Ease of communication and fewer emails! I am one of a handful of remote workers in the US while our main office is in Germany. It is very easy to learn and use. I like being able to easily create additional threads and channels if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Slack? Sometimes there is too much "Slack noise." This is where people are replying to lots of threads too often or you are getting too many notifications. In some cases, people don't realize that it is better to do a call than to end up with a 100 reply thread. It is worth noting that sometimes when things are read they can be interpreted differently. The good thing is that it is easy to do a quick call on Slack. Be careful that you do not join too many channels as it can be hard to keep up with and feel stressful trying to read everything. What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you? Communication. I used to wake up in the morning and have at least 30 emails a day to check through. I also feel like I'm more of a part of the team as the conversions aren't going on behind closed doors. It is much easier to keep others up to date on the latest decisions.
