## Sitecore Digital Experience Platform Reviews
 ### 1. Flexible, Personalized Experiences

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krunal M. | SItecore Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The platform is very flexible and works well for building large, modern websites. Content authors find it easy to use, thanks to tools like the Experience Editor and ready-made components, so publishing and updating pages doesn't require deep technical skill.
From a developer side, Sitecore connects smoothly with .NET, React, Next.js, APIs, and other third-party tools like CRM and analytics platforms. This makes it easier to build a fully connected digital setup instead of relying on many separate systems.
Performance is solid too, especially when caching and indexing are set up correctly. It's a premium product, but for medium and large businesses, it usually pays off because it combines content management, personalization, marketing tools, and analytics in one place.
Sitecore also offers good documentation, an active user community, and free training through Sitecore Learn, which helps new team members get up to speed quickly. Lastly, I like that Sitecore keeps adding AI features across XM Cloud, Search, Personalize, and Stream, which help with smarter content suggestions and faster content creation.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The biggest downside is the learning curve. Because it's such a feature-packed platform, new developers and even content authors need real time to get comfortable with how it's structured, how deployments work, and how the different modules fit together. Initial setup and version upgrades can also feel complicated compared to simpler CMS tools.

Cost is another factor. Licensing and implementation aren't cheap, so it's harder to justify for small businesses or teams with tight budgets. To get the best performance, you also need skilled developers who know how to properly set up caching, search indexes, and infrastructure — it's not very forgiving for beginners.

Sitecore has improved a lot with XM Cloud and AI features, but some older parts of the platform still need manual configuration. Also, when you're using multiple products together — like CDP, Personalize, Search, and XM Cloud — the setup can get more complex than expected. It would help if onboarding was simpler and the different products connected together more smoothly out of the box.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore helps us manage large, multi-site, multilingual websites from one place instead of juggling separate tools for content, personalization, search, and analytics. This makes running enterprise-level websites much easier to handle.

As a developer, it's boosted our productivity since we can build using modern headless setups with React, Next.js, and XM Cloud, while still connecting easily to outside systems like CRMs and marketing platforms through APIs. On the content side, authors can make updates on their own without waiting on developers, which speeds things up for everyone.

Overall, Sitecore has helped our team deliver personalized, scalable websites faster, cut down repetitive development work, and improve how developers and business teams collaborate on new features and content.

 ### 2. Intuitive XM Cloud, Excellent Performance, and Reliable Sitecore Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakesh B. | Technical Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I’ve been working with Sitecore for over 10 years. I started on version 8.2, and I was fascinated the first time I dug into the configuration files. I’m still impressed by how open the framework is and how straightforward it is to integrate with multiple systems.

With Sitecore XM Cloud, the interface feels intuitive, especially for newer developers getting used to the modern SaaS world of DXP. The performance and the built-in AI capabilities of the SaaS CMS are excellent. I also really value Sitecore’s support system—it’s been a reliable source of suggestions and guidance whenever I’ve run into more challenging situations. I remember the support given by the Sitecore team when we are working with first version of Sitecore commerce.

That said, I do wish the pricing were more flexible.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

As such, nothing in particular, but the documentation—especially for new products—should be improved. The documentation should include clear examples and any required configuration details. I also feel there is a steep learning curve, and no trial license is available (partners can use the partner license).

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform’s ability to customize and extend is a big strength. I remember customizing it to integrate with an external AI engine and setting up a Content Hub integration with ease, which really showed the platform’s robustness, stability, and scalability. I also really like the Sitecore marketing automation and personalization features in XP. On top of that, I’m a big fan of the Sitecore PowerShell Extension (SPE), which makes developers’ lives much easier by automating repetitive administrative and content management tasks.

 ### 3. Sitecore XM Cloud: A Premium Headless SaaS with Powerful AI and Continuous Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vasu G. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I have worked with Sitecore for quite some time now—more than 8 years, to be precise. Over that period, I’ve seen its evolution from a traditional content management system into a strong headless SaaS product. My journey from the Experience Editor to the new Page Builder has been nothing but amazing.

I also really like how Sitecore AI can integrate with other platforms, such as Content Hub, and even more through Sitecore Connect. Throughout my journey with Sitecore, I’ve worked with different clients, and Sitecore has consistently addressed issues—or, I should say, listened to customer and partner feedback—and improved performance gaps wherever possible.

