What do you like best about SOLIDWORKS?

I have been using SOLIDWORKS since 2006 for professional mechanical design, engineering analysis, and education. Its greatest strength is the integration of the engineering workflow—from concept and parametric 3D modeling to assemblies, Simulation, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.

The interface is relatively intuitive, while the software provides enough depth for advanced engineering applications. I particularly value the close connection between CAD and SOLIDWORKS Simulation, which makes it possible to evaluate and improve designs without separating modeling from engineering analysis. What do you dislike about SOLIDWORKS?

Performance and stability can still be challenging with complex assemblies, large drawings, and demanding projects. I would like to see greater emphasis on robustness, performance, and refinement of existing functionality rather than continually adding new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
