"Intuitive Interface, Smooth Integrations, and Threads That Keep Teams Organized"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Slack?

Slack’s intuitive interface and smooth integrations have made it an indispensable part of our day-to-day workflow. The ability to connect apps like Google Drive, Jira, and GitHub directly within our channels significantly cuts down on context switching and keeps everything in one place. I also really value the threading feature, since it helps keep individual conversations organized without cluttering the main channel view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The biggest downside is the pricing structure for smaller or growing teams. On the free tier, the limited message history is a major pain point because you lose access to past decisions and shared files. Upgrading does address this issue, but the per-user cost can become expensive quickly as your organization scales, which ultimately hurts the overall ROI for smaller businesses. What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

In our remote setup, we struggled to maintain team alignment and keep communication moving quickly across different time zones. Slack addresses this by giving us a centralized hub for real-time messaging, asynchronous updates, and quick audio Huddles when we need to talk things through. As a result, our team feels more connected, project turnarounds are faster, and our company culture is noticeably stronger despite the physical distance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