When it comes to pricing and the support Sitecore provides, I’d say it’s as competitive as any other headless CMS in the market. Honestly, I see it as a premium product for the price and the features it comes with. The new Agentic Studio and App Studio have delivered exactly what we need in this AI-focused world. I was genuinely impressed by how Marketer MCP can create content in bulk and make content authors’ lives so much easier.
I have reached out to sitecore support quite a few times in this journey. They might not be able to solve all your problem but they have proven that they are willing to listen to your feedback and register your case as a bug or feature request.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

One thing that I did not like when xm cloud initially came was how limited extensibility was. You know a lot of business cases were seemingly impossible to do without the extensibility. But with introduction of marketplace apps that problem has been addressed.
Also, I still remember when i started with Forms in XM cloud, there was no option for cascaded dropdown and probably needed workaround for it.
I reached out to sitecore support and they registered a feature request for it. As I mentioned earlier sitecore is good at listening to feedback given to them which makes it really good.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would say one problem I had nightmares with initially working with Sitecore was probably an upgrade where one dll might even takes days of debugging and still scratching your head. Good thing is with Sitecore AI as they call it now or Sitecore XM Cloud, those days are behind me. With Sitecore AI, I am getting all the features without worrying about the upgrades and it saves a lot of effort, resource and cost.

 ### 4. Powerful Platform with Future-Proof Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ojas S. | Associate Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I am impressed with Sitecore Digital Experience Platform because it provides headless development, which supports future-proof solutions. The flexible and enterprise-grade capabilities allow me to customize the platform to meet specific needs. I also enjoy the seamless integrations that make it easy for customers to use their existing data with Sitecore. Additionally, the multilingual support is a great feature for making solutions suitable for customers across multiple regions. I find these features make Sitecore DXP an exciting tool to work with.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Content authoring saving the changes and update of content is slow sometimes which can be improved to have fast development. Whenever I make any changes to a content item, saving it and publishing does not immediately make the content live. On working locally, sometimes it takes a lot of time to save content changes, which is not good for development.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Sitecore Digital Experience Platform supports multiple sites efficiently, headless development, marketing, analytics, seamless integrations, and multi-lingual support, making it suitable for global customers.

 ### 5. Friendly UI That Bridges Marketing and Tech

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rizwan D. | Product Manager - D2C, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The best part about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is how the UI is friendly for marketeers and bridges the gap between Tech and Marketing.

From a customer perspective, Sitecore Digital Experience Platforms allow companies to meet the customer where they are, rather than bringing customers to what the brand wants to show.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I don’t have any dislikes at all about Sitecore AI, which we recently transitioned to. With Sitecore XM, there were a few limitations—especially the lack of direct visibility into content changes and the need to keep toggling between the UAT environments and the CMS to confirm that updates were reflecting the way they should.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore helps us solve several problems:

Centralized content management: Business users can create and update pages without relying on developers for every change.
Component-based page creation: Reusable components allow us to launch campaign pages and product pages much faster while maintaining design consistency.
Multi-site management: We manage multiple websites on the same platform while keeping governance, branding, and permissions under control. I own KTM India, Chetak, and a few other websites and it helps me manage them centrally.
Approval workflows and versioning: Content goes through structured review and approval before publishing, reducing errors and ensuring compliance.
Scalability: As we launch new products, campaigns, or microsites, we can reuse existing templates and components instead of building everything from scratch.

 ### 6. Seamless Omnichannel Content Delivery with Sitecore XM Headless Approach

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shagun C. | Lead Systems Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

We are using Headless CMS Architecture which allows seamless content delivery across web, mobile, Kiosk, Tablet using APIs for flexible omnichannel experiences.
Showcasing Different content for Mobile v/s Kiosk v/s Web is configured with section based handling and API passing to front end, we can easily show relevant content on the specific category.
We are using this for our B2C Application AdaniOne, which is having Sitecore XM as the CMS and gives us flexibility to change content without rolling out App builds.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

As of now, None and this is actually our Primary and Only CMS

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having App roll out for content changes is not an option for us, This is where Sitecore comes up with CMS and API experience which lets us change the content without App Build.
Even switching on payment players or changing any payment player is all configured via Sitecore itself

 ### 7. Stable, Feature-Rich CMS with Powerful Personalization and Flexible Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash S. | Associate Tech Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore as a CMS is very stable and loaded with functionality to support personalization, rules, search, etc. With SitecoreAI, there are different ways to edit content using the page builder. It also supports custom applications through Marketplace integration. Sitecore offers different pricing options based on client requirements. There is also a Sitecore Official Learning website with online and instructor-led training on different Sitecore products.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Discontinuing enhancement and support for some older product such as Sitecore Commerce.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Sitecore, managing content across multiple regional websites was chaotic updates had to be done manually on each site using xml or json file, which was time consuming and error-prone.
After implementation, we can now manage and publish content centrally in one place, which has cut our content deployment time by nearly 60% and reduced dependency on the dev team for routine updates.

