The SQL Compare is fantastic for quick and easy comparison of two servers to ensure they are in sync for the data objects. The SQL Data Compare is also extremely valuable to compare data between two servers and make the data transfer with a few mouse clicks. The SQL Prompt makes the job of SQL script writing a whiz. The SQL Data Generator is a huge help when creating a new system and you just need some quick random data to test out the design and queries. While those are the tools I use most, I use each one of the tools in the toolbelt and the cost was worth every penny as it saves numerous hours of work. **What do you dislike about SQL Toolbelt Essentials?** I have not found any downsids of the SQL Toolbelt as it has paid for itself many times over in time savings making the job of a SQL Developer and DBA a joy. **What problems is SQL Toolbelt Essentials solving and how is that benefiting you?** It takes the built in SQL intelligence to a next level. I have saved numerous hours using the SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare after a deployment to verify that the systems are in the expected state. I have also used those two tools as a part of troubleshooting to ensure the state of the environment is what is expected and not contributing negatively to the situation. The SQL Multi Script makes the job of executing a batch of script files so quick and easy it makes my job less stressful. ### 2. SQL Compare will help you do diffs of your environments and sync them, providing a script that you can tweak and run. I've also saved lots of time with SQL Data Compare when dealing with lookup tables. **What do you dislike about SQL Toolbelt Essentials?** The only downside is that it's not free, so I'm always having to convince my organization to pay for licenses, and sadly, I often fail in that regard. The advanced IntelliSense in SQL Prompt, the ability to create custom templates, and the customizable formatting in SQL Prompt exponentially increase our developer productivity in SQL Server Management Server. SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare have become vital to our release process.
