"Intuitive AI, an all-in-one place Inbox, and great video Interviewing functionality"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Spott?

Spott is very fast at updating records from LinkedIn compared to other platforms. I also like the inbox feature, which lets you see all your emails directly within Spott. Another thing I appreciate is that when I’m conducting a video interview, I can view the interview itself along with the raw transcript and the summary, all in one place.

The team itself is very helpful, specifically Tom in sales, and Dimitri in customer success. They are both very responsive at all hours. We had some initial issues, but they both went above and beyond to resolve them.

I haven't had time to explore all the AI features yet, but from what I have seen, it's very intuitive and accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spott?

The note taker needs to be longer than a minute. Other databases allow for 45 minutes, which is extremely helpful when conducting a telephone interview without a VOIP. Or even speaking your notes into it.

I don’t like the fact that there is zero visibility into other team members messages via LinkedIn Classic or Sales Navigator. As a business owner, this is critical for me. We have a researcher who does initial outreach to candidates that we can not see, we can not see the responses from candidates for a job when contacted via LinkedIn, which is just another form of communication like email, so should be treated as such. We have been told conflicting advice, Lander has said that it’s on the roadmap, maybe for this summer. Recruiterflow have specifically said that LinkedIn does not allow for this, however at least on Recruiterflow we can see in communication that a team member contacted someone via LinkedIn, even though we are not able to see the communication itself.

When viewing a candidate record, the name of the candidate is very small at the top, along with where they work, their title, contact details, all of the most important things you want to see. This should be given much more prominence, text bigger.

The same for the jobs page, the name of the job and the company should be made much bigger and clear as to what job you are on. When you are switching between jobs (particularly ones for the same company), you can lose track as to what job you are on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Spott solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a recruitment database/CRM, however can also be used for sales outreach.

The fact that you are able to sync two email addresses is very helpful, especially as a busines owner of several companies like myself, and clients and candidates may email me at different email addresses. So all of the communication can be captured in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