 ### 8. Sitecore DXP: Scalable, Integrated Platform for Personalized Experiences

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham T. | Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

What I like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is its ability to bring together content management, personalization, and digital experience capabilities within a single enterprise platform.

UI / UX: The platform provides content authors and marketers with intuitive tools for managing content and delivering consistent experiences across channels, while offering flexibility for creating modern user experiences.
Integrations: Sitecore integrates well with enterprise ecosystems, including CRM, marketing automation, analytics, commerce, and custom business applications, making it easier to create connected customer journeys.
Performance: The platform is highly scalable and capable of supporting large volumes of content and traffic when properly architected, making it suitable for enterprise-level digital experiences.
Pricing / ROI: While Sitecore represents a significant investment, its broad feature set, scalability, and ability to consolidate multiple digital experience capabilities into a single platform can deliver strong long-term value and operational efficiencies.
Support / Onboarding: Sitecore provides comprehensive documentation, training resources, and partner support, helping teams accelerate onboarding and adopt platform best practices.
AI / Intelligence: The continued investment in AI-powered capabilities, including content optimization, personalization, and productivity enhancements, helps organizations improve customer engagement and enables teams to work more efficiently.

Overall, Sitecore's combination of flexibility, enterprise scalability, integration capabilities, and growing AI features makes it a strong platform for delivering personalized digital experiences at scale.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

While Sitecore is a powerful enterprise platform, there are several areas where the experience could be improved:

UI / UX: Some administrative and authoring interfaces can feel complex and fragmented, resulting in a steeper learning curve for new users and requiring additional training for content teams.
Integrations: Although Sitecore offers extensive integration capabilities, implementing and maintaining integrations can require significant development effort, particularly when connecting multiple third-party platforms and services.
Performance: Achieving optimal performance often requires careful architecture, infrastructure tuning, and ongoing maintenance. Performance troubleshooting can sometimes be challenging due to the number of interconnected components involved.
Pricing / ROI: Licensing, infrastructure, and implementation costs can be substantial, making it difficult for organizations to fully realize ROI without significant adoption and utilization of the platform's capabilities.
Support / Onboarding: While support quality is generally good, resolution times for complex technical issues can vary. Onboarding new teams often requires a considerable investment in training and platform-specific expertise.
AI / Intelligence: AI capabilities are improving, but there is still an opportunity for deeper native AI integration, more mature content-generation workflows, and clearer guidance on how organizations can effectively adopt and operationalize AI features.

Overall, the primary challenges relate to platform complexity, cost, and the effort required to implement, operate, and fully leverage the platform in large enterprise environments.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Sitecore DXP, we struggled with managing content across multiple digital channels, relied heavily on developers for routine content updates, and faced challenges integrating various enterprise systems.

With Sitecore, we now have a centralized platform that enables business users to manage content more efficiently, supports seamless integrations, and delivers consistent digital experiences at scale. This has reduced content publishing times, improved operational efficiency, and allowed us to focus more on enhancing customer experiences rather than managing multiple disconnected systems.

Overall, Sitecore has helped us streamline content management, improve scalability, and deliver better digital experiences while reducing the effort required to maintain our digital estate.

 ### 9. Developer Review on Sitecore Experience Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradeep G. | Senior Sitecore Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

What I like most about Sitecore DXP is its ability to bring content management, personalization, marketing capabilities, and headless delivery together in a single enterprise platform.

Over the years, I've worked on large-scale Sitecore implementations, and one thing I've consistently appreciated is how flexible the platform is. Whether it's integrating with external systems, supporting multi-site and multi-language deployments, implementing custom business workflows, or adopting modern headless architectures with JSS and Next.js, Sitecore provides the extensibility needed for complex enterprise requirements.

I also value how Sitecore has evolved from a traditional CMS into a complete Digital Experience Platform. Features like personalization, analytics, XM Cloud, Content Hub, and composable architecture enable organizations to deliver better digital experiences while giving developers and content authors the flexibility they need.

From a technical perspective, the most rewarding aspect has been solving complex business problems on Sitecore while maintaining scalability, performance, and governance across enterprise environments.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

One challenge I've experienced with Sitecore is the platform's complexity and the steep learning curve associated with its ecosystem. Over the years, Sitecore has evolved significantly, and developers are now expected to understand not only the CMS itself but also headless development, XM Cloud, Content Hub, serialization, CLI, GraphQL, DevOps pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.

