**What do you like best about Snowflake?**

Snowflake's architecture is build for scalability. The data sharing capabilities are exceptional; ot requires literally zero maintainince. I would rate Snowflake the best out there in terms of easy of use, support and value for money. Pretty much everything about Snowflake is great!

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz G. | Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Snowflake?**

Built in geospatial functions in Snowflake, easy way to search the db, easy way to see parsed json in one click before querying, and all around intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

I don't like if you are working and accidentaly swipe to the left it kicks you back to the login screen. Super annoying. Also, when i work in snowsight to share queries when I save it and try to share with someone else it's still blank.

Also stop trying to push snowsight on users. Snowsight has bugs (memory issues limits on big querys) and hidden stuff (uploading data), I just want a direct log in to the classic console.

**Recommendations to others considering Snowflake:**

Dig in and play around. Use the built in geospatial functions.

**What problems is Snowflake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

querying data for adhocs, build pipelines for visuals in Tableau or other products, and keep data organized, help with geospatial queries to identify lat/long within geometries

**What do you like best about Snowflake?**

The speed at which Jira performs is exceptional and surpasses expectations. The pricing is similar to what one would usually pay for a SQL server license or a comparable tool. We have no maintenance responsibilities, and the execution speed for queries and data loading is impressive. Furthermore, Jira showcases remarkable proficiency in handling unstructured data such as JSON arrays or XML, demonstrating its exceptional capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

I would like to propose adding a feature called materialized views, which can potentially improve the performance of specific operations. It would be advantageous to have the flexibility of incorporating multiple tables within these materialized views. Furthermore, including cursor functionality would facilitate bulk updates and the execution of more advanced queries. Additionally, a valuable enhancement would be the ability to create tables as required dynamically.

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Snowflake?**

I personally love having a contact a Snowflake that reaches out to me proactively and informs me of upcoming changes, configurations needed, etc.
It seems like a very soft-core DWH tech which mostly aims to lower the barrier (and cost) for entry rather than offer the best DWH. I can see Redshift, Postgres, SQL Server etc. all be better if you have the necessary skills to manage it and money is not a big deal.

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to understanding roles and access permissions, but Snowflake has a lot of documentation out there for it (which I find easier to understand than other DB's documentation).

**What problems is Snowflake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we want new features with SQL Server, we'd have to go through the process of upgrading it to the next version and doing all of the testing necessary (etc etc), but with Snowflake, new features get rolled out as they come, and they're available for use if you want to use them

**What do you like best about Snowflake?**

It is easy to use for new bees with the UI. It can be used for multiple usecases in small scale to big scale industries. It can widely used for data applications, data lakes, data engineering, data science, etc

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

There are some gaps with certain functionalities like the the failure or success dataload intimation. There is an easy query for failure of data load but it cannot be customized and for the latter, you have to take a longer route.

**What problems is Snowflake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Snowflake helps us build a comprehensive data platform where data is accessed consistently , governed, high quality and secured. It also meets our operational needs like easy documented integration with AWS.

Snowflake Feature such as simplicity , increased performnace, high concurrency and profitability.

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

Performance low when having large volumes of data in snowflake, getting warehouse timeout error while running a base more than Million plus.

**What problems is Snowflake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Snowflake Integrates with a number of big tools including business intellignece. It helps to run a Million base querys within seconds, and infrastructure kind of cool user friendly.

  ### 49. Guided use, simplicity and easy to keep on track with your projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salvador R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Snowflake?**

The databases are easily organized. You can search them on your own. The features allow you to keep an easy track of your projects and because of that you´re able to recicle code and separate your queries according to the project.

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

Sometimes when the query fails you are not told very specifically where the error is being generated. A FAQ section should be included or a section with tips to get started with SF

**What problems is Snowflake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with relational databases without having to dowload them and work on them in R or Python. Thanks to snowflake I´m able to get just the data I need. It simplifies my job because some of the communications I send extract the most recent data from SF instead of hurrying to upload data.

  ### 50. Great, Scalable Product with a Support Gap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhusudan S. | Wordpress Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Snowflake?**

Using Snowflake has been a great experience; I appreciate how easy it is to view, analyse, and produce reports that are helpful for the organization's business decision-making. Its cloud-based nature, which eliminates the need to install software and does not affect how quickly our PCs work at all during analysis, is another feature I enjoy.

**What do you dislike about Snowflake?**

The data that needs to be imported must be structured or semi-structured; as of right now, it does not support loading unstructured data, which may be a hassle for some since it affects the price.

**What problems is Snowflake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the only database program with a user profile that can be customized to the user's unique needs for data synchronization and general data generation. Depending on how things are saved, it can even automatically generate an advantage or disadvantage. We could create a complete image of each user by connecting the system code to a customer feedback loop.
