor traffic and trends without needing advanced SEO knowledge. It's cost-effective and facilitates market research.