Another challenge is that many organizations use only a subset of Sitecore's capabilities. As a result, developers can spend years working primarily on content management and custom development while having limited exposure to advanced DXP features such as personalization, analytics, marketing automation, and composable products. This sometimes creates a gap between what the platform offers and what teams actually implement.

I also feel that Sitecore's frequent product evolution requires continuous upskilling. While innovation is positive, keeping up with new architectures, deployment models, and products can be demanding for development teams.

That said, these challenges are largely a reflection of Sitecore's breadth as an enterprise platform rather than shortcomings in the product itself.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore solves the challenge of managing complex digital experiences across multiple websites, regions, languages, and business units from a centralized platform. It helps organizations maintain content consistency, governance, and scalability while enabling marketing and content teams to work independently without relying heavily on developers for day-to-day content updates.

In the projects I've worked on, Sitecore has helped streamline content management, support multi-site architectures, integrate with external business systems, and provide a structured approach to delivering digital experiences at scale. Instead of building and maintaining custom solutions for every requirement, we can leverage Sitecore's content management, workflow, security, and extensibility capabilities.

From my perspective as a developer, this has benefited me by allowing me to focus on solving complex business and integration challenges rather than repeatedly building foundational CMS functionality. It has also given me exposure to enterprise architecture, performance optimization, cloud deployments, headless development, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives, which have significantly contributed to my professional growth over the years.

 ### 10. Powerful CMS tool with built in connector for Sitecore DAM.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul K. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The ease of personalisation for content authors and the flexibility in customisation for developers. The experience platform allows content authors to do real time live editing of the webpage and its very user friendly, just by having basic knowledge of the application can allow content authors to create personalised content for users based on their needs.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I don’t exactly dislike it, but compared with other products, this one also needs an upgrade, and the process was tedious. Now with XM cloud which is SAAS this major problem is solved. I am yet to upgrade our website to XM cloud.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For Analog.com the main focus is to maintain all the products and resources under a single CMS. We are using Sitecore XP and Sitecore Content hub to manage all our assets at a single place and make the authors life easier. we are using DAM connector for pulling all our images from content hub. We have our website in multiple languages and regions which is also very easily managed in Sitecore.

 ### 11. Powerful Platform for Personalized Digital Experiences

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahil K. | Senior Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore DXP stands out for its powerful personalization, enterprise-grade content management, and seamless omnichannel experience delivery. It enables marketing teams to manage content efficiently while using customer data and analytics to create targeted, engaging digital experiences.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

There are occasional areas where workflows could be simplified to improve ease of use for new users. Because the platform is feature-rich, it may take some time to become familiar with all available capabilities. However, once implemented, it provides strong value for enterprise digital experience management.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform helps centralize content management, personalization, and digital experience delivery across multiple channels. It enables our client's to manage website content more efficiently, maintain a consistent customer experience, and deliver more relevant content to different audience segments. This has improved content publishing workflows, reduced manual effort, and helped create more engaging digital experiences for users.

 ### 12. Versatile Platform, Needs Improved Publishing Speed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Varalakshmi M. | Digital Experience Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I like the security and governance features of the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform, as well as the analytics it offers. The content management system is effective, and it reduces the development effort needed for content updates. It creates better engagement for customers through personalization, and it's consistent across many platforms. The cross-channeling capability is also helpful. It's fast when it comes to time-to-market for new features and campaigns, which I find valuable.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I would say the publishing time needs improvement. AI powered personalization will be more helpful, like recommending content based on user behavior and predicting customer intent. Delivery time real-time personalization is a good thing to explore in this DXP. Also, improving the content authoring for faster performance would be good. Keyboard navigation validation, like access accessibility, can be improved as well.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform helps create, manage, personalize, and optimize digital experiences across channels. It centralizes content, supports multisite and multilingual needs, and automates marketing. It offers robust security, scalability, and analytics, reducing development effort and enhancing cross-channel engagement.

