What do you like best about SonicMeet?

I really appreciate how reliable SonicMeet's low‑latency bilingual live captioning and translation is for our mixed‑language webinars and product demos we host on Livestorm at Münster Marketing UG. Our audiences are always a mix of local German marketing decision‑makers and international English‑speaking prospects, many joining from noisy home offices or co‑working spaces where audio can be unreliable, so live on‑screen text support is critical to hold attendee attention. The subtitles keep up surprisingly well, even when our presenters switch quickly between German and English mid‑sentence during fast‑moving Q&A rounds. Last quarter, we ran a lead‑generation product demo targeting advertising industry contacts. Our guest speaker jumped back and forth between both languages while answering audience questions. After the live event, multiple attendees left feedback specifically calling out the live captions as a big plus, saying it let them follow the discussion even with background office noise. Before adopting SonicMeet, we only relied on post‑produced subtitles from Subanana. What do you dislike about SonicMeet?

I noticed the accuracy of SonicMeet drops noticeably during fast‑paced live webinar sessions we host on Livestorm. When multiple attendees chime in at the same time in chat, or speakers throw around niche marketing and advertising jargon, the translation and caption output starts to slip. We have run into mistranslations and incorrect transcriptions on more than one occasion. Not long ago during a product‑focused demo, our guest industry speaker used lots of specialized advertising terminology. Several key phrases came out completely mis‑captioned. A handful of live attendees flagged these errors in the webinar chat box, so our host had to pause and verbally clarify those points on‑the‑fly to stop audience confusion, which threw off our original presentation timing. Additionally, there is no native integration with Livestorm at all. I cannot auto‑push captions directly into the webinar player or sync transcripts to event records. Every caption and transcript file has to be manually exported out of SonicMeet. We frequently run into German umlaut character corruption inside exported transcript and CSV files; special characters in attendee surnames or quoted chat content get garbled, forcing me to go line‑by‑line editing to fix broken text. Two months ago on a major lead‑gen webinar, I missed attaching a finished transcript file to our PowerFolder event folder. When my teammate got ready to build post‑event follow‑up emails for prospects, they could not access the Q&A transcript, and our whole outreach campaign got delayed by nearly a full business day. All of this manual file management, cleanup work and lack of seamless tool connections creates repetitive extra labour for our small event‑coordination team and introduces real‑risk of human error during our busy webinar cycles. Before we moved over to SonicMeet, we only had post‑event subtitle generation from Subanana, with zero live‑broadcast text support. Pre‑recorded post‑produced subtitles could do nothing to help attendees who struggled to follow while the session was actually live. I clearly remember one tough experience earlier this year. We hosted a large‑scale lead‑gen webinar mixing German‑local marketers and international guests. Presenters switched languages constantly in the open Q&A. Multiple non‑German‑speaking attendees messaged support chat saying they could not keep up with fast‑spoken German sections. Quite a few people exited the broadcast before we shared our key call‑to‑action. We lost several promising business leads purely because there was no real‑time translation and captioning available for live viewers. Now with SonicMeet’s low‑latency dual‑language captions enabled, attendees can read along instantly regardless of which language the speaker uses, even if they are joining from noisy environments with poor audio quality. That being said, we still deal with workflow friction. There is no native sync with Livestorm, so transcripts need manual export. German umlaut characters often get corrupted in exported files and require manual cleanup, and I have to manually archive caption assets inside PowerFolder. Even with those manual‑handling headaches for our 11‑50‑person marketing team, SonicMeet closes that critical live‑accessibility gap, protects lead‑generation quality and brings tangible improvements to every multilingual webinar we run.
