One thing I like about the SmartSuite product is how it gives me flexible tooling which is essential for coordinating activities around deployment across several different teams. I am able to maintain separate records for all aspects of this process including environment readiness, configuration changes, release interdependence, and post-deployment checks in one place. Setting up workspace in a way that both technical and non-technical users will find this useful can be quite complicated. If there would be unnecessary complexity in the way of updating fields that don't relate to them because they are not carefully configured then the user would definitely get lost in the process.