 ### 13. Powerful Centralized Content Management with Advanced Personalization and Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean R. | Executive Consultant - Enterprise Platforms & Digital Transformation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The most helpful aspect of Sitecore DXP is its ability to centralize complex content management with sophisticated personalization. The integration between the CMS and the experience analytics allows for a holistic view of the customer journey. For an enterprise team, the granular control over the UI/UX across multiple regions and languages is a massive upside, as it ensures brand consistency while allowing for local flexibility. It significantly improves workflow by providing a single source of truth for high-performance marketing assets

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

While Sitecore is powerful, the complexity of the UI/UX can lead to a steep learning curve for new marketing users. The platform requires significant technical overhead for initial setup and custom integrations, which can impact the speed of onboarding. Additionally, because it is so robust, performance can sometimes lag if the infrastructure isn't perfectly optimized, making it feel heavy compared to more agile, headless alternatives. Streamlining the administrative interface would greatly improve daily efficiency for non-technical teams.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Sitecore, we struggled with fragmented customer data and inconsistent messaging across our global digital properties. We were manually managing content for different regions, which led to significant delays in campaign launches.
Now, we can leverage Sitecore’s centralized content hub and automated personalization rules. This has resulted in a much faster time-to-market for our marketing teams and a more cohesive user experience. The ability to track a customer's journey from their first search through to conversion within a single ecosystem has significantly improved our ability to attribute revenue to specific digital touchpoints

 ### 14. Strong Personalization and Content Management with Sitecore DXP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jyoti B. | Engineering Manager, D&T Sitecore, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

What I like best about Sitecore DXP is how it connects content with personalization. You can manage reusable content and components, then use visitor behavior, goals, and rules to show more relevant experiences to different users. It gives marketers more control while still keeping the site structured and scalable for developers.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

One downside is that Sitecore can be hard to learn at first because it has many products, features, and settings. Even with the SaaS version, teams may need time to understand how content, personalization, analytics, and integrations work together. For older Sitecore setups, upgrades and migrations can also take extra planning.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore DXP helps solve the problem of managing content, customer data, and personalization in separate tools. It brings everything into one platform, so teams can update content, reuse it across pages or sites, and show more relevant information to users.
It is also useful for managing large websites with many pages, languages, and regions. Shared templates, reusable content, and workflows help reduce duplicate work, keep the brand experience consistent, and make publishing updates easier across different markets.

 ### 15. Sitecore: Powerful CMS and DMS with strong AI capability within one platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is one of the best platform to manage any enterprise level content management system with inbuilt analytics through Sitecore XP or headless composable stack like Sitecore Personalize and CDP. So it gives the organization a centralized place to manage all this stuffs. Not only, this features, it also help with making enterprise level security readily available to user through permissions workflows etc. Now Sitecore AI with agentic studio is game changer in terms of integrating modern front end stack with backend contents through microservice api like rest and layout endpoints. So its a full suite readily available to you to make you website go live with all needed features.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I strongly believe that Sitecore AI product really lacks forms which are core feature for any website. Earlier Sitecore XP was having Sitecore Forms which was very good in terms of development as well as from extension point but XM Cloud forms are very basic and in real world that is not that useful. Content Hub is one of the good product in DAM ecosystem but documentation its very generic and lack useful information which can be improved. AI and agentic world which is evolving should also have more concrete examples with some real use cases which can help organization to take idea and propose to their client for any ROI

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore is always an evolving product and team behind is working effortlessly. For any content management with enterprise level security, who want to provide omnichannel experience, this is the go to product from my side. From development perspective, introducing headless with modern front end perspective, it provides flexible api and sdk for quick development. Now introducing Sitecore agents, MCP which is helping marketers is another feather in this product. Marketplace app for extension in Sitecore AI is one more important feature they release which overcome your bottleneck when working with SAAS application. **Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I like Sitecore Digital Experience Platform because it offers ease of use and contains all the DXP features generally needed for any client. The inline editing in Headless and the Page builder are particularly impressive. I also appreciate how easily it integrates with other products like CDP, Personalize, and AI-based search. The recent AI features are very helpful. I find the platform stable and scalable, with a robust API that allows easy customization and an open architecture for required changes. The support service and documentation provided by Sitecore are commendable, and it has stable releases that scale easily.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Agentic studio workflow agents' documentation and provide at least one sample for each system like CMS, Personalize, CDP, etc.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like Sitecore Digital Experience Platform's ease of use, stable and scalable system, robust API, and the integration with other products. Inline editing and AI features are helpful. I find it solves issues other DXPs have like lack of API robustness and missing features like Page Builder.

 ### 17. Empowers Marketers with Intuitive Tools, Needs Better CRM Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I like that the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is a user-friendly tool for marketers, as it avoids the need for developer interaction for web updates. It's great that marketers can easily make content updates and access the media library to update media, and even drag and drop fields to build small marketing forms for user inputs, minimizing delay and dependency on developers. I appreciate the personalization features, allowing us to tailor content based on user location, role, or interests, which helps in drawing more attention and getting users to spend more time on our content. Compared to other CMS platforms like WordPress and Umbraco, Sitecore offers more marketer-friendly tools with its drag-and-drop functionality, enabling marketers to author content and manage personalization easily. I definitely value that. The detailed documentation and large community support make the initial setup relatively straightforward. Lastly, I would definitely recommend Sitecore Digital Experience Platform, giving it a 10 out of 10 rating, as it is the best.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Marketing automation could have been improved better by adding more features like CRM and license cost.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sitecore Digital Experience Platform for user-friendly web updates and personalization. It streamlines content updates, reduces developer dependency, and tailors content based on user metrics, enhancing user engagement.

