What do you like best about Soley?

1) Immense time & resource savings:

• Soley performs mass analyses on all bills of materials both up and down the BoM hierarchies and links them to the value stream.

• Soley offers the possibility to introduce conditions to these analyses that were not possible within SAP - either in general or in terms of processing time.

• Analyses that we perform with Soley used to take us several days, sometimes even several weeks and can now be done within a few minutes.

2) Motivated and solution-oriented team Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Soley?

As a Start-Up Soley tailored their Apps to the most important use cases and is continuously improving them with a motivated team. However, the UI and the flexibility of the Apps are still far from tools like Power BI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Soley:

Soley is definetely worth a look if you are dealing with a complex portfolio structure and spend a lot of time in Excel analyses. Not only will you save time, but also new use cases of the available data might come to your mind. As a tool owner I experience my counterparts at Soley as motivated and solution oriented.

However, for us Soley is and was no plug and play solution. We spend quite some time for the definition and validation of our (custom-made) analyses and will still need a tool-owner over the next year(s) for further development and maintenance of our Soley Application. What problems is Soley solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are especially interested in exclusivity analyses, e.g.: “which components are only used in the BoMs of a predefined set of products” or “which components are only delivered by a predefined set of suppliers”.

1) Phase out process:

• Soley helps us to identify components that can be phased out along with a set of products

• Using the same analysis, the other way around we can identify in how many products/BoMs a specific component is used. That way we can identify components that are used only in a very limited number of products and hence contradict the modular principle.

• Both analyses help us to streamline our active portfolio

• Soley reduces the time that we need for the technical side of these analyses down to a couple of minutes

2) Impact analyses of risky suppliers:

• Soley helps us to identify and evaluate risky suppliers at an early stage.

• Hypothetical scenario analyses can be used to substantiate the impact of potential supplier failures.

• In the case of suppliers that are rated as critical, measures can be derived in time and, thus, delivery failures can be avoided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
