"Easy, Reliable Snowflake–Mendix Integration with Fast Queries at Scale"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Snowflake?

I’ve been using Snowflake for about a year, mainly to pull data into and push data back from Mendix applications, and what I like best is how easy it is to work with. Integration with Mendix is simple, and the Snowflake connector module available in the Mendix Marketplace makes it even easier. I can connect, run queries, and write data back without building a lot of custom plumbing, and the connection has been reliable. Queries return quickly even on large tables, and I rarely have to think about tuning or infrastructure. Compute and storage are separated, so heavy workloads don’t slow down other users or processes, which matters when an app depends on near-real-time data.

The web interface is also clean and easy to navigate. I can write and test SQL, check query history, and manage roles and warehouses without much of a learning curve. Overall it’s a stable, scalable platform that takes a lot of the database administration work off my plate, so I can focus on the integration logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

The initial setup around roles, privileges, and authentication takes some effort when connecting an external app like Mendix, and the documentation has few examples for specific integration scenarios. Snowsight’s editor is also a bit limited compared to dedicated SQL tools, and support response times on non-urgent tickets can be slow, but these are minor issues overall.

Also, no native desktop client, so I rely on third-party tools when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