 ### 18. Easy to use and customize. Great options to deliver personalised experiences

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dean O. | Senior .Net Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The backend user interface is easy to use for our marketing teams, both in terms of basic content creation as well as some of the more advanced features that allow authors to personalize elements to different audiences.
As a developer, extensibility is a real strength of the product. If something is not available out of the box, then the steps required to customise a new feature follow similar patterns across the platform. There is also a large community of developers who love the product and are happy to help with any issues.
One of the main selling points is the ability to profile users as they navigate the site, then be able to target content accordingly. With such a diverse volume of data contained within a site, anything that can be done to help the user find the information they require is a real benefit.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Over the last few years, there has been a large push to make the product more composable, but at the cost of further development of the original product. All products/features now come as new services or modules that need to be purchased at a significant cost. Whilst I appreciate they are a business and need to make returns on their investments, this leaves long standing customers who are not able to further invest; left with a product with less new features.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product allows 100s of authors from within the university to easily create and manage pages within our website. It allows us to gather information about a users browsing behaviour and then personalise the content that we show them based on that data.

Sitecore is particularly known for its advanced personalization features. Teams can customize content based on user behavior, geography, device type, referral source, customer profile, and more, helping create highly relevant experiences.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore is primarily designed for enterprise organizations and often involves a significant investment. The total cost of ownership typically includes licensing fees, cloud infrastructure, implementation services, ongoing maintenance, and the need for specialized developer training and expertise. As a result, cost is frequently cited as one of the key considerations when evaluating the platform.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform helps address several key challenges in managing and delivering digital experiences. It enables organizations to centralize content management across multiple channels, deliver personalized experiences based on customer behavior, and streamline marketing activities through automation and analytics. The platform also supports scalability for large, multi-site, and multi-language environments. These capabilities benefit our organization by improving content governance, enhancing customer engagement through personalized interactions, reducing operational inefficiencies, and providing actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making. **What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken L. | Supervisor, Digital Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The Sitecore Digital Experience Platform helps our marketing team update webpages, personalize and search for content in an organized way. It has allowed us to scale our operations accordingly and makes it easier for an enterprise-level organization to connect with other platforms within our broader tech stack. We have had great customer service and the platform allows for our web producers to build, developers to create components and connections, and for marketers to do what is best: marketing. We utilize the platform daily.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I would say that there is not much to dislike. What is most relevant to note is that it is intended for enterprise-level organizations. You do need to ensure that you are hiring individuals with Sitecore-expertise and that you understand that there is a bit more setup involved. The platform once set up for your unique needs allows you to scale easier. When thought out properly the integration is relatively smooth for developers and for users.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For our organization it solves several key business problems and challenges. First, it helped us unify our disparate websites and consolidate them into 3 key sites. These sites are easier to update and manage and the capabilities are limitless based on our ideas of where we want to go. Second, our site load times increased significantly along with a decrease in downtime. Sitecore has allowed us to make pages load faster and more consistently. We have been able to have consistent code across our websites which allows us to remain on brand. Third, the platform allows us to scale much easier; which for us means the ability to integrate other key systems within our stack but also being able to leverage other capabilities and functionality easier as it becomes available. Lastly, we have been able to find highly-qualified talent with the proper expertise to help us maintain and grow our usage. This is applicable to both our developer side as well as web production.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhu A. | Principal Enterprise Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is characterized by its ability to unify content, personalization, and data into a seamless ecosystem that serves both marketers and developers. It empowers organizations to deliver meaningful, behavior-driven digital experiences at scale while maintaining enterprise-grade flexibility, governance, and integration capabilities. Beyond the technology, the strength of the Sitecore community and continuous innovation make it more than just a platform — it’s a true experience-driven ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

While I deeply value Sitecore DXP, one challenge from a Sitecore MVP perspective is its complexity — especially in traditional XP implementations. The learning curve can be steep for new teams, and infrastructure, licensing, and performance optimization require strong expertise to execute well. Upgrades and integrations can also demand significant planning and effort. Although Sitecore has made major strides toward simplification with its composable SaaS offerings, navigating the transition from legacy architectures to modern cloud-first models can still be demanding for organizations.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is solving the challenge of delivering unified, personalized customer experiences across multiple channels while connecting content, customer data, and analytics in one ecosystem. Many organizations struggle with siloed systems, fragmented customer journeys, and limited visibility into engagement performance — and that’s where Sitecore truly stands out. By enabling centralized content management, real-time personalization, and measurable experience optimization, it empowers teams to make data-driven decisions and deliver relevant experiences at scale. For me, this means I can help organizations move beyond basic content publishing toward strategic digital transformation, driving measurable business impact while aligning marketing and technology teams effectively.

