"An excellent solution to optimise coordination and collaboration in teams."
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack provides strong goal alignment, fosters team motivation and efficiency, and facilitates peer learning. Keeping a constant, up-to-date record of ongoing tasks in the channel ensures that every team member stays aligned with the product roadmap. In addition, we can customise alerts, notifications and commands according to our priorities, thus avoiding missing important notifications. It is also possible to gather team feedback on any new changes through quick and engaging polls or surveys, thanks to integration with third-party applications. Meetings with the whole project team provide us with timely updates on a regular basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Unfortunately, @mention notifications are often delayed, resulting in a backlog of unread messages and a lack of relevant notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slack Supercharges Productivity with Powerful Integrations"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is truly impressive—it's much more than a simple communication channel. It offers a wide range of features designed to boost productivity, such as planners, work lists, and the ability to integrate third-party apps like Google Calendar, Jira, Notion, Figma, and many others, allowing you to manage everything in one place. I've been using Slack for several years now, and it has completely changed the way I work. There's also a free version available with limited features, making it easy for anyone to start small and scale up as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The notifications are confusing, as they often get lost either on my phone or laptop. The huddles, which are supposed to make quick meetings easier, frequently suffer from connectivity problems and poor audio clarity, so one or both participants can't hear each other and we usually have to switch to gmeet to continue. Aside from these issues, everything else works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Fast, and Perfect for Team Collaboration"
What do you like best about Slack?

I really appreciate Slack because it helps me and my team stay connected without the typical confusion that comes with email threads. The use of channels makes organizing conversations by project incredibly straightforward, and the search function is a lifesaver-I rely on it daily to quickly locate past messages, files, or updates from clients. I frequently use the mobile app as well, and it syncs seamlessly with the desktop version, ensuring I never miss any important information. The integrations with Google Drive and Notion also make it easy to centralize our entire workflow in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

As a digital marketer using Slack daily, I honestly don’t have any complaints. It’s fast, organized, and handles communication perfectly, so nothing stands out as a downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Group Chats and File Management"
What do you like best about Slack?

I appreciate how the platform organizes conversations into chats and groups, and I also like that it allows us to create separate, combined groups of people. Additionally, the built-in system for browsing various types of files, such as text, documents, or videos, is very convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

For someone new, it can be confusing at first when you are tagged, as you might see the notification but have trouble figuring out exactly where you were mentioned. However, after spending some time with it, you start to get the hang of how it works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My personal review on slack as a 5 year exp software dev"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slacks ability to integrate seamlessly with my development workflow is what I find most appealing. I can integrate it with Jenkins GitHub and project tracking tools so that build code review and deployment notifications are sent to the same location. With slash commands and keyboard shortcuts communication is nearly as quick as coding and keeps the team in sync without requiring constant context switching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Slacks tendency to quickly become cluttered in large development teams is what I dislike about it. Continuous notifications from integrations and daily banter obscure important updates. It is excellent for brief conversations but it is also a poor medium for historical technical context decisions will be forgotten if they are not documented elsewhere. "Essential for Efficient Team Communication and Collaboration"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack helps our company stay together and communicate efficiently. It excels due to channel-based organization, which neatly segments communication by project or team, providing a complete, searchable history for everyone. Also, its vast number of integrations allows users to manage tasks, receive alerts, and approve requests from apps like Jira or Salesforce without ever leaving the conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The constant stream of notifications in multiple channels creates notification overload. Also, key decisions and context often get buried in long, chaotic threads, making it hard to use the search function effectively to retrieve crucial information from the past. "Streamlined Communication with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Slack?

I like that with Slack, things can be as separate or together as you want them to be, which helps me keep things organized. I find threaded messages to be an extra layer of organization, where I can segment conversations within a topic without things getting jumbled together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Group messages have a great purpose, but being able to name a group chat would help. Some things don't need to be a whole new channel but having multiple group chats often include some of the same people, can cause that section of the side bar to get too long. You could have person A, B, and C in a chat, and then A, C, and D, and/or A, D, F. In your side list where all those are found, they will all start with person A's name, so you have to click to figure out which chat it was you're looking for. If you could give each chat group a name (basically like naming a channel) but not have to create a channel for each group, it saves time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slack: The Digital Watercooler That Doesn't Spill"
What do you like best about Slack?

One of my go-to Slack hacks? Use the /remind command to set up recurring nudges—like /remind me to stretch every 2 hours on weekdays—it keeps you from turning into a pretzel during those marathon coding sessions. Super simple, but it feels like having a tiny productivity elf in your pocket. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Ah, the flip side—fair question. As someone who's simulated more Slack pings than a caffeinated squirrel, my biggest gripe is the relentless notification avalanche. It's like the app's allergic to silence; even with Do Not Disturb, random "thread updates" or "someone reacted to your message" can bury you under a digital snowdrift. In 2025, with AI summaries trying to help, it still feels half-baked—great for recaps, but it doesn't stop the initial flood. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Team Communication and Boosts Productivity"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack's main upsides are streamlining team communication and collaboration through organized channels, reducing email clutter, integrating with numerous other apps (like Google Drive, Salesforce, Trello), enabling powerful search for past info, and automating routine tasks via Workflow Builder, ultimately boosting productivity and keeping everyone on the same page. It allows real-time messaging, file sharing, voice/video calls, and even connects external partners through Slack Connect, making it versatile for teams of all sizes.Slack's main benefits include enhanced collaboration, improved communication, and increased productivity through features like organized channels, searchable history, file sharing, and integrations with other apps. It centralizes conversations and files into a single workspace, making it easier to find information, stay connected with team members (both internal and external), and automate repetitive tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The main downsides of Slack include notification overload leading to distraction, overwhelming message volume in busy channels, potential for miscommunication without non-verbal cues, significant privacy/security risks (lack of end-to-end encryption), poor mobile performance/syncing, limitations on free plans (storage, history), and its potential to create an asymmetrical workload (some get many pings, others can't focus). "Effortless Team Collaboration and Seamless Integration"
What do you like best about Slack?

What I appreciate most about Slack is how straightforward it was to roll out to our team and how rapidly everyone adapted to using it. We rely on it several times a day for communication, sharing updates, and collaborating on projects, no matter their size. Whenever we've had questions, the customer support team has been quick to respond, which has made the transition even smoother. I also value Slack's seamless integration with the other tools we depend on, ensuring that our messages, files, and project data remain connected. This connectivity really helps our team stay coordinated and work efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

One thing I find less helpful about Slack is that it can get overwhelming when there are too many channels or threads, especially on large projects. It’s easy for important messages to get lost, and notifications can become distracting if not managed carefully. While it’s a powerful collaboration tool, staying organized requires some discipline and setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Knowledge Management and Lightning-Fast Search"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack truly excels at preserving live, easily retrievable knowledge. Each channel, thread, and message is carefully indexed and stored, resulting in a chronological record of the team's decisions, conversations, and shared files. The advanced search feature is impressively fast, offering filters by user, date, file type, or even within shared documents. This ensures that the context behind a decision made a year ago is just as accessible as the answer to a question asked today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

While Slack offers robust archiving features, managing information actively over the long term can be difficult. As time passes, unused channels and outdated files tend to build up. It would be beneficial if Slack introduced automated content curation tools or administrative dashboards that make it easier to bulk clean and archive inactive channels. Such improvements would help organizations maintain a more organized digital workspace and allow users to locate important information more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
