Superb depth of anti-malware scanning - will locate not just cookies but nail down registry entries as well 2. The pro version has a winning combination of antivirus And anti-malware. We honestly opine that that alone will suffice for the security needs of any PC. At the most, one could use "CCleaner" software occasionally 3. Features like Beacon and immunization make this a class apart Bottom-line: look no further! **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** 1. Scaning is slow but performance does need resources/time 2. May not be able to solve browser hijacking....Do test out the free version for a feel ...am positive it will pan out well **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. Privacy - deep protection against malware and tracking cookies 2. Strong antivirus laden with consistent and automatic updates (Pro version) We have had just 1 security incident (browser hijack) in 15 years ...thanks to this software ### 2. I remember when I was a kid even my brother had it installed on his computers. Spybot has been there for my safety on all my laptops and desktops since I had my first personal computer. It is the shield you need to defend yourself from spyware that can steal your data or that of your loved ones. It is the solution to your problems when you are under attack. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** As I mentioned earlier, this program is among the 5 essential programs that I need on all my computer equipment. That being said, there is nothing you can dislike about Spybot. You will always be protected. The database is updated often. **Recommendations to others considering SpyBot:** An anti spyware and antivurs is a must in your computer. That being said, SpyBot is not an antivirus by itself, but if you are still in the look for both options, all paid options includes an antivirus. **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am defending my computers from spyware and adware that can potentially harm my computer and its performance, but not only that, but I also protect it from the theft of information from my work, family, friends, etc. Security must be the number one priority at all times for all Internet users. Spybot is that security you have always been looking for. ### 3. The price is also competitive and inexpensive. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** I started with the free version, and it was limited compared to the paid version. It did feel time-consuming, so I like to run when I have more time. **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is peace of mind knowing that there is protection routinely running in the background for my work computer. ### 4. The deep scanning removes infections effectively. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** Spybot uses significant resources and can freeze up your system. The program can be difficult for light and intermediate users as the menus can be tough to navigate. **Recommendations to others considering SpyBot:** Spybot is not the easiest product to use but it is very effective. I would not use this ona low end computer. Running it in safe mode has been the most effective. **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** We maintain hundreds of users and most devices belong to them. A great secure and powerful tool, if you never tried, you should then **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Marcus S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018 **What do you like best about SpyBot?** Well, Spybot is very powerful and i'm using it with windows defender, I like it because gives me a good internet security, it is free, it doesn't get laggy, has a very clean interface, allows me to repair registry files, removes lots of unwanted spywares and it's always up to date. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** although it's fast, it consume lots of my computer's memory, it's always up to date but it's very slow to download it and its very slow to scan as well, sometimes it takes hours to finish its scan ( depending on which kind of scan you're making ) **Recommendations to others considering SpyBot:** I recommend it because it is free and offers a great security tool, if you're using Spybot then you're very likely to be protected from any suspicious files, granting even more protection if you're already using Windows Defender or any antivirus, **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm solving my computer's security with Spybot, i'm using this software for a long time and everytime a suspicious file enters my computer, Spybot is there to save me again, extending my computer's life as well.Another benefit is that Spybot is really light so you don't have to be worried about how much it's consuming your hard disk space. ### 6. I sometimes need something to take a bite out of all the critters that are biting at my heals all day. I don't have time to have a company wide dispersed software to help me fight these issues, so this as well as companies that offer help like this are a great benefit to my day. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** At times it seems as if it doesn't catch all the issues that I am having trouble with. **Recommendations to others considering SpyBot:** To those that are looking for a solution to those picky malware challenges everyday, I would suggest Spybot to them. For one machine or many, it looks like it gets the job done **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been able to minimize malware attacks and on some of the systems been able to monitor the system to prevent attacks. I work at a Helpdesk and take care of over 300 computers. I face a good amount of malware attacks and if I have a software like this, it minimizes my work. ### 7. With SpyBot you can destroy over a thousand spyware-type infections, including the infamous Gator, Web3000, BDE Projector, Aureate, Cydoor, DSSAgent, SaveNow and webHancer. Plus, and one of the most interesting functions, is the ability to immunize your computer against future infections. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** The only downside is the lack of updates, but as it's free software, it's logical. **Recommendations to others considering SpyBot:** Thanks to SpyBot our systems that are always operating on the Internet are more secure and our computers are free of network threats. I've been using this program for years and fulfilling what it promises. It has a very comprehensive database that helps to be protected. On those who comment on the language, I downloaded it today on a new computer, but the installer does not give to choose Spanish, when installed appears the entire program in Spanish, at least to me that's what happened to me. Pros: Good anti-threat database is free, at least in the basic package **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** It's in English, but it'll save your skin. It's his only drawback. That's why I don't put a 10 on it. It would be necessary to expand to more languages to facilitate its expansion **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** He resurrected my computer. The free version is therefore more than sufficient for personal use, as it will effectively clean against malware and spyware. The paid version offers the integrated antivirus but also powerful tools that can prove useful, notably the creation of a boot CD to eliminate infections directly without going through the operating system. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** There is no integrated antivirus, it's just a simple antimalware, but it will do most of the work in case of an infection, or you have to switch to the paid version of the software, which can be problematic in some cases. **Recommendations to others considering SpyBot:** To get rid of web waste, it's a great spyware malware tool; it does a good cleaning. **What problems is SpyBot solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allowed for a cleanup of the infected system from everything related to malware, spyware, and all that with just the free version. The cleanup was effective with this simple software, and there is little need to invest much more than this free version. ### 10. It allows for a thorough scan and removal of virus' and malware. The UI is easy to use and installation is simply and quick. Removal is just as easy if you do not want it to conflict with another A/V or A/M solution. **What do you dislike about SpyBot?** I wish the free version offered a little more functionality. I use the free version if I am stuck in a pickle. It compliments my other A/V and A/M solutions quite well. **Recommendations to others considering SpyBot:** Spybot is a great A/V and A/M solution. I may even considering it for a full implementation in our environment if they can work with our endpoint solution provider.
