"Fast, Organized Team Messaging with Powerful Integrations and Smart Summaries"

5/5

What do you like best about Slack?

The real-time messaging makes team communication fast and easy, cutting down on long email threads. Organizing conversations into channels helps keep discussions relevant and searchable, and integrations with other tools (like Google Drive, Zoom, or project management apps) mean I can stay in one place instead of switching between apps constantly. It also makes it easy to loop in the right people quickly, whether that's a quick DM or tagging someone in a channel.

We've also integrated a chatbot that tracks our daily tasks and summarizes what we've worked on over the day or month, which makes it easy to stay on top of progress without digging through old messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The biggest downside is the free tier's message history limit — older conversations get hidden or removed unless you upgrade, which can be frustrating when you need to reference something from a while back. Notifications can also get overwhelming if you're in a lot of channels, and it's easy for important messages to get buried in fast-moving conversations. The paid plans can also add up in cost as a team grows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slack solves the problem of scattered, slow communication — replacing long email chains with real-time messaging organized into channels by team, project, or topic. This makes it easier to find relevant conversations, loop in the right people quickly, and keep discussions searchable instead of buried in inboxes.

The main benefit is faster collaboration and less time wasted switching between tools or waiting on email replies, since most day-to-day communication and updates happen in one central place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
