"Organized, Professional Collaboration That Keeps Our Community Connected"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Slack?

I’ve been using Slack for my Handshake AI projects community, and overall my experience has been very positive. I really like how easy it is to communicate with different people while keeping project discussions clear and organized.

Channels make it simple to separate conversations by project or topic, and tools like threads, file sharing, notifications, and direct messages make collaboration smoother. I also appreciate being able to quickly search for past conversations and important details, rather than having everything mixed together in one long chat.

For a community-based project environment, Slack feels organized, professional, and easy to use. It’s helped me stay connected with the community and keep up with project updates more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The biggest downside is that Slack can sometimes feel overwhelming when there are lots of active channels, messages, and notifications coming in at once. Finding older information can also take time, especially in larger communities where conversations move quickly. Some of the AI features and other advanced options may require a bit of a learning curve before they feel intuitive. During meetings or huddles, the experience can vary depending on internet quality, and when multiple conversations are happening at the same time, it can occasionally be hard to stay focused. Overall, these are manageable issues, but stronger organization tools and more flexible notification controls would make the experience even smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slack helps me solve the communication and coordination challenges I face while working with the Handshake AI project community. Instead of relying on scattered messages, I can use dedicated channels to follow project discussions, updates, announcements, and questions in one place. Threads and search make it easier to follow specific conversations and find previous information when needed. Direct messages are useful for one-to-one communication, while huddles and meetings help when a discussion is easier to handle in real time. Overall, Slack keeps the community organized, helps me stay updated, and makes collaboration much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