 ### 26. Sitecore DXP- Creating Smarter Experiences Everywhere.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan M. | Senior Solutions Architect, Strategy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore DXP is robust, flexible, and highly scalable. With enough expertise, you can build virtually anything your client or customer wants. The hybrid composable suite of products and platforms allow businesses to start with a solid foundation with the CMS in SitecoreAI and connect and configure additional products as their digital maturity grows.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore products and platforms are not the right solution for every business. Strategy and implementation can be complicated and typically requires an experienced partner. Managing, maintaining, and fully leveraging these products to their full value can be too much for some businesses without the skills, budget, or bandwidth to realize the ROI.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm glad they're unifying and simplifying their product offerings. The number of products went from two to twelve down to roughly six and SAI, Content Hub DAM, CDP, and Personalize even come as a package with "entry level" products for customers to try and get started with before they commit to a long term license agreement. It's far better to do a handful of things exceedingly well than to do a dozen things halfway.

 ### 27. Sitecore Digital Experience Platform: A Powerful Tool for Digital Transformation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sreekrishnan K. | Sitecore Lead, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The Sitecore Digital Experience Platform (DXP) is a scalable platform that helps organizations improve and refine service delivery. Sitecore enables customers to strengthen customer relationships by blending content, digital marketing, and other marketing components through cross-channel management, which supports customer interaction and communication.

The platform also offers a low/no-code experience that can help a wide range of users, including those who may not have strong Sitecore skills. It makes it easier to work within the product and build a website without needing deep technical expertise.

Sitecore also has excellent documentation and a strong community, so both new and experienced users can find the guidance and information they need. In addition, Sitecore provides excellent customer support.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The platform’s cost can be an important consideration, particularly for larger organizations. Also, while the documentation is updated frequently, there can be a short period after new product releases when the documentation is still being finalized.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore helps bring these experiences together by offering a centralized place for consistent content management and delivery. Its AI-powered personalization capabilities allow businesses to tailor content and offers to individual customers based on their preferences and behaviors. ### 31. Sitecore DXP: G.O.A.T

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VISHAL K. | Technical Lead, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore is definitely one of the top players in the Digital Experience Platform space. They’ve got a pretty unique way of working with clients and partners that really sets them apart in the industry. The customization options they provide are honestly amazing—Sitecore can fit into any industry and handle whatever needs you have. Each new version just keeps getting better too. Plus, Sitecore makes it so much easier for non-technical folks to create, edit, and manage web content for big companies without any hassle.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

There’s no option for a trial or learning license, which makes it hard to try out the platform.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have worked with many customers, and Sitecore is handling many issues like cutting down time to launch web apps, supporting a lot of integrations, and personalization and more. Now, with the world moving towards AI, Kubernetes, and containers, Sitecore is right there with the latest tech. It’s helping me stay in touch with the tech revolution, and it’s adapting well with time.

 ### 32. Highly Extensible, Customizable Backend for Complex Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaymin C. | Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Extensibility and Customization: The backend is incredibly buildable and flexible. It lets you inherit and override standard pipelines so you can tailor them to complex business logic and specific workflow needs.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Legacy Upgrade Pain: Traditional on-premise or self-hosted versions of Sitecore (XP/XM) are notoriously difficult and expensive to upgrade. In practice, the process often feels less like a straightforward version bump and more like a full migration.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It functions like a unified ecosystem. Since content, media assets, and user data all live in one place, you can follow a customer’s entire journey seamlessly from start to finish. Instead of stitching together five different platforms, you get a clear, consistent view of user engagement in one spot.

 ### 33. Flexible, Open Platform with Minor Personalization Hurdles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam W. | Chief Technology Officer, NA West, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I like the openness of the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform. It has been built as an open platform, easy to integrate with, and flexible for many different applications and application types. I appreciate that Sitecore is easy to set up and has been getting easier over time. Even though it has a lot of flexibility and features, it is still pretty quick for an initial setup.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The XP platform personalization tools seem overcomplicated and less straightforward than many of the competing platforms. They could have been built to better leverage industry standard tools that clients are already using for analytics and data collection instead of creating an entire new apparatus for that functionality.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sitecore Digital Experience Platform to manage content and digital assets centrally, expose content to multiple platforms, and create flexible, personalized UI components for web properties.

