I looked at NotebookLM and a few AI audio tools before settling on Sprep. The difference is control. Other tools give you a generated audio file and that is the end of the conversation. Sprep lets me edit the script, pick voices, set the intent of the episode and export it where I need it. For anything client-facing or internal comms, that editability is not option Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Editing is script-level rather than line-level. If one sentence in the middle of a long episode needs a change, the regeneration step feels heavier than it should for a small fix. On longer source documents the processing wait is also noticeable enough that I batch work instead of doing it live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