 ### 34. Powerful for Developers, Needs Easier Entry for Newbies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinay Kumar Y J. | Sitecore Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

I really like the developer experience with the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform. The tooling provided for developers to extend the software is amazing. It helps with customization of the tools to provide a tailored experience for the content authoring and marketing teams. Additionally, it was easy to set up an MVP.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The entry barrier for new developers is very thick. That could definitely be improved. Maybe by introducing trial tiers, and free learning resources.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sitecore Digital Experience Platform for website content management and digital experience management, helping customize tools for tailored content authoring and marketing.

 ### 35. Mature, Customizable Platform with Strong Community and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore is a mature platform that continues to improve. It has a huge community, so when we run into challenges, we often find that peers have already solved them. One of Sitecore’s strongest features is how customizable it is, along with how easy it is to integrate with major third-party providers. It also has many fully baked connectors available for integrations.

Our team is in Sitecore daily to handle content updates, and it powers multiple sites under our brand. We work closely with our vendor, and when issues or questions come up around the core product, Sitecore’s customer and development support are excellent.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Sitecore isn’t the cheapest option, and the way it’s implemented can make a big difference in the overall experience. There’s also a significant learning curve to really understand how it works behind the scenes. Depending on the version you’re on or implementation, performance in certain situations can be a bit slow.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore powers our public websites, allows editors to create, update and publish content, and manages personalization of content.

 ### 36. Powerful CMS. Peace of Mind Included.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amie D. | Senior Web Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

This is a tool that lets us build a complex site architecture. It makes a lot of things possible and helps bring the structure together in a clear way.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

At the moment, we are working with XP 9.3 and have fragmented content and some issues with components. This limitation impacts how long it takes us to finish a campaign. However, with Sitecore AI release, we are thinking of upgrading to eliminate any roadblocks.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore DXP helps us manage complex content faster and with less friction. It gives us the efficiency we need to move quickly, while the built‑in governance and security give us peace of mind in a highly regulated environment.

 ### 37. Simple Implementation, Editor-Friendly Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank Z. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I really like the clear structure and the pleasant model for developers of the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform. The wysiwyg editor works well, especially when the components align well with it. The Next.js SDK is very useful because it allows for building editor-friendly components without frontenders needing much specific Sitecore knowledge. With Typescript, we can make agreements between Sitecore (backend) and frontend development for quick implementation. Also, the initial installation was quite easy via SIA.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Having to switch between content tree and WYSIWYG can sometimes be annoying. Not everything can always be executed entirely in one model.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform for content management and quickly going live with pages. The Next.js SDK and TypeScript enable rapid implementation without front-end developers needing specific Sitecore knowledge.

 ### 38. Powerful Architecture, but Pricey for Smaller Budgets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthias B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I really appreciate Sitecore Digital Experience Platform's extensibility and the structured approach it offers with templates, layouts, and data-items. I like the structured tree-like approach compared to modern 'put everything on a pile' systems. Data visualization according to the navigation structure is another feature I enjoy. The ability to configure how data looks through system-wide templates is great, as is the common approach to seeing how layouts assigned in the content tree will look later on, as long as it's not a headless setup.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

The Experience Editor is sometimes quite slow and the suggested docker-containers for their setup are sometimes quite unstable. Sometimes there are setup issues, like if your Solr is not set up in HTTPS mode, some connections won't work. Also, Sitecore is too expensive for a friend, but for a colleague where price isn't an issue, I would recommend it.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sitecore Digital Experience Platform for its structured architecture, which is understandable for clients, and a configurable template system, allowing for a clear layout and data organization.

 ### 39. Flexible Platform, But Slow Startup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik v. | Lead Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

I like the extendability of Sitecore Digital Experience Platform. Almost everything is possible to extend in the Sitecore platform due to its flexibility. For instance, it allows patching in the pipelines or other core Sitecore functionality. It's great that if the client requests new features, it's almost always possible to implement them because of this flexible structure. Also, our client is able to maintain content effectively with well-structured rights management.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?**

Startup time. When developing and rebuilding it always takes a lot of time before Sitecore started up. This is a daily developer struggle.

**What problems is Sitecore Digital Experience Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform makes it easy for our client to maintain content with structured rights management and offers extendability, allowing us to meet almost any feature request.

 ### 40. Highly Flexible and Robust, Perfect for Growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars
